GM, SERVICE TECHS INADEQUATE WORK

GM - RYAN KOENIG - GANDER RV OF COLDWATER; CAMPING WORLD OF COLDWATER, ALONG WITH SERVICE TECHNICIANS

REALLY WISH I WOULD HAVE SEEN THESE REVIEWS BEFORE WE PURCHASED OUR CAMPER 12/5/21. IN THE TIME WE HAVE OWNED IT, WE HAVE MAYBE CAMPED IN IT A TOTAL OF 2 MONTHS OR EVEN HAD IT AT OUR HOUSE FOR 2 MONTHS. FROM THE GET GO I SHOULD HAVE FILED A LEMON LAW AND GOT ATTORNEYS INVOLVED. THE AMOUNT OF THINGS THAT HAVE GONE WRONG ARE ENDLESS AND PROBABLY WON'T HAVE ENOUGH SPACE FOR MY REVIEW. I CAN TELL YOU THAT MOST RECENTLY THEY HAD MY CAMPER 8 MONTHS, WE HAD TO BRING IT HOME 2X BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE ROOM ON THEIR LOT; WE GOT IT BACK UNREPAIRED - WHEN IT WAS FINALLY WARM ENOUGH TO GO THRU EVERYTHING WE HAD TO DRIVE BACK UP THERE FOR REPAIRS, SIT THERE FOR 8 HOURS 2 DIFFERENT TIMES AND 1 TIME LEFT IT AND CAME BACK. THE SERVICE TECHS WERE SMOKING WEED IN THE AREA OF THE SERVICE. THERE ARE STILL THINGS WRONG AND NOT REPAIRED AFTER THEY REC'D $20K - SHOTTY WORK; NEEDLESS TO SAY WE GOT IT BACK 1 MONTH AGO, FINALLY ABLE TO LOOK THRU IT TODAY TO PACK WHEEL BEARINGS FOR A TRIP AND LOW AND BEHOLD - OUR ELECTRIC BRAKES ARE DISCONNECTED AND HANGING. I CALLED TO TALK TO THE GM BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THE SVC MGR & ADVISOR DON'T HAVE ANY SAY IN FIXING SOMETHING. HE WAS GIVEN THE MESSAGE AND HE STATED, AND I QUOTE, "IM NOT THE SERVICE MANAGER SO I AM NOT TOO CONCERNED ABOUT IT"; WHEN I CALLED BACK I WAS TOLD BY MULTIPLE PPL ABOUT THIS INFORMATION. NEEDLESS TO SAY RYAN KOENIG, GM, I HAVE INDEED ESCALATED THIS HIGHER THAN YOU PROBABLY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE AND I WILL KEEP GOING UNTIL YOU CORRECT IT. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOR THE RECORD RYAN, IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO US ON OUR TRIP THRU THE MOUNTAINS AND IT IS FOUND THAT IS HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE REPAIRS YOUR SERVICE TECHS MISSED BC OF THE CRAPPY QC YOU HAVE - BELIEVE ME - LAWSUITS WILL BE COMING, WHEN YOU COULD HAVE JUST FIXED IT PROPERLY AND HAD THE PROPER QC OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS THE MONEY THAT GOES INTO YOUR POCKET AND DIDN'T CONSIDER ACTIONS YOU CAUSE BY BEING SUCH A POOR GENERAL MANAGER! THE RESULTS OF YOU HAVING BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BETTER SERVICE TECHNICIANS COULD REALLY HAVE RESOLVED THE NEED FOR THIS GOOGLE REVIEW, SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS, AND ATTORNEY CONTACTS.

