I waited for ages, read the reviews and immediately tried to cancel my order. They responded the next day and said my order was on the way - pfffft!
Initially i thought they seemed quite strong, so i gave them a go (the most expensive 'pro' ones on the website btw). I've had them less than a week and my chair wheel broke right through one of them. Asking for a refund and now waiting on a reply, I wish Google would stop listing this cowboy. Raging.

I have reported this company to trading standards. My mat has ended up in about 20 pieces and they would not consider a refund or replacement mat. It only lasted a month or so.

Worst experience ever. Do Not Buy from this company. I'm following up with trading standards, but because they're not UK based I doubt I'll get my money back, but these guys need shutting down ASAP. The product was shipped badly, it cracked and broke on the 2nd day and I've been unable to get a refund despite them agreeing it was faulty. Their stock line seems to be to offer a tiny discount, and then when that's declined they request the item to be shipped (at buyers expense) to Germany so that they can inspect. Cost of shipping usually being greater than cost of item. It's a huge con ...do not use this company. !! ....Also, I'm unable to get a refund from my credit card company as they refuse to support the refund as I've been unable to return it. I think that is pretty mean, so MBNA Visa card is also getting a mention!!

Not U.K. based as advertised, when I received my ‘ rug’ it was substandard cheap carpet stuck onto flimsy plastic.. not what I was expecting for just under £50.00– in fact you could buy the same quality from your local cheap street market for £9.99.. luckily I paid via PayPal and will Perdue a full refund as the company have declined to refund unless I send it registered post back to Germany which will cost substantially more than the carpet is worse- they did offer me a £7.00 refund..via email, which is offensive in itself..

Please spend your hard earned money elsewhere..

Exactly the same experience with mat breaking within a few weeks. Offer of 16% off next mat but no offer of refund despite the product being faulty. Terrible product. DO NOT BUY!!!

Another Company that thinks Spamming will gain them business, Never trust a company that SPAMS you, Most companies that Spam will also SCAM you

Bought a mat (marketed for long life and break resistance) only for it to crack into loads of pieces in less than 2 months. Initial email response was that they would give me a 16% discount on me purchasing another one!!! I have requested refund and they say the only way they would "consider" that is if i send the mat to Germany (i like others had presumed floor mats UK was a UK company). They are now ignoring all emails and no answering of phone hotline. I posted a review on their site, which funnily enough has not shown up there yet. As an update to this review..., I have since raised this with my bank who have reclaimed the money i paid through a debit chargeback scheme (this was a really "pain-free" mechanism with the email correspondence i already had with the supplier as evidence).

My second review for this shower, just to let you all know i received a full refund by speaking to my bank and using chargeback, this was unchallenged by floormats.co.uk. I know it's hassle but do it out of principle!!

Bought a mat which cost £90. Good customer service to buy the product but when it broke they emailed me to say I should send it back to Germany. That's impossible as the mat is 114x130cm and broken. If I roll it up to send it to them it would break into tiny pieces. Since then I cannot get any email response and noone answers the phone. I bought three smaller mats from them aswell and would have expected better service than this. They should not be called Floor Mats UK as they are in Germany which is misleading aswell.

This company is based in GERMANY! I bought a floor mat for £76 and less than 3 months later it is totally broken up and useless. They want me to send it back to Germany at my expense to "check" the quality. It is almost in pieces! DO NOY BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Did not realise 'Floor Mats UK' was based in Germany when I ordered a floor mat. I didn't like the product and wanted to send it back but did not receive responses when submitting their website's Contact Form or calling their Contact Phone Number. Eventually got a reply after e-mailing them but the cost of posting would have been so expensive that it makes it not worthwhile. I wish I'd paid on credit but I've just wasted £30! Don't buy here!

Terrible. I ordered two chair mats for my wife and I for normal office chair use in our home office. Both cracked badly within weeks. The best offer has been a 23% refund otherwise we need to post the cracked mats to Germany at our own expense for inspection. Bad review removed from their website. Avoid this company. The cheap one my son bought from ikea has survived in tact much longer.

Chair Mat for Carpet Floors - PRO Series (transparent)

I bought a Polycarbonate Chair Mat for Carpets and it took 6 weeks to be delivered.
This is not a UK business, it is just a front for "Iconik Europe GmbH" which is why it took so long to deliver, it comes from Europe and they don't specify that anywhere.

