We visited your Brigstowe St, Bristol store on Sunday the 6th of April and received excellent customer service from a friendly, extremely helpful employee named Pratham who went out of their way to make our shopping experience an excellent one. I have sent good feedback to Head Office :)

Absolutely phenomenal. They response quickly, honestly and with such clarity. I immediately understood and learned what I wanter. Especially John, he's the best.

Dedicated assistance whenever you need
I have always received good help at Waterstones store no matter where the location was. The staff in the store and the online customer service are very helpful. Nothing whenever they can do is bothersome.
It is overwhelmingly a place to find good books, and stationery.
Moreover, the store has comfortable seats for a quick read and perhaps a cuppa from the in-house cafe.

Poor Customer service over book subscription
I ordered as a gift for my son a years paperback subscription on 27th January. On 29th January he received a parcel only containing a receipt which obviously i didnt want him to see. In mid February having received no book I enquired to be told that the subscription hadnt been activated and would now start in March. On18th February I wrote again asking for the February book to be sent independently. Sadly as of 2nd March there has been no sign of it, no explanation and no apology. In short no books have been received by my son whose birthday weeks ago

Kindness and care from 2 lovely people
It was a somewhat trivial issue I had - a missing piece in a small puzzle - but the response I had was exemplary.
Alyssa was attentive and responded very quickly to my complaint and suggested I take it back to the store, however as I explained I’m nowhere near a Foyles store, Alyssa got in touch with the shop I bought it from and sorted a replacement for me. It was then Ben from the store who impressed me too, as Ben added in an extra puzzle as an apology - super kind! This really made my day and made an annoying situation so much better! Even for such a seemingly small issue, the attention to detail and care from Alyssa & Ben really shows what a great customer care & shop team Foyles has.
Thank you both! Small acts of kindness go a long way.

Chelmsford visit September 2024
I visited the Chelmsford store and loved the shop, the layout, the carefully curated autumnal books and the way the books were arranged to make them easy to find. I had a chat with the bookseller and settled on two books and a bookmark. When I made my purchase I realised I had left my Foyalty card at home but through the excellent customer service e mail, Alyssa added my points for me. Superb customer service AND bilbliotherapy that restored my spirits when I was hundreds of miles from home. Thank you Foyles!
