Update: Freeletics eventually reimbursed me. I was charged €50 for a renewal without any prior notification before the end of my 3-month trial. This is a clear violation of French consumer la... See more

Unethical Renewal Practices – Feels Like a Trap
Like many others have reported, I was charged nearly £95 for a subscription I didn’t realise had renewed, despite not using the app in over a year. I only discovered the charge after it had gone through, and when I contacted Freeletics with proof of non-use, they refused to refund me. Instead, they offered a voucher for future use, which I don’t want or need.
After looking into it, I found dozens of reviews going back years with the same issue: people lured in with discounts, charged without warning, and denied refunds. No reminder emails, no price change notifications, and no clear way to cancel. It’s hard not to feel like this is part of their business model.
This isn’t just poor customer service, it’s exploitative. Freeletics needs to fix this. Until they do, I’d strongly recommend choosing another app with transparent billing and actual support.
Short sessions and adjustable
Short sessions and adjustable . In my body didn’t changed enough. Cardio is increased but strength a little. I lost one kilo overall.
Freeletics is my training companion…
Freeletics is my training companion since many years. Love it.
Good to get started, used for 12 weeks
The app is good to get started and without thinking of what to do.
After 8 weeks of a 12week journey it go monotonous, a few good workouts but just doubled or tripled the workouts when progressing.
The 3.6 stars give a few representation of the app.
First 48-session programme completed!
Today, I finished the Explosive Strength programme consisting in 48 sessions. For someone like me who's never really been sporty, giving my best for 4 months was an insane achievement. I cannot thank Freeletics enough, and I'm already on my way to my second journey!!
Great app
Great app. Makes exercising super easy with no session being the same to the last. You can just set a training journey and let the app guide you through it. Pays for itself in a matter of sessions compared to getting a personal trainer. Highly recommend (been using the app for nearly 3 years now)
Been of an on this app for 7 years
Been of an on this app for 7 years. It is truly great and I can’t speak highly enough about it. Got two lads at work onto it and they both are having a good experience with it also. Now go Train! 🤩👊💥
Auto renewal Scam! Unauthorized subscription and worst customer service!
All negative reviews are true here! I have been charged for auto renewal silently. They do not remind you via email or any other means. I haven't used the app and still I am charged with £94.99!
Avoid this app at all cost! do not give your payment details to this app cause even if you cancel subscription, they will keep taking your money without your will!
They do not have any phone number or chat service available. When I write to customer service, they say that their subscription policy is strict and once the renewal is completed, they will not give refund what so ever! Never use this app!
They follow such a cheap method of gaining money! I will delete my account and give a word of mouth to others about my extremely unpleasant experience!
Money cannot buy fitness …
I have been on this program for almost 4 years and I have gained so much benefit out of it. And for the price that I paid I personally believe it’s a very good deal. It motivated me to complete my program.
For comparison, a friend of mine who joined the same program at the same time and left citing it was too boring. He health has deteriorated and could not even do the warming exercises when he visited me the other week.
So but for this program I won’t have the health and fitness I have today. So yes. Thank you very much.
Stay far away from this. Scam!
I have canceled the subscription few yeasr ago and just found out the kept charging me every year for a yearly subscription. Of course they dont have policy of returning the money. Scammers! Stay away!
Like so many
Like so many, I have been caught up in a renewal scam. Will be contacting my credit card number. Avoid.

Better than the rest
Used a few apps before and none have the same good features Freeletics has
Great customer service experience this…
Great customer service experience this week! Marghareta kindly refunded me as I had been given an incorrect company name when purchasing a gift card. Regular emails from her and a colleague Nick. Much appreciated!

Autorenewal rip off
As reported by others, automatic renewal of subscription occurs by default and the first you learn is the email informing you that 100 odd quid has been taken from your account. Very unethical, and completely unlike all other subscribed services I use. I wrote immediately to ask for refund, just to be told it was in the small print of a contract I'd agreed to a year previously. Massive rip off. The app itself is OK, but not for the full price they charge.
Feel free to try the app, but I would advise that the first workout you do is a pull up to the app menu, a burpee down to the account settings, and then some reps of the "cancel subscription" option... avoid the rip off in the event that you don't continue to use the app.
MASSIVE RIP OFF
They do not send reminders for annual subscription renewals. So if you forget that you subscribed because you stopped using the app because it is very limited, you will be charged twice for the pleasure. They refused to refund the second payment, the automatic email was received about 10 seconds after the request, looks like they do this a lot. AVOID THIS APP

Freeletics charge double the amount from old users
Today I found out that the application charged me 49.99 usd automatically without my consent. I also find out that I personally had to cancel the subscription before the automatic extension, which is very tricky! I even feel trapped and I did not welcome this policy at all!
I purchased the application last year for 24,99 with a 50% discount offer, which is almost always available. In this regard, I understand new comers are able purchase same service for 24.99, but Freeletics is punishing old customer by charging double of this amount. Freeletics must know, charging old users for 49.99, while newcomers are always able to use the very same service for 24.99 is very frustrating!
By the way, application is way too overrated, moves are classic that you can find in many "actually free" applications, videos etc. The so-called arrangement of daily programme by professionals is not so convincing as it does not consider age, weight and even persistence, as it expects you to resume by the very same program a month ago altough it knows that you haven’t been training for a month. Besides, the warm up is very demotivating, sometimes harder that the program itself.
