Made an account with the Tote

Made an account with the Tote, wasn't very confident when the first thing i saw was a notice saying my deposits are limited to £1500 and they needed to "check my details are up to date". I wouldn't be depositing £1500 anyway, but having gone through all the source of wealth and money laundering nonsense with William Hill, Betfair, Paddy Power, Skybet, Smarkets and Virginbet and got nowhere except accounts i can't use, i had alarm bells going off.

I enquired about the likelihood of being asked further questions if i didn't get anywhere near the £1500 deposit limit but actually won a bet and just wanted to make a withdrawal. I was quoted a whole raft of terms and conditions that basically said they can demand ANYTHING they want at any time.

If you don't give what they want, they will steal your winnings and just refund your stake. So i closed my account having never deposited a penny. The state of UK online gambling is beyond a joke. No proper laws, it's a shambles. And the gambling commission are the biggest scammers of the lot. Putting a £20 bet on and actually having any confidence you will get your winnings if you actually win has become a full time job which is absolutely ridiculous! Why on earth can't the govt, gambling commission and bookies just get together and set a monthly limit and say "you don't have to go through all the nonsense unless you want to bet more". Leave ordinary punters in peace. Or get customers to sign a disclaimer saying they take full responsibility for their actions? It's easier to throw away £10 million on the stock market than it is to have a £20 bet these days. That can not be right surely? Been betting for 30 years and i haven't had a bet in ages. First World Cup i've not been able to bet on at all. Cancelled Sky, no point watching football i can't even have a bet on it without wasting half the day going to an actual betting shop. Just ban all gambling, may as well. Just ban everything.

As an ex GC governed company I can only…

As an ex GC governed company I can only confirm the negative reviews and horror stories. The commission is full of over paid retired police officers with power issues. I have asked on several occasions for clarity on current GC officers/regulators wages/packages ? Would you believe no reply ? If you are legitimate and want to offer a fair gaming experience they make it nearly impossible to open a new venue and the current waiting times on applications has been scrutinised as far from unacceptable. On the other hand if you are selling gaming equipment on social media/ebay without a license you might get get a letter asking you to stop?. The commission has given licenses to gaming machine scammers , drug dealers and various criminals who have used third parties to front operations. A complete waste of consumers money and unfair on operators and players. Too much talk and not enough action , a shower of overpaid desk jockeys who clearly are not in touch with the real world. We made several reports of suspicious activity ( machine scammer who was granted a license and was/still is laundering money through a fake company) to no avail.

Pitiful…

Have absolutely no interest in helping punters at all. They refuse to get involved in individual disputes and ignore you.an utter waste of time

However they are more than happy to give the bookies power to ask for 100s of bank statements and even ask demand your balances with other bookmakers along with tax and wage slips. When you question it they tell you it's gambling commission regulations

Totally worthless. The bookies must laugh how pathetic they are

Point blank refused to support me as a…

Point blank refused to support me as a customer of one of there registered casino sites. Duelz point blank refuse to pay me out and this joke of a commission who claim to have forced gaming sites to register to protect there customers. In reality every gamming company can withhold your payout and the gambling commission will not help. There cop out is we do not deal with individual complaints yet every customer of these gamming sites is an individual. Effectively the Gamming board has set themselves up to offer 0 protection for every single casino customer, Nice work if you can get it. Our gamming board was world renowned but now like prime minister Truss has become the laughing stock .

Got a copy and paste reply how they…

Waited 20 days and then just got a copy and paste reply how they don't get involved in personal disputes. They couldn't care one bit

Yet they happy to give the bookies ridiculous power to ask to see my personal details. They have asked for bank statements, tax receipts, proof of savings, and source of wealth so far, they even asked why I was lending friends my money!!
When you ask why they want all the information they tell you it's the UKGC regulations

So they don't care about your complaint but they'll help the bookies to nosey in your entire affairs just to place a bet. Why too much hassle. It was easier to get a mortgage

A disgrace

Let’s all face it, the UK Gambling Commission are a disgrace.
They let companies like Playtech and Evolution Gaming take money with scripted manipulated online casino games and do nothing. I mean Playtech were found guilty of money laundering and causing the death of a young man recently, but they still get a i license to operate from the UK Gambling Commission. It’s just plain fraudulent and all about money.
All they do is take license fees of gambling companies and dish out a few low fines.
They're a disgrace of a company who can’t moderate no gambling business with clueless employees who probably have never gambled in their life or know nothing about actually how corrupt the gambling industry really is.
Also they will send letters asking you not to contact them if you keep trying to complain about a gambling company as the evidence is shown below.

You have contacted us several times about your views on Playtech/Evolution.
Sometimes when people contact us, they may have reason to feel frustrated or upset. We do not
think it unreasonable for someone to contact us to explain general concerns or frustrations. But, at
times, this communication can become unreasonable. This might be due to the tone or language used or persistent contact on the same subject.
We will not tolerate any form of behaviour that may be offensive or that makes it difficult for us to
complete our work or help other people.
We wrote to you on 11/08/2022 and asked you not to send us any further information about this
issue. Despite this, I can see that you have contacted us via e-mail on 31/08/2022 and 22/09/2022.
You have also contacted us via telephone on 28/09/2022. This contact continues to consist of your
views on Playtech/Evolution.
We now find that your behaviour is becoming unreasonable. So, we are formally asking you not to
contact us further about this issue.

That is what they sent me as i complained several times about how bad the gambling industry is and how Playtech and Evloution are manipulating games.

I never swore or said anything nasty in letters to them, all i did was show my frustration and yet the gambling commission send letters asking you not to contact them no more.
It’s a disgrace and shows how bad the gambling commission really are.
Please everyone try and report them.
Thx

Nobody is monitoring the gaming…

Nobody is monitoring the gaming commission. They are just as crooked as the gambling organisations they are meant to monitor.

Notice as with all corrupt businesses they never respond to reviews. Doing so would admit their guilt.

The Gambling Commission!!!!!!!!!!

The Gambling Commission!!!!!!!!!!
It’s a really straight forward review,
The Gambling Commission (whoever they think they are?) have given the rights to third rate casinos not even in the UK, to carry out personal attacks on innocent peoples lives! It’s nothing to do with enhanced due diligence when the questions aren’t even about money! And as they say when the fun stops stop! Well not being paid out what I’m owed has stopped the fun!!! Their website is an absolute abortion, you can’t even reply to there feeble excuses because a reply goes nowhere! When are the innocent victims of these useless regulation setters going to get a petition up together to rid society of a useless governing body???? The Gambling Commission need to be investigated for fraudulent activities with online casinos. If anyone agrees with this then please press on the useful button, thanks for reading my review.

I understand there’s a new guy in charge? Andrew Rhodes, we’ll let’s hope he can do the right thing and sort this poorly run company out! 🤞

Check out on the Gambling Commission website how they are funded!
They are funded by the casinos that they license!!!!! Their words not mine, go on check it out for yourselves, this is why casinos can hold you to ransom and keep your money because the Gambling Commission are in bed with them!! This has to stop now!!!
