Google reviews absolutely speak for themselves…

Google reviews absolutely speak for themselves & paint an incredibly accurate picture of the experience you'd have for yourself if you use this awful joke of a company! Spent £64 on a pre-order for Silent Hill for a gift for somebody, arrived just in time but the outer postage parcel bag was damaged & looked like it was stepped on. Also it rattled, so I opened it up and the case was completely shattered with bits of sharp plastic rattling around with a loose disk inside that came unlodged from the clips. Contacted GAME through the webchat as they never respond to emails and don't even have a contact number! Spoke to 2 really rude customer advisors who hung up the chat on me each time! Was offered a measly £10 partial refund or was told to return and a replacement would be sent out (not priority but standard delivery which is around 5 days) once they recieved the damaged item back. Even though this was a pre - order and no fault of mine! Managed to get £20 partial refund in the end and bought a replacement case for the disk. Absolutely appalling service though and take zero accountability for their actions & faults! They use evri couriers too so probably explains why my expensive & fragile parcel looked like it had been used as a football. So disappointed and won't be using again.

UPDATE: EVEN MORE SHOCKING!!

Having originally recieved the new Silent Hill game (damaged and without the steelbook having paid £65) ... and having got an email from GAME on 11th October from them promising separate delivery of said missing steelbook...today (28th Oct) I've chased it up as still not recieved it and been told that I'll no longer be getting one whatsoever as they are out of stock and wont be back in stock ever again! Joke of a company, breaching the consumers rights act and think offering a "£5 goodwill voucher" is sufficient? AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Pointless pre-order

Pre-ordered Test Drive Solar Crown months ago at £79.99. They took the money and now over a week after launch still not dispatched . 2 emails to customer service have gone un-answered for 8 days. Just dreadful. Now 3 weeks and Game are ignoring a PayPal claim for the money they took. All emails ignored.

the end is nigh

just went into store to exchange some new games for store credit I don't want anymore only to find out that game don't take second hand games/consoles anymore, I been taking them there for years and buying second hand games also so I was shocked and very disappointed in game. I doubt I will go in again as I find new games are cheaper online. the beginning of the end of a good store I think. I did as game asked me on here and got a ticket at Submit a

it made no difference, CeX give me way more money then trading in, in game ever did.

Great service

Really helpful staff.

Given options for rewards and insurance in a non pushy way.

Answered any questions I had. Came away happy with new Switch and a couple of games.

I ordered a headset for £40 plus £10…

I ordered a headset for £40 plus £10 shipping for it to arrive and it turn out to be a second hand headset or something as the charger for it was missing the box was all beaten up and the power button was already broken with scratches over it so I can’t even turn it on to connect it I will be going to my local game store and making a complaint and ask for a refund

We use GAME for all our gaming and electrical goods, recently purchased phones and Apple Watch , nothing but brilliant service and value for money, we will continue to use and recommend them

Why promote what you don't have

Popped into game in Basingstoke and picked up "gang beasts" for the switch which was reduced, lots of copies on the shelves. It was a treat for my 3 kids who were with me.
Went to the counter to be told by a rude young man that they had no copies in stock. He said he could order it but it would take a week and be at the original price not the reduced one. Cue kids crying. I suggested they should take the boxes off the shelf if they don't have it only for him to tell me they still wanted it out to promote the deal ?!?
Went online on the bus home and got it for less anyway but what a disappointing experience.

Faulty PS5

Ordered a PS5 Online, happened to receive it when i wanted to receive it. However, it all turned out to be faulty console with a disc hard drive not working whatsoever. Not what i was expecting from GAME whatsoever, pretty disappointing really. Sent it back for refund asap.
