Horrendous customer service.

Purchased a smoker on a Thursday for next day (Friday) delivery, this is an item we needed urgently. I spoke to their customer service the day prior to placing the order to confirm that I would receive the item the next day. This was confirmed. "Have it tomorrow" for orders placed prior to 1pm was very clearly stated on their website when I placed the order.

Not only was the item not delivered the next day- It was not dispatched until the next day, and sent with three (business) day delivery service meaning it will be nearly a week before we receive the item. Every excuse made, including the fact that I should have accounted for transport delays between Christmas and New Years. We have received all other orders from all other vendors.

This company is in violation of the consumers act for false advertising, and their staff are severely incompetent.

Ordered the wok burner. Great product, quick delivery, recommended.

Great service all round. Spoke to Owen from customer service prior to placing my order as I had a few questions. He was helpful. Ordered and my product was delivered the following day. Great quality product (rattan screening). Wouldn’t hesitate to use again!

Brought Callow small stainless steel smoker which had several things wrong with it :-
Lid would not lay flat, it was buckled ! Had to try and bend it back, worked slightly but not perfect.
The two handles that hold the lid firmly in place, didn’t, I had to retake the handles off and bend them in the vice to get them to work properly.
I should have returned it, but because of the price (you get what you pay for) I couldn’t be bothered with all the stress and hassle as the item is quite large.
The funny thing is Garden Gift Shop sent an email to ask for a review, which I completed and sent off several weeks ago. I just checked and it has not been put up on their website, all the reviews showing are all 5 stars ones. Just shows the type of company you are dealing with can’t show the bad reviews as well as the good ones. Probably my decision was right to not return as I image the returns process would be just as bad !
Would I use them again ? NO.

The website provided a clear statement of a delivery date (within 4 days), together with a "count-down" of the hours left for ordering in order to receive this delivery date. Only after the delivery date had passed, and I emailed the company, was I told that the delivery date was known by them to be around a week later. This behaviour encourages buyers to place an order on an expectation of an early delivery date, which appears to be known by the company to be false. I would rather buy elsewhere.

Very happy with my new fire pit. Received within a few working days. Had a bit of trouble trying to find courier tracking but on contacting the company was directed to the tracking and was delivered that day. Lovely product and just finished off my garden. Thank you Garden Gift Shop 🙂

Ordered a pizza oven. The photo looks great, on a lovely stand with space for logs. Took weeks to arrive, with minimal communication from the company. When it finally arrived, in 6 pieces (obviously I knew it needed assembled), there is NO stand. One tube of silicone to assemble and no insulation board, although there was an empty box for one in the pallet?! poor quality, poor communication, extortionate price for what is essentially 6 pieces of concrete and a chimney.

Bought the Callow Steel Oven Tool set for £99 for the four tools.... great value compared to others and excellent quality it seems (not used yet). Arrived within a couple of days.

Requested a stock alert for a fire pit,got the email and ordered received my item the very next day excellent service would recommend this company.

Total indifference to my complaint about my Item I had ordered.was told to ring the delivery company myself.
That’s one Company that will not be used again

Absolutely brilliant - VERY swift response, allowing me to collect from the store within an hour of speaking to them. Threw in a few little bonus items which was massively appreciated! Brilliant service - couldn't ask for more!

Ordered a BBQ smoker which were virtually out of stock elsewhere. Came the next day with no extra for delivery. Extremely satisfied with both the product and the service. Enjoyed a lovely BBQ thanks to Garden Gift Shop.

Ordered a hammock and stand. Received confirmation of dispatch on day of order. Contacted them after 1 week when it did not arrive. It took them another week to inform me they were not able to deliver because of supplier issues. They offered no further information or alternatives.

Don't expect pro-active communication from this vendor. Disappointing experience.

Great service, from friendly, helpful and professional people.
Although an internet company, I asked them If I could visit their premises to see a particular product they were selling and they were more than happy for me to do so, being under no obligation to buy it or not. It was a fairly large heavy item, but upon my arrival it had been already been brought in from the warehouse to the office, where they opened the box for me to take a look. I decided to buy it and they then helped me load it into my car.

I couldn't have asked for more and would highly recommend Garden Gift Shop to anyone.

I ordered my mower from the garden gift shop and it arrived the next day. Not being technically minded I was worried when the mower did not start, I called the number provided (expecting to get a call centre ) and spoke to a lady that talked me through the set up process . Mower started, grass cut and I am one very pleased chap. Thank you for your help.

Bought an item off Amazon from this company. Had it for a while and very happy with it. Needed some replacement parts, due to continuous and hard use, for it so contacted the company directly.
It was a pure pleasure dealing with them and received the items the NEXT day at a very reasonable price!!

I would give the product, as a 'smoker' 2 stars. I would but I can't. Recently bought a Tepro Milwaukee Smoker from Gardengiftshop.co.uk. Pallet delivery was good though the item had been placed on it upside down! As it weighs some 13+stone and all the parts are placed within the main body of the smoker it was not very helpful when attempting to unpack it. That said it was relatively easy to assemble, though be warned, some assistance is required to hold parts in place and do up countless nuts and bolts, this thing is heavy. Oh and have a tube of high heat silicone sealant on hand to ensure good seals, this is at your own expense of course, around £8. Once assembled its a solid bit of kit and does look impressive on the patio. It does need to be seasoned prior to first use so allocate around 3 hours to do that and have around 1kg of lump wood for the firebox and 4kg for the main body of the unit just for the seasoning. Once done, you can smoke! Well you could if the door of the smoker fitted flush and tight! Mine didn't! Smoke and heat was pouring out between the body of the unit and the door which defeats the object of it being a smoker! Be prepared to spend another £25 on a roll of self adhesive Nomax BBQ Oven Door Seal to reduce that issue. Move on to the firebox and another issue arises! The round air vent appears to have been placed to low down on the end wall? When you fill the firebox with the recommended 2kg of lump wood, a good amount of it tends to fall in front of the air vent which then blocks air flow creating an astonishing amount of white 'dirty smoke' which taints any food you are trying to smoke/cook. So put less lump wood on I hear you say and I agree but then what is the point of having a very large smoker that you need to be adding very small amounts of wood/charcoal to every few minutes? All that does, is make it impossible, to maintain a constant temperature to smoke with! I've fitted a modified air vent of my own design in an attempt to resolve the issue but if you leave it as it is then the only way to stop the 'dirty smoke' is to open the firebox a tad so everything burns clean but you will use a whole lot more of that expensive apple wood or whatever fuel you choose to use. I've also contacted both the seller and supplier asking for some technical advice but to date have only had a reply from Tepro with a ticket number indicating they have received my request! Gardengiftshop were cc'd but have yet to respond. In conclusion, it is an impressive looking item and I am trying very hard to make this sucker work as a smoker but had I been able to read a full review of its cooking capabilities I don't think I would have shelled out this kind of money on what appears to be a failed design! Well as far as a smoker goes anyway. And its a little difficult to return the thing once its been used! And you have to use it to find its faults? Or is it Gardengiftshop? Order # 9920 - 17/07/2018 Update to the above. Tepro got back to me and told me 'its 'nothing to do with us, contact the seller' The seller has never replied to any of my contacts! Superb online store with pretty low prices. Bought a high quality charcoal BBQ smoker grill which (including shipping), it arrived in less than a 4 days. -1 star because we had some minor problems with the wire transfer