new Class C Thor motor…

We purchased a new Class C Thor motor home in September fromGander Outdoors in Jacksonville Arkansas. After we purchased our new motor home we drove it 32 miles to our home and tried out the slide, but it would not retract. Called Ganders RV where we had purchased it and was told to bring it back in. They checked it out and told us one of the six motors on the slide out was not working and they would contact warranty. While we were waiting to hear back from warranty some one cut the catalytic converter off. They said we would have to have our insurance pay for this. We waited almost 7 months for the converter went to pick it up yesterday and was told we had to pay 500 deductible for the warranty work and 500 deductible for the catalytic converter. We ask them about our Good Sam warranty and was told they would not cover it. Got home checked my Good Sam Policy and it would cover it so I called them and they said because we did not call them before the repairs were done they were not responsible. Do not buy from Gander and do not let them talk you into buying extended warranty from Good Sam both are bad

This is for Gander in Lowell

This is for Gander in Lowell, Arkansas. If there was an option to give less than 1 star I would. This place has the WORST communication and time management. I never received a callback after following up several times during the week. They decided to attempt delivery at wrong address and no communication to have someone present. Worst experience I've had and will NEVER recommend anybody to go through this hell. Drive the extra 3 hrs for decent service.

STAY AWAY

Thanks for taking a moment to review this and hopefully get some assistance.

On April 29th I brought my RV in for service at the Bartow location in Florida. Jessica who handled my original call is awesome and has been great through this process and she assured me they can complete the paper work and contacts in regards to my warranty. which is why I originally agreed to bring it to this location. I originally brought the RV in to repair my stairs that were not closing properly. After several calls with no returns for three weeks I went back and found that the service had not been completed. To this date of 7/30/2022 the service requested has not been done and as I walked out to pickup my RV Jessica along side she to saw the stairs were open and still not working properly, though I have paid them nearly 900$ in advance to repair.

While fielding the excuses I also purchased a new hitch and paid for it in advance along with 2 hours of labor at 150$ per hour totalling approx 600$. After many excuses for not getting it in, they finally installed the new hitch. The new hitch was the wrong style and not even a rear hitch, the technician told them it was wrong and yet they had him install it. after waiting 3 more weeks I told them I needed my RV to leave on vacation, they said fine take it return it when you come back and we will put the right hitch on, the stairs were still not working. Since I cant travel with stairs out they not said I needed two news batteries to install at 600$ and it would work. Yes I had to pay in advance which they charge me twice for on my AMEX and I am still waiting fr the correction. The stairs still did not work and we put a tie on them so they would not open.

Upon my return I again left the RV and they still could not get them working or find out what was wrong. understand When I was travelling the Camping world in GA looked at it said it was the motor, but I would need to wait a week to get it installed they were very busy. I did not have the time since I was travelling. I told this to Camping World Bartow. I have already replaced the door switch and battery and paid them for this service and now they claim the motor doesn't work because the extra power in the new batteries damaged it so it is a new repair I need to pay for? Huh?

Needless to say the Management at this franchise is a joke, they lie and blame each other for the errors and refuse to find solutions or help me the customers. Because I did business understand the quality of your name, I am out dollars, have stairs that don't work, and excuses regarding the wrong hitch and cant get a refund. For over three months I have dealt with this incompetent group and need to turn to you for help. I did not include the radio repair that they could not do and wnt down the road to you competitor and had it fixed the same day a cost of 700$ they missed out on because of the lack of competence.

