Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 65 reviews, most reviewers had an average experience overall. Many customers express significant dissatisfaction with the company's subscription and payment practices, frequently reporting automatic renewals without prior notification. This often leads to unexpected charges, and people find it difficult to obtain refunds for these unwanted renewals, even when the app hasn't been used. Some consumers feel the company relies on customers forgetting about renewals and then hides behind non-refundable policies, which they perceive as anti-consumer. However, some customers also noted positive aspects regarding the app itself. Many users appreciate the app's effectiveness, finding it helpful for fitness goals and consistent training. People describe the app as intuitive, with clear exercise videos and engaging workouts that adapt to their needs. Some reviewers even consider the app fantastic and have used it religiously for extended periods.

Unethical business practices.

There are complaints as far back as 5 years ago about the subscription renewal practices for Freeletics. You are lured in with a discount, but then auto-renewal is done without any warning and money is taken from your account. There is no warning of a price increase either. Given that people have been complaining about this for so many years you’d think they’d listen to customer feedback and set up a subscription renewal alert email. I suspect most of their revenue is for ‘non-refundable’ accidental renewals. I think this practice is unethical - the whole thing feels like a scam. Avoid - there are much better fitness apps available with better customer care.

Changed the way I exxercise, eat and feel!

For someone that doesn’t like to go to gym and enjoys training outdoors and/or on their own, this has been a game changer. Love the exercises, tracking, progress feedback and the nutrition app also helped me improve my diet. Feeling and looking better every day!

Freeletics is just a scam

Freeletics is just a scam - they renew your subscription without warning and refuse to give refunds. The app is not worth it, there are much better things out there for free.

The automated renewal is a scam

The automated renewal is a scam! You are not notified before the renewal charge is debited from your account. The customer service is unhelpful as they remain 'firm on their terms and conditions'

This unethical behavior has to stop as the internet is full of complaints from unsuspecting customers who are charged without prior notice.

The workouts are AWESOME 👍

The workouts are AWESOME 👍, the coach is great. With daily reminders to workout and keep up with the nutrition plan shows me that going to an ordinary gym is for losers. Just Kidding 😂 I can't afford a gym let alone the transportation and other fees associated with them. But with FREELETICS, I'm able to keep a consistent workout routine at home or on the go! I paid for the yearly fee which is very cost effective and helpful for a guy like me who's lives on a Tight and I mean buns of steel tight budget. FREELETICS you have a changed my life, especially after recovering from Coronavirus I began using your app to get myself back on track, from being hospitalized for 3 months. FREELETICS will you marry me. 😂 No seriously, this app was what a guy like me was missing from him life. Definitely 😁 a Freeletlete for Life!

The 14 day money back guarantee does not apply for subscription renewals

Freeletics has a NO REFUND policy for renewals. I cancel subscription last year and remove the app but the subscription renewed today automatically despite the fact they used a debit card expired two years ago (since when I stopped using this scammer app).
AVOID!!
Extra info: apart from not informing you of moving to a permanent subscription without informing you about it or notification of next payment, they also refuse to take part in any arbitration process as stated in their Ts&Cs:
"Consumer information: Non-participation in dispute resolution proceedings.

We are neither prepared nor required to participate in dispute settlement proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Our email address can be found on our company info page."

The best home workout app

I have been using freeletics for years (on and off) and I love it! The coach saves you the time needed to choose workouts, it adapts with your needs, and most importantly it’s effective.
And the cost is low, also thanks to discounts!

I’m 70 and started at 65 started freeletics…

I’m 70 years old and started freeletics when I was 65. My son convinced me and I’ve convinced and converted quite a few people over the last 5 years. I love it and I’m sure you will to. It’s never too late and if you start slowly and trust the program you’ll get stronger and more flexible than you ever thought possible

This awesome app might not be for you

Great experience so far! I've been using it for one year now. It isn't cheap at front but if you're disciplined and you like to train indoor or outdoor and mostly by yourself, it's perfect. You'll save loads of gym time and money on the long run. Freeletics, plus consistency and a balance diet, it's all you need to see results and stay fit. It's based on calisthenics training principles and it's all I needed for me. 🙌

Beware of renewal scam

As so many users, massive renewal scam here. The poor corporate and customer practice completely tarnish what is otherwise a good app.
Even if written in the T&C, most of the proper corporations do not behave like this.
The email to tell you that they stole your money is titled "your coach is waiting for you", no mention in there of having a subscription renewed.
