AVOID FUSION MOTORS AT ALL COST
AVOID FUSION MOTORS AT ALL COST
VECHICLE: AUDI S3 (REG: YH67SZK)
If you think you’re getting a great deal and a smooth experience with Fusion Motors, think again! This has been one of the worst car buying experience we’ve ever had.
Monday 6th October, we went to view the car only to be told when we arrived that the car wasn’t even there. They assured us it was being delivered and ready by Wednesday.
By Wednesday, Doug called to say the car was ready to view and described it as being in ‘trillion pound condition’.
We drove 2 hours on Thursday to see it, only to find out it was still at the garage for its MOT. Doug asked us to come back in an hour. We returned, he then said the brakes were being changed and it would take another 30 minutes. After waiting over 2 hours, the car finally arrived.
- Significant scratches on the body work
- Mold in the boot where the spare wheel is kept
- Unclean inside and out
Doug promised that the cosmetic issues could be fixed if we took the car. He kept pressuring us to buy, while we were trying to inspect properly. Getting us to make our decision quickly.
We reluctantly went ahead with the purchase, a decision we immediately regretted. On the drive home, multiple red flags appeared:
1. No oil in the car (despite being told it has a full service and new MOT)
2. No washer fluid
3. Electronic fault warnings on the dashbroad (9 to be precise)
4. Visible gash on the front passenger tyre
5. Service date resets suspiciously
6. Missing undertray
7. Chip in the windscreen
8. Severe mould under the seats and the boot
Where does the 75 point check come into play & how on earth is this car AA approved, which is clearly stated in their advertisement and policy.
When we contacted Doug the next day to raise these concerns, he was dismissive, impatient, and defensive. Instead of offering solutions, he gas lit us claiming that with ‘40 years in the business he knows what he’s doing’. If we are not happy with the car just return it, which was the obvious solution to save us from further hassle and issues.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR- AVOID FUSION MOTORS, GRAYS
Proceed with caution!!
Proceed with caution!!! Dodged a bullet.
Popped in to look for a new vehicle, explained situation, being 8 months pregnant and wanting a newer vehicle that’s going to be reliable and last us the next X amount of years.
Within minutes Doug was there, we couldn’t get the vehicle out to look at properly, or even take for a test drive at that point in time as only had an hour before school run.
We pointed out some dents and damage to vehicle that he said would all get fixed prior sale, he seemed very quick to brush off questions that I had and was more interested in charming my partner, talking male talk and not really giving me a clear answer when I had questions regarding the service history and warranty. Ironic being that I was the one buying the car and holding the cash. He was swift to get us to pay a £100 holding fee, and told me he’d get the car sorted to us in the next 4 days to collect, when he hadn’t answered my question. As soon as he had that £100 he was quick to wrap up, it felt very pushed being that I hadn’t even taken for a drive and as if a full deal had been agreed and confirmed. Gave me a bit of paper of which nothing was signed.
Getting home I checked their website again, and checked trustpiolt reviews and knew it was too good to be true. For every very detailed negative horror story feedbacks shared, there were 2 to counteract it. I had paid a £100 deposit to hold it, but also anyone at this point too online, even hours later, could still put down a £100 deposit to hold the vehicle which didn’t seem right.
I emailed to get the damage and flags I had in writing confirmed and again it felt but brushed off and not very reassuring. I wanted to come back for a test drive so was there first thing in the morning. This time the warehouse lights were fully on, we could actually get around the vehicle and look as it was previously so packed in you couldn’t see the boot area or get beside the vehicle very well in the light.
There was lots of damage, dents, a huge chunk out a tyre and alloy, car stank of smoke and hadn’t yet been cleaned. There was burnt hole in car seat. And clearly hadn’t been looked after for a 22m old car, all fluids, including break fuilds were low. After turning car on it was asking for service, flat tyre, and after doing a quick computer check on vehicle it was flagging issue with engine pump failure, which at no point was disclosed by Doug. This car was less than 2 years old, only had 1 key, and zero paperwork or service history which also invalidates the 5 years warranty I was told by Doug was still in date, yes in date but invalid as the vehicle hadn’t been serviced… which was due in Dec 2024 or at 10k miles, vehicle was over this.
Trust in Doug deminished very quickly, and in turn the company. Being 8 months heavily pregnant trying to sell me an awful, unroad worthy vehicle. I didn’t have faith that the vehicle would be serviced to standards and all problems resolved after reading the feedback and issues.
So, Thankfully I got my deposit swiftly back from the guy who looked after us on the day we took it for test drive, Alan, and we dodged a bullet. I wasn’t sure if I would have got it back but it was less than 24h and really not happy about the vehicle. Website says 24h so got it back.
They’re still trying to call me now. Please do not proceed without fully checking the whole vechile, every button, window, light, every inch, and taking it for a drive. Highly recommend checking the cars computer system too for faults as if I had bought this, I’d be in a hole with a toddler and new born in the car in a matter of weeks.

Very nice customer service
Look elsewhere
I used zuto and they recommended Fusion Motors to me but please look elsewhere. The after sales is non existent. You'll be constantly chasing them up and then the part will be on order for months. My window wipers don't work properly and the car doesn't hold it's charge properly. It's currently been 5 months and still waiting. Avoid Fusion motors and Zuto!
