Disappointed with marketplace
I’ve ordered a book at FNAC Marketplace and only on the confirmation, it was mentioned they would send me a different edition. Tried to sort it out or cancel the order but costumer service couldn’t do anything.
Then yesterday I’ve got a notification saying my book was delivered but it wasn’t!! I’ve paid for a “envoi suivi” to be sure it would be delivered and not even that.
Never in my life I had such a bad experience with customer service.
I had to talk to 3 different people and the seller to try to solve the issue and nobody did. Seller wouldn’t even respond.
I’m very disappointed! Never wasting my money on marketplace again.

So bad! I ordered a vacume cleaner 3 weeks ago. The product never arrived at the store for pick-up. The customer service at FNAC Boulogne Billancourt are pretty much useless. A mid-aged white man at the customer service was rude and impatient. At the beginning he accused me that I have received the product already which was never the case. All they did was asking me to wait wait and wait. What a joke. That's why Amazon is dominating the market.

False promotions. Unreliable company first (and last) time…
Up date: two weeks before they cancelled my purchase, still with out put my money back. This is outright theft, the worst non-purchasing experience ever. They just charged, canceled, did not send anything and do not refund the money. Do not respond to emails.
I shopped for the first (and last) time at this Swiss branch of Fnac. It had a super attractive offer on a couple of children's books for blackfriday and that was their false lure to get me into the store. WRONG. The publication promised available copies and immediate delivery, was saturday and supposedto be delivery at Wednesday. I received a confirmation email and the bank registered the purchase. On the 5th day I checked the status to see what happened, and my purchase had not even been processed yet. Any e mail or something. I wrote an email to ask what was going on and their response was an automatic email saying that there had been an error and that they cancelled my order. A common practice of this pseudo company, because I have read that they usually have these promotions that turn out to be false because after they simply cancel. The worst part has been for my daughter, who was left without the birthday gifts she wanted. And, my money is still withheld 3 days later by my bank because Fnac cancel de delivery but does not cancel the transaction with the bank. I hope they do at some point .... I will be back to tell you if not.

Non delivery of a next day item
Placed an order on the 21/11/2023 for express delivery next day which I paid the extra of 7.99 euros! It didn’t arrive and the emails they sent gave no indication that it was not going to be delivered! We waited in all day and no show! Tracked again today and it eventually arrived not by Chronopost as stated on their emails but by La Poste. How do you get your money back for the express delivery as it clearly did not happen?

I ordered a sound bar. I had enquired about the discounted price with the advisor before placing the order and I was informed that the low price was due to stock clearance but still my order was cancelled later, not sure if I can trust their website after this experience if after spending time and effort in ordering a item it later is cancelled by them.

Extremely poor service at FNAC Paris. I have been shouted at when politely asking help / advice in the children’s book department. This is not the first time I have bad and disappointing experience at FNAC but it is certainly the last time I am going there.
Poor and deceiving sales and guarantee policy !
We don’t suggest buying any electronic product from FNAC. Also, we don’t suggest buying extra guarantees of FNAC because they don’t stand behind their guarantees and their extra guarantees are tricky and misleading without any real benefit, and which are not correctly explained to their clients. The details of our experience is as follows.
A month ago, we bought an Asus ROG Strix 27-inch curved gaming monitor, as we thought that having a screen of the same brand with the gaming laptop would be better in terms of compatibility and performance. Although there were cheaper alternatives, we chosen ASUS for that reason.
Yesterday, horizontal lines suddenly appeared on the screen, and we packed it up and took it to the FNAC store where we bought it.
The customer service employee opened the box, plugged the monitor, and suddenly accused us that the screen is broken, and it is our fault! My wife and I were shocked since there was no damage on the product, no cracks and scratches on the screen or the plastic frame, no signs of any impact, no mishandling on our part. However, we were accused of misuse and damaging the product like touching the screen or impacting the screen, none of this was said, but to be accused in such a way was too upsetting. We were treated as if we were using a screen for the first time in our lives.
Firstly, we handled the screen with the outmost care in all stages and it stays where it has been placed since the first day. In addition, we are using computers and monitors since almost 1990’s and till today we haven’t got any broken or damaged screen. They cannot show any sign of misuse or impact on the screen or the plastic parts because there isn’t any. Also, this is a gaming monitor, it is built more durable than other monitors or at least expected to be like that. If a monitor screen is broken or damaged just by touching it, then almost all monitors should break, since almost in each workplace people are constantly touching their screens to show or point something to their colleagues.
On the other hand, the customer relations personnel aren’t a technical service person such as electronical engineer technician specialised in monitors. Without opening the casing or seeing inside or the monitor and doing a thorough inspection how he can conclude that the screen is broken and damage by us. In that case there should be some signs of impact on the screen. There wasn’t any like shown in the pictures. Without such impact how it is possible to damage the inner layer of the screen?
It is obvious that is a malicious politics of FNAC to accuse their clients for everything and to get rid of any responsibility of bad service and defected products. When we were purchasing the monitor the salesperson of FNAC sold us a 100 Euro guarantee by telling us that it covers all type of defects, malfunctions and failures and we can directly reimburse the product in such case and either could have our money back or have the product changed. The vendor didn't mention any word of exclusions. But when we have a problem with the product, now the person in the aftersales service prints and gives us the conditions of the guarantee and says that any impact resulting from us is out of guarantee without any proof which tells that it is the case.