I only gave a 1 since there is no zero

I only gave a 1 since there is no zero. BUYER BEWARE. After the sale they could care less about you! 6 weeks ago I bought a 2022 BRAND NEW RV for over $100,000. The generator wouldn't start, and a few other items needed addressed. I had it 3 days and they picked it up...I call week after week after week....6 weeks now have passed, and my 2nd payment is due in 2 weeks and I have no idea when I am getting this damn thing back! The manager NEVER returns your call, called the corporate office last week....still waiting for a response. Then I was told the warranty may have expired!! WHAT?????? BUYER REMORSE!!! Hey Marcus Lemonis....what about that "if you're not happy, we're not happy" How about making my payments since YOU have my vehicle....better yet, give me my money back and I will GLADLY take my business somewhere else....YOU GUYS SUCK! FYI....I missed out on 2 family camping trips so far....how would YOU feel if you were treated this way Marcus?!?!?!?
UPDATE: 2 more weeks have passed and they told me they would be delivering my RV on Tuesday May 31, no show, no call. Told Wednesday June 1st....no call, no show. Was told Friday June 3rd...called at 5:30 pm said they couldn't make it and would deliver Saturday June 4th....THEY ACTUALLY SHOWED UP.....THE VEHICLE WAS FILTHY INSIDE AND OUT, SAW DUST ALL OVER THE INSIDE, HOLES DRILLED INSIDE OF KITCHEN CABINET AND THE MATTRESS WAS MISSING ON THE BED!!!!!!!!!! I refused the delivery! DOES ANYONE AT GANDER CARE OR TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR WORK??? MARCUS LEMONIS....DO YOU GIVE A S@$%??? GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buyers beware!

We saw a second hand RV advertised at Gander RV & Outdoors in Baxter, Mn. As they are 500 miles away from us, we pondered it for a couple of weeks, and then reached out. We received a virtual tour, although in retrospect, not a truthful one. We then decided to offer them $2000 less as that's what all the salesman spontaneously offered us when we periodically stopped by RV dealerships. The sales person said would talk to her manager and see what she could do. She then came back to us about an hour later to say that "someone had made a mistake in the posting price" and it was actually a few thousand dollars higher. We were shocked. We went online again to look at it, and realized the dealership had increased the posting price by a few thousand. We negotiated back to the original price, then they told us that there was a $495 prep fee, we were expected to buy two batteries for $399 and there was a document fee for $125. Paul, the manager told us many times "Take it or leave it". By this time we had our emotions involved and we decided to take it.
My partner and I took two days off, arranged supports for our children, borrowed a heavier truck, and drove down experiencing gas and hotel costs. When we went to pick up the RV we discovered that the seals in one of the large slides were torn. Additionally, considering we paid $495 for a prep fee, the fridge was full of mold, and the kitchen sink and bathroom were filthy. We decided we could clean the dirt at home but the seal would need to be fixed. Paul told us that it would cost $1,500 and we could pick it up in two weeks. He absolutely would not drop the price by $1500 instead; once again telling us "Take it or leave it" a number of times. When we discovered there was only one battery, not the two we were told we had to purchase from them, they returned less than 1/2 the price, as they informed is that it costs more to buy one battery than two. We were not feeling good. If we had lived within four hours driving distance, we would have driven away from the deal. However the thought starting the process again, of making a second trip was too much, so we decided to take it, and be out of there as soon as possible.
We opened the RV this spring to start fixing, cleaning and loading it up only to discover that the seal on the second slide leaks as well. Finding the second slide leak, was too much. Buying an RV is a non-essential purchase. One should leave it with a feeling of hope and excitement. Unfortunately it was not a feeling we experienced at time of our purchase and it is not a feeling we are experiencing as we enter the camping season. Buyers beware!

Gander RV service is the absolute…

Gander RV service is the absolute worst!! I would give their service department a 0
We have had nothing but problems since buying our brand new RV from a leaking window to a bad TV. Had to go through months of dealing with them to get these “warranty issues resolved”. No one ever returns your phone call and each time I call to speak to someone, anyone for that matter, I get “ they are extremely busy”. They have no regard for their customers they are only nice when trying to sell to you. All I can say is buyer beware!!! You better hope that you will never need service because I assure you you will get nothing but the run around from them. My concerns always fell on deaf ears. I will never ever deal with gander RV again. Our experience has been nothing but a headache with the service department!!! I can’t stress enough how BAD they have been to deal with!!!