Zero stars AVOID AT ALL COST
Everyone needs to beware of fusion motors and its employees, Darren completely unprofessional, rude and frankly disrespectful. Treats the customer as if they are stupid, but are they just puppets for the owner Syed who is linked to Rays Garage where they fake the documents. I took them to court and I WON they sold me an unroadworthy car with multiple issues and extremely bad repairs well actually no repairs just unsafe bypasses. I returned the car and they tried to argue because there’s no car it’s not their problem and they couldn’t take a look at it to do an inspection, luckily I had a full inspection complete by Mercedes and under my statutory rights returned for refund 2 and half years arguing it’s. Car was returned to fusion motors they thought they were smart my getting rid of the car and had it crashed. What creditable company goes and does this? One that is getting rid of evidence.
Clearly Syed has learnt nothing from the day in court. Please everyone look at the negative reviews and look at the patterns every time negative they suddenly have short 5star reviews these are fake. They actually don’t have that turnaround to reflect the reviews
Happy to help anyone having issues.

I purchased a car that develop had mechanical problems. I tried to make contact with them which was very difficult. They sold me a car that was in an accident. Please please do not go there!!!! Communication is very poor for a professional business. I am very very very disappointed.
Good cars and more variety of cars
Good cars and more variety of cars . They have offered finnace . Car was MOT and serviced befire i drove the car drom there . Finance was very easy . I came there for finance and they did all in 30 mins . Car was very nice . Great customer service .
Extremely disappointing experience
Extremely disappointing experience. I was promised a 5-day turnaround on a car, which turned into a 3-week ordeal filled with broken promises and poor communication. I had to constantly chase for updates, and each time I was met with vague responses or no real progress. The seller seemed far more interested in pushing numbers and securing payment than actually delivering on their word.
After weeks of delays and being told the car “wasn’t ready,” I was shocked to see it re-advertised without any notice. This not only wasted my time but also showed a complete lack of professionalism and respect for me as a customer.
If you’re looking for transparency, honesty, and good service – look elsewhere. This experience felt like I was being strung along until something more convenient for them came up. Untrustworthy and frustrating from start to finish.
Never using this company again
Where do I start with this company, awful communication! Awful customer care! And selling un-road worthy cars... I bought a ford ranger from here, before we took home they said they would replace the obvious to eye wear and tear on this vehicle.
When we went to pick up, firstly, the car stank of weed and had definitely not been cleaned - this is minor as we could obviously clean it, there was an oil drip on the floor which we questioned, Doug gas lit us into saying they’ve had non stop cars in and out, the car had just been serviced and MOT’d, the vehicle is sound - he is the ‘car expert’ so we trusted him.
We bought and took home to find puddles of oil to be left where ever we parked, the engine light also came on. We took the car to our local garage which Doug said he would pay for the service. Which the garage had found MULITPLE issues with and they said this definitely hadn’t been serviced correctly, if it was even at all serviced, this had been fiddled with and not put back correctly, it had hardly any oil left in and couldn’t hold the oil for long before it leaked out and therefore was actually not fully road safe! One of the tyres were 0.1mm close to be illegal also, even though Doug said he would have 2 tyres replaced before we collected.
We requested a refund which we were told the car would be picked up on the Monday (6days later). We had no contact from Fusion motors at all, so I called MULTIPLE times, to be told I would get a call back MULTIPLE times, I waited hours. When I did finally get the call back, Doug, said if I could bring the car back to the garage I would get a refund straight away! THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. Which I explained, he actually kept butting it and would not let me explain my concerns, and implying because I’m a female that I don’t drive vans he said and I quote “You don’t understand vans, you don’t drive vans, the engine lights comes on all the time and people’s still drive them, you can still drive vans when the engine light comes on, you just don’t understand how they work.” Which was not my concern, my concern was the vehicle does not hold oil. And even though we agreed the car to be picked up on the Monday, he then proceeded to say it might be Wednesday. I then argued, I’ve already spent out a full months tax, and insurance to not have use of the vehicle, I wanted it picked up today as agreed - he also said he would also look into giving me compensation for the fact I’ve spent out on tax, insurance, diesel and the health inspection the garage had done.l (which he said would be paid for anyway!) We have received NOTHING! Not even the service from the garage that he said he would cover! - This promising behaviour is extremely unprofessional!
He sent 2 very incompetent people to come and collect the vehicle - As one of the drivers pulled the ford ranger out of my drive, he caught the vehicle on the wall, knocking half of it down. I phoned these people and explained they’ve knocked the wall down and I asked them to come back - he hung up on me the first time and the second time he said he was coming back. They DID NOT return - there for we was unable assess both damage to the car and the wall together!
We have been to and from with this company with what they will do to fix the issues that we are extremely unhappy with but because there was ‘no damage’ to the vehicle they will not compensate the damage being done.
The customer care towards us has been absolutely disgusting. Firstly implying because I’m female and ‘don’t drive vans so I don’t understand them.’ And then secondly implying that I’ve lied about damage being done to my property.
And to top it off. We have not been compensated for the service that Doug said he would pay for our garage to carry out to check the oil leak.
They currently have this ford up for sale for more than we actually paid for it originally.. avoid avoid avoid!
Absolutely disgusting.
