Failure to fully assess and regulate football index resulting in thousands of people losing large sums which would not have been spent on the platform were it not for endorsement from GC. This could easily have been prevented if they had actually carried out their role and identified it as a ponzi scam with no long term sustainability.

Almost as bad is this the lack of action following the event and admission that they failed to carry out their role and protect customers. A massive fraud carried out with no consequences for those involved or action for victims.

Deposited money into a product (footballindex) whilst licensed by the gambling commission, at the time the GM knew something wasn’t right but allowed it still to continue and allow other users to sign up and deposit. A year or two later £124 million was stolen by the Footballindex owners.
The GM have done absolutely nothing apart from sweep everything under the rug and pass the blame.

Oh and their not even bothered about the new product Kix which has the former people running footballindex at the helm

What do they actually do?
Seems like anyone can set up a gambling firm, take bets knowing full well they never intend to pay out. See the football index SCANDAL

Licenced a product in Football index which went bust owing over 100 million, costing thousands life changing sums of money. A product which ran like a ponzi scheme, these people instead of holding there hands up , have sort to sweep it all under the carpet whilst calling people problem gamblers , and pretending they've done nothing wrong, redress and an apology should be at the forefront of their minds.

Failed with the Football Index scandal on a massive scale! Need to review how they run the company so this doesn't happen in the future.

Caused the loss of £124m by licensing football index then tried to cover up their incompetence then ceo who earns £170k has the cheeked to block people on twitter who are quite rightly angry , government needs to close them down admit mistakes and redress failed customers.

They shouldn't have licensed it. Should have seen the red flags.
Should of acted to prevent more harm when they knew it was wrong and going bust.

They also licensed Footstock and users lost all their money on that too. They licensed it whilst knowing FI was wrong... Same customer base. Similar product.

All these reviews! End of the day they are paid by the Bookmakers. They are fully aware of a scam on going where if you are on gamstop, casinos will still take you . If you loose they keep it( which is fine) but if you win you just get your deposit back ....so these casinos can do this the UKGC have advised IBAS to only look at wins not losses. Thereby giving casinos the green light to not pay wins but keep loses. Also as the UKGC are government run you can't take them to court. They are the most corrupt organization I have come across.

Made contact with these guys do they exist because I'm still awaiting support or do they get backhanders from the sites that are operating unprofessional

They posted a tweet how they're clamping down on illegal gambling and a photo of a tiny little room (with comments turned off of course). Totally oblivious to the fact they're causing this.

They need regulating themselves as they're not fit for purpose . If they didn't exist at least there would be no affordability checks. No one would miss them

Might as well not exist. A complete joke of a company who operate in virtual secrecy and don't help punters at all. Should be called the Anti Gambling Commission.
 
How can they regulate an industry when they can't even do basic things like reply to tweets? They told me they don't reply on social media because their replies are complex LOL, so that's why they ignore everyone.

Bookies get away with breaking the GC rules because they don't get involved in individual cases. The bookies know this and therefore act accordingly. Just look at how BETMGM have acted with their free bets the last few weeks. The UKGC are supposed to regulate these chancers but do nothing. Hundreds of people have been stiffed by them looking at social media but radio silence from the GC.

They act like they're in North Korea giving the bookies absolute power to ask all sorts of personal information. Bookies want wage slips and bank statements, demanding to know who else you bet with and how much you spend. It's neverending.

The most incompetent organisation I've ever come across. They don't "ensure gambling is fair and open" as per their mandated requirements, they help betting companies get consumers private financial information and they don't do anything about the companies using it for commercial purposes. When contacted, if they reply, they just say "we don't comment on individual cases".

Their CEO deletes consumer questions he doesn't like on social media, when you email them to warn them they have licensed what you believe to be a Ponzi scheme, they do nothing (6 months later it collapsed with £130 million). When betting companies confiscate winnings, retarget losers and ban winners they simply ignore. Terrible, just terrible.