3 stars for rv/boat/fishing supplies. Loss of 2 stars for no more firearms and ammo selection. Employees are nice but not many of them because they are mainly at the registers. I guess they figure the rv sales will replace the loss of the gunpowder sportsman spending money and don't want the extra responsibility either. Just lazy business. Store seems more closed than open now. I only visit when I am passing by to see how downhill they are going. Sorry Ole Gander is gone. The new Gander...just take a gander and move on!

They wanted me to take a $45,000…

They wanted me to take a $45,000 loss!!! I bought an Airstream, for $125,000, from them in July. I put down $45,000. I found out I was allergic to the wool insulation. I wanted to trade it in for something much cheaper, and found a 5th wheel for $85,000. The promised me a good deal. Then, when they did the financing they wanted me to have a $85,000 loan and pay $11,000 deposit. So I would have been looking at a $55,000 loss. I walked out! I don't recommend them!

Stay away from Gander RV in Coxsackie…

Stay away from Gander RV in Coxsackie New York!!!We just Bought a brand new 2021 fifth wheel. Brought it home, then we took it to a nearby campground to test everything out. Refrigerator broke! cable hookup broke! There is a water leak coming from slide or window. Missing screws and cracked fender. Bathroom sink there’s a tsunami of water leaking from that. One entire wall is crooked. Tv mounted crooked. Someone cleaned the screen on the tv with a chemical very cloudy and streaky. Outside light not working. Those are just a few of a list of problems.We were told the Refrigerator has to go through warranty and has to be ordered. We have been informed they have no idea when this will come in. We are suppose to have an appointment in the spring.These Issues better get fixed or it will ruin our camping season come spring. Our fall season was ruined. So ya, All problems were supposed to be fixed. We traveled back down ..hours of our time and gas wasted. Even with an appointment we waited hours to get the camper back. Only one issue the outside light was fixed. Oh, and Not to mention we have been trying to get in touch with financing make sure you check and read everything that you are signing. We are still waiting to hear on an answer on that weeks later. It’s very sad that these very expensive rigs are sold like this and worse they don’t have companies and service to back them up. We have called multiple times made time consuming trips and it is so sad to say we feel all that we encountered are useless and not helpful! Nothing has really been resolved. … Oh wait but they are bombing our phones to get the title for our rv we traded in. Unlike them we were and are on top of it. The day they informed us they couldn’t obtain it themselves it was taken care of. Unfortunately it’s just a waiting game on the mail. Not our fault. Mail is slow these days. Oh well funny how things happen. I have never wrote a complaint about a company but people please,Stay away! It’s really unfortunate I would of loved to leave a nice review. Being a new outlet we wanted to give them the business. Being honest and nice doesn’t get you far these days. If they ever make things right I’ll be back on to let you know but right now we are very disappointed very!!!!!! These rv aren’t cheap. Loans are long. It’s going to make for a very long disappointing and depressing years to come. So sad…..:(

For 3 Days Of Suffering.

For 3 Days my Air conditioning has been broken, Let me tell you My Great Dane was not happy
with me, On day 1 Early in the am I look online, I see Gander Rv And Outdoors, I never bought from
Gander but seen lots of adds for your company and Rv stuff on sale, I looked , Seen a wonderful
Dometic Brisk II A/C on sale, says in stock in the Fort Myers FL area, I purchased it quickly at Aprox
10:30 Am , Being patient i waited until after They're lunch time i called after 1:00 pm, I Called the parts
dept and asked when i could pick it up, They said they were waiting on paperwork from Gander , Ok i
waited untill 3:30 Pm , Called, Still no paperwork ,"they have 24 hours to fill the order" Ok So We wait,
And My Wife The Great Dane and myself Sleep In The Car For The Air Conditioning In Humid Hot
Florida, Day 2 , I call In the Am Aprox 9:30 Am , I'm told Air conditioner is not in stock Order Has been
Canceled! , I call Gander , Phone Rep Tells me Limited Supply in stock, I ordered Another Air
conditioner, Guess What ? Order Canceled 2 hours later. I call the Gander Rep, Ask for a Supervisor,
Tell Her my problem, she says it's fixed , wait on a confirmation E-mail, I waited untill just before the
store closing , I'm Told Not in Stock Order Canceled, , It took all day to find out not in stock store is
now closed, Another Night in car , With the Dog, Wife is ready to Leave, And myself Sleeping in the
Car, Next morning, Day 3, I call Gander First thing in the Morning ;Rep Says " Not In Stock In Fort
Myers," But There Is an A/C 2 Hours Drive Away", So After3 days of Bull **** , I went to Rv One
Super store 7 miles Away, I Paid 100 bucks more, For the same A/C. ( Why Did I listen To People
Who Didn't Care) It was Just a Job to them, It Was Very Disappointing to us, We Are Very Unhappy
with Gander / Campers World and Any other company affiliated with Gander, The Absolute Worst
Time We Ever Experienced With a company in our lives, And that is a long time as we are elderly,

