French Connection staff need training

I shopped online at French Connection (FC) and on 11/08/25 I went to one of their stores in London to return some items. I was querying an order when a female member of staff returned and took over from her colleague. I showed an email with a reference number and she asked if I wanted to return something. I informed her that I was querying something. I asked to see the tablet and she said this was not possible. I told her this is incorrect as staff had given the tablet to me on previous occasions. She did so herself a few weeks ago. She held the tablet far away and I informed her that I couldn't see that far, she could see my glasses. I requested she bring it closer. This happened a few times.

When I asked about an order, she said ‘obviously’ which implies that I'm stupid. I was taken aback, there was no reason for such rudeness. There is a chronic problem with FC staff. They are rude and unprofessional, it’s astonishing. It is poor for staff to say to a customer 'whatever'. A FC employee said so to me on 06/08/25. They need customers to stay in business. On a scale of 1 - 10, FC gets 0. I’m yet to hear from their complaints team.

Reiss is round the corner from FC. Reiss staff are friendly and courteous, it’s a joy to walk into that store. FC should visit Reiss to see what customer service looks like and try to instil this in their staff.

Data breach

I brought a jumper from a store, I did not provide an email address for a receipt as I always opt for a paper copy however I received an email asking to review my purchase and have been signed up to their mailing list which I obviously hadn’t opt in for, when I asked how this happened they said that they didn’t know. I won’t shop there again because who knows what else they’ll do with my data.

Love the brand!

I’ve been with of French Connection for a while, and I love what they offer! The style of their clothes are modern, fresh, and always high-quality. Plus, the prices are really good for the style you get. Whether I’m dressing up or keeping it casual, they’ve got me covered. Definitely check them out if you’re looking for great quality and good prices!

Harper & French Connection

I always buy my clothes from French connection. I know the sizing and what fits/suits me. They’re my go to daily wear brand. This past year they have launched a ‘try before you buy’ option via a company named Harper. With this service you are able to order whatever you desire from French connection and pay only postage. Once the items are delivered, you have 5 days to determine whether you will keep the items or send them back. In my case, I ordered several pairs of trousers for my 80 year old mother. Having never shopped at French Connection previously and especially not on line, she was very nervous about entering personal card details and being ‘scammed’. By Harper offering this service she was able to receive her items, try them on and then unfortunately create a return label on line, all for the price of postage. It offered her reassurance and the confidence to reorder from French Connection, via Harper. I recommend this service 100%.

Try before you buy is like having the store at home!

The French Connection ‘try before you buy’ service is brilliant. Not only does it give you enough time to try clothes on, they keep you updated of the dates to return by. It’s great as there are no messy in & out payments on your account too, just the cost of the items you keep.
Wish more websites offered this!

Ordered the Street Twill Skinny…

Ordered the Street Twill Skinny Trousers.
Received it today. NOT AT ALL AS ADVERTISED. Firstly, its not skinny. Secondly, the picture on the site is the total opposite of the pants I received.
The pants I received had a tag stating "Twill Trousers", but was straight cut, business like pants.
Then - there is NO return or refund section on their website or email.
Such a bunch of scammers.
I wish I could add pictures to show the difference in what I received vs what I ordered.

Bought a gorgeous dress online in the sale. Had two of the same dress delivered via their try before you buy service, which is absolutely brilliant. Sent one back due to size. Kept the other. Great price. Great service.

I just love the Try before you buy…

I just love the Try before you buy idea, it's a game changer. No more hanging about waiting for refunds. It's such a simple process, you just pay for delivery and generally, try them on, if you like, you keep, if you don't, you return and only pay for what you have kept. I think it is a fabulous idea.

Customer service?

Update- through this review managed to get in contact with a very helpful member of customer service who provided all tracking information. The multiple email contacts provided through the Shop App and email confirmation/tracking which are recommended to contact re orders did not respond so it was very helpful to have the correct email for contact. It would be worth updating the contact customer service emails on the order emails and Shop app to avoid this issue in the future.

Awaiting delivery of a dress for an event in a few days. Tracking number EU153576. I have sent three emails now to the recommended email addresses and no response. The tracking on the email and Shop app does not work and I am left in the dark and now considering buying a dress from another company. No way of knowing which delivery company they will use so that I can try the tracking number on their website. I don’t think I have experienced a lack of response/customer service like this from any company.

It's a shame

It's a shame — this company has good quality products, but absolutely no customer service. My package was never delivered, and I tried contacting them multiple times: twice by email and twice by phone, leaving voicemails. No one ever responded, and they never answer the phone, even during business hours. This is completely unacceptable. I won’t be shopping here again.

Respond: The customer service number for US I have is 1(347)943-7988, which is listed on your website. Perhaps you should list correct number otherwise it looks like company doesn't exist. I also sent an email which I also had no response back, which also was provided on your website.
