I was a visa card holder with first national bank of omaha. For many years starting around 2000.
In August 2025 while attempting to make an online payment
I noticed withrawls from my bank account that I did not autorize.
After reviewing prior statments
I identified similar charges dated October16 and 17.2023
And April 15 and 16.2024.
I contacted customer service and
Was initially told the charges would be refunded but later I was informed
that they would not be.
I then worked with my bank to file a claim and recived.
The fund back subsequently FNBO reversed the credit and re-charged
a total of $175.80 to my card account.
I closed the account but i continue to collection recive calls regarding this balance.

I was given a $5,000 credit limit ; I used $,2,000 of the card so far; I paid my bill on-time, never late !!! I have 5
other credit cards with on-time payments as well.
This company without proper notice decreased my spending line to $2,600.00 ; This made my credit score -8 points against me !!! I called to speak with a supervisor that had no care in the world nor did the representative. They even agreed with me or not understanding why this happen ; Basically stated wait 4 months to get another line of credit! I pay my bills on time and work!! 10+ years with this credit card company. They are the worst bank I’ve ever used. The longest wait times, rude people, no resolution. I’ve overlooked many wrongs over 10 years, but I’m finally done dealing with this awful bank. Going to Wells Fargo

I needed to make an extra payment. I called. I wrestler on the phone with a woman for 35 minutes about it. Said it would posted the next day. It wasn't. Called back repeatedly, but could not get anybody. Their call numbers are an automated nightmare. Their customer service is confusing at best and incompetent at worst. Will be transferring balance to a different lender. SMH.

The worst bank policy and staff.
I used it in association for an airline which it dropped the milage program. However, they automatically charged you bank fee every year and wouldn't refund you if you cancelled it before the year you start.

This is one of the worst Credit Company, when you try to make a payment or pay the total balance, they claim that you or bank stopped payment and charge you a late payment and a reverse payment fee. Every month get ready for rollercoaster ride. Stay away from this Company at all costs please trust me and thank me later.

Today, I tried cashing a FNB check from a company. Since I’m not a member, the banker had to call the company and verify. Unfortunately, the company who issued the check wasn’t answering. So I was told I couldn’t cash the check until tomorrow(or if they can reach the company). I wasn’t mad as I understand since I’m not a member. The banker named Fabio went above and beyond for me.
He told me he would call this company and leave a message explaining the situation and if they call back he would contact me.
Shortly after 4:55, I received a call from the 5 star banker Fabio. He went above and beyond for me and delivered. I definitely thought it wasn’t going to happen considering the time and time of the year.
Thank you Fabio, you’re a true gentleman and your kindness during our entire time in the bank was great from the moment I walked inside. Thanks buddy

It is my fault that I forgot to cancel my card before the annual membership fee. However, I just want to report that they were willing to cancel, but made me jump through hoops to be able to do so with calling back multiple times on multiple days to be able to get my $99 back.

This is a wicked terrible customer service credit card company. The personnel have no empathy for their valued customers. I was extremely disappointed with their call center CRS agents as they can never resolved my credit refund for $403.65. They continued to call me to follow up in a few days which I did but same result paper check not issued yet since 11-23-2025 when I requested a refund check. They do not give their va,Jed customers the option for an e-deposit as I paid in the past with my online bank account. FBNO is extremely OUTDATED WITH THEIR TECHNOLOGY AS THEIR RIVAL CREDIT CARD COMPANIES ARE MUCH BETTER. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS WICKED TERRIBLE LOUSY CRS AS I WENT THROUGH.

Ditto on the bad reviews for their Reward Points plan. It is okay to use the points for "credit" but try redeeming cash back. Good luck. Eight days later, and multiple phone calls today, after waiting for my money to deposit to my account I was told, "oh sorry, the bank rejected it. Wrong routing or account number or something. Then I was put on hold and finally hung-up after 45 minutes. Hmm
Had to redo the whole thing as if it never happened. Try redeeming point with the automated phone system; "push one (1) if you want credit, push two (2) if you want a mailed check." Hmm again. P.S. If you close the account you lose the reward points. Is that not money owed to you. Where does it go then?

Worst bank to deal with. zero customer service.

My main issue with this company is that they are lately overprotective. What is the use of using thier service if all your purchases are flasely flagged as fraud. They just can't live me alone and we are fed up with this nonsense. All I want is them, not bothering us for the next 3 months, about fraud.

Very rude customer service representatives, especially the review team. They are always very route and doesn’t want to speak with customers and every time I call them they seem that they just woke up from sleep. It happened 3 times. They didn’t let me know what should I provide to resolve my issue. They will need to change their staff.

I would not recommend taking out any sort of mortgage or loan with this bank. They will just sell it to an out-of-state institution with a poor reputation, tell you it’s “part of normal business” and all you can do it address it is pay off your mortgage or refinance your loan at a much higher interest rate, and then when you go to respond, they will have blocked your email address.

This bank has been fair to me . I have received two loans and currently have a credit card with them through my union 32bj seiu membership. And the made early payoff of loans easy .

Stay away from this bank's credit card. Terrible experience. I made a simple credit card transaction, they flagged it as fraud. I called in verified my info, and that I made the purchase. They still left a hold on my card, so I could not use it, or even pay my balance. When I call in to find out, I was on hold for a long time, and then they say they cannot do anything, it needs to go through fraud investigation. About 2 weeks later, I get a call asking for my ID, signed social security card, AND pay stub or tax documents. I asked to speak to a manager, and they said they cannot do that. Never experienced this before.

My personal information was stolen and some Apple egift cards were charged. When I saw the charges I immediately reported the fraud to FNBO, the card was cancelled, and I changed computer and email passwords. I was just notified that I would not be reimbursed for the fraud because it was charged to my information. Yeah, because my information was stolen, which is textbook fraud. You don't have reliable fraud protection with FNBO.

Don’t ever use this company. I was scammed from fishing emails and was told I would not have to worry and I will be refunded my money. After my dispute, pending, turns out I am now told it will not be approved and I am responsible for it. I would highly recommend Chase Visa. They handled my case and had excellent customer service and made me feel so much better. I am so upset that I was told I had nothing to worry about and it would be disputed only to find out multiple people apparently were wrong?

I’ve been a cardholder with FNBO’s Amtrak Guest Rewards credit card, and unfortunately, the experience has been far from smooth. When I requested a credit limit increase, FNBO failed to disclose any reason for the denial—despite initiating hard inquiries across all major credit bureaus within seconds. That kind of aggressive credit hit, without explanation, is excessive and unnecessary.
To make matters worse, the annual fee simply appears on your statement with no prior notice. There’s no heads-up, no courtesy reminder—just a charge that leaves you no time to cancel or reconsider. Nearly every other major card issuer offers soft pulls for credit limit reviews and sends advance alerts before renewal fees hit. FNBO’s approach feels outdated and inconsiderate of the customer experience.
If you value transparency, fair credit practices, and basic communication, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. This card may offer travel perks, but the backend policies are a frustrating ride.