Screw Gander

Screw Gander. Back when it was Gander “Mountain”, they tailored to and supported actual sportsman, the ones that actually spend money on license fees that support wildlife conservation. Now that it’s Gander “Outdoors”, they have removed all the hunting products, TO INCLUDE NO MORE SALES OF FIREARMS OR AMMO, so they can make space for kayaks and Screwother libtard crap to support the new LGBTQ-whatever agenda that is like a disease spreading across America. I will never spend another dime there.

Tried to order a Venture 5 sided screen…

Tried to order a Venture 5 sided screen tent two times. Order was cancelled by them the first time. The second time my credit cad was charged, customer service told me the order has been placed. No email confirmation and now the credit cad charge has dissaoeared and no correspondence from Gander. Their online order system is a joke. I give up and will order from Amazon.

Service and sales

Gander would not show me trailers I was interested in this past June. So I bought one from Wilder RV a great sales company.
I called for a part for a sway bar hitch I bought and paid to install, they promised a call back no call it all for 3 weeks. Terrible. I would not even give them 1 star. They do not care about customer service or sales. Never got there. I have had years of bad service. They gave even billed me for work they did not do. They did have to redo the work as they admitted they did not do it.
When you call you will get lower management and no call backs.

Horrible!

So, let me get this straight. You place an order and they take the money out of your account and then take 10 business days to ship???? WTH? It has been 10 days and they still have not shipped my order??? Had I known this, I would have not ordered from them. Has to be the worst online shopping experience ever! Avoid at all costs!

We just left Gander Outdoors Wichita Ks…

We just left Gander Outdoors Wichita Ks & the service dept Mgr TJ Cody assisted us with our issue. He listened to our problem & came out to our unit to looked at our INCOMMAND module. He went back inside to get necessary tools then came back out & hands on fixed our problem. He also had Matt & another tech repair the underbelly. They did a great job!! Kudos!! In my opinion this is excellent customer service above & beyond the scope of upper management. We had a great visit. He was beyond helpful & Really a great guy!! Kudos!!

Don’t waste your time

Don’t waste your time! Orders take forever to ship and customer service doesn’t care! Called 2 weeks after ordering planning to cancel and service member told me it would be shipped and arrive in time for my vacation. Nope! It was not shipped for another 8 days on turtle speed shipping with an arrival date the day after I leave for vacation! Had to call and cancel as they refused to expedite it. Now I have to wait for them to receive it before I can be issued a refund even though it never made it out of California wheee it was shipped from! Literally the worst experience ever with a store!

I ordered an outboard motor and…

I ordered an outboard motor and realized it was the wrong size. I quickly tried to cancel my order but you couldn’t cancel online. I quickly called customer service to find out I have to wait until the order gets to them before I cancel. Sure, that’s after my credit card was charged!!! I called them back when my credit card was charged and the order was supposedly cancelled. It’s been over 2 weeks and still no credit on my credit card. Make sure you order what you need, otherwise you may end up with interest charges on your credit card for a purchase you never received.