Also, after ONE week of use, it broke in several places. But the site says "crack-, curl-, break-, scratch- and yellow-resistant" which is non-sense.

So stay away, it's the worst mat from the Worst company in the world.

Really disappointed with this company. Have used them twice before and have been pleased with the mats. Understandably, over time, the mats have needed replacing so I confidently placed a third order with floormats.co.uk. The mat arrived on time but within 4 weeks of home-office use, the latest mat cracked in multiple places and eventually split in two.

I emailed the company with a set of photos, but they insisted I resend the mat to Germany so they could inspect it. (The cost of posting would have been £30+ with no guarantee of any refund, so here's a Company with a returns policy that is so expensive for the customer that it makes it not worthwhile.) I emailed a second time explaining the situation, and they stuck to their line of "return it to us for inspection". I've since had no response to my third email.

I'm now £70 down on my purchase, with a mat which is heading to the recycling centre.

Be very careful if you decide to buy from this company.

I made the mistake of trusting the reviews on their own site and not verifying somewhere independently before ordering.

The order took over 10 days to arrive, with the tracking not updating at any point in this time, which admittedly may be down to external factors rather than the company themselves.

On delivery the package and mat were in fine condition, however the mat was tightly rolled within the box and secured with a plastic strap. On cutting the strap the mat flung open with quite some force, fortunately not hitting me or anything else. In hindsight I should have foreseen it but a warning label certainly wouldn't go amiss. The edge of the mat could easily have taken a chunk out of a piece of furniture or small child.

I was initially pleased with the mat itself, but fast forward 3 months of home-office use (regular office chair on wheels, and me weighing around 70kg) and it has now cracked in multiple places.

I attempted to contact the company multiple times via email and the contact form on their website to arrange for a replacement or refund but never received a reply. Fortunately I had paid through PayPal so was able to open a dispute (which they also ignored) so ended up with all my money back.

Would strongly recommend against making a purchase here.

Ordered mat with 2 day delivery. Cancelled by email after 17 days as job was finished (that the mat was for). They then "processed" the order and shipped even though I said DO NOT SHIP specifically in my email. Now they state I have to ship back to Germany at my expense which is against UK Consumer law. SCAM COMPANY ..DO NOT USE

They didn’t dispatch the product until I chased, 10 days after I placed the order. They immediately started offering me discounts which was concerning.

The packing arrived damaged so the mat was coming out of the packaging.

The mat is really cheap, but I paid £43, which comparatively should get me a good mat. The mat was rigid, I was expecting it to be softer and rolled, it was just a huge sheet of brittle plastic.

The customer service has been absolutely horrendous, I just want to return the product & get a refund. Who knows whether I’ll be able to get one.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Avoid like the plague, mat cracked in less than a week and the only recourse is to pay for shipping back to Germany. After 2 months the mat is completely in pieces

Update - please note as of 8/11/2021 floormats.co.uk have suspended their web site for "updates" - they are likely trying to combat all the negative reviews and or change their trading name / web address etc - check carefully who you are buying your floor mat from....please read on.

My experience is consistent with many below...
My mat actually arrived - but it cracked/failed after a few weeks of normal use as did many others per the multiple negative reviews below. They asked for a photo of the cracking/defect and then offered a pathetic 16% refund on a mat that cost over a 100GBP. I refused they offered a 23% refund I refused - they then said the mat needs to be sent back to Germany at my expense so they can inspect it! Total BS!! - they know their products are defective so they offer a pathetic refund % or make it too hard for the customer to return it so that they retain a profit and you get to keep a BS defective mat (or hard plastic shards of a broken mat) - just look at the many negative reviews below.....buy from a local manufacturer/distributor. This company is in Germany not in the UK as their ".co.uk" web address would lead you to believe.. Don't do it!!
Update - as the mat disintegrates it cracks into incredibly hard and sharp plastic (glass-like) shards that will slice your foot open if you accidenty stand on them - you've been warned.

I should have read the reviews here! When my first order failed to arrive they resent the item. I was initially really pleased with it but the mat cracked after 2 months and is now in pieces. £60 wasted on what I thought was a high end mat. No response to my emails or their contact us form. Honestly, shocked by the poor quality product and even worse service. Buyers beware
