Gillboys is a lovely company to buy from. It is very personal. But more importantly the product is wonderful. The wax goes on very smoothly - a little goes a long way - and polishes up beautifully.

We have been using a different wax for a long time and thought we would try Gilboys, i have to say the glow it has given the furniture is fabulous, will be purchasing a bigger pot soon. Simon is great to deal with as well. Staff are all so helpful

I have some units made by a friend of mine that are not varnished so to protect the wood I use Gilboys which not only gives an excellent finish but also brings out the natural grain in the wood which looks so lovely!!! I therefore highly recommend Gilboys pure gold for this and won’t use anything else - many thanks!!!!

This product is my Go To finish on the furniture i restore in my YouTube videos. Its made from the highest quality ingredients, is so easy to use and gives a beautiful yet hardwearing finish that brings out the natural beauty of the wood. Its also very reasonably priced considering its quality and the little you need to use for amazing results. I always get 100's of comments about the beautiful finish of the pieces i restore which is in no small part to Gilboys Products.

Hard Wax Oil
I wanted to refinish some pine chairs as the varnish/stain had failed. They looked dirty and felt sticky. After watching a couple of your videos on YouTube I ordered the Hard Wax Oil. It was delivered the next day, contained a thank you note, and some seeds - how lovely! The oil smells amazing and has brought the chairs up lovely. Great product, fabulous customer service and very informative videos. Thank you x

Wax and Oil
I am SO happy with the products I bought from Gilboys. Finally getting to those projects I have been procrastinating on for years. My mahogany table that had a terrible, too red stain on it is now SO GORGEOUS! Also, my Koa wood stools are better than ever. Thank you so much!

We recently bought Gilboys beeswax polish. The UV filters were particularly interesting to us, as we are using it to wax doors that are exposed to strong sunlight. Time will tell how effective it is. Having used the wax, the doors look great. We found the company from an Internet search and, while the product is more expensive than more well known beeswax polishes on the market, we liked the environmentally conscious philosophy behind this company. They even have a personal relationship with the beekeepers! The wax arrived very promptly, beautifully packaged. We also bought a jar of honey advertised on their website but we have not tried that yet.
The company gives a truly personal service.

Bought the oil and starter kit for a few projects for the summer. The first of which was a desk rescued from a skip. After a little elbow grease and some repairs I am so pleased with how it’s turned out. The Gilboys products are a dream to use and the finish to the wood top using rose gold wax is just lovely. I can’t wait to get on with the other bits now as they will also be a dream to work on. I also loved the packaging and the hand written note. The YouTube channel and info on the website has been incredibly helpful and I was not daunted by this project at all. I would highly recommend Gilboys products. What a fabulous find. Unfortunately I forgot the before photo, but desk was a very sorry state!

Great company and a great product.
Initially, I came across the video. This led me to contacting the company.
Simon was great, giving sound advice. He seems to have a wealth of knowledge and experience.
I bought the recommended clear beeswax polish.
I was attempting to rejuvenate a mid century wardrobe. However, I felt a bit apprehensive about tackling it.
I decided to practise on an old chair first. The product was a lot easier to use than I expected and I am really pleased with the results. I haven't tackled the wardrobe yet but feel a bit more confident doing it, following Simon's advice and using this product.
The package arrived quickly and beautifully presented. Including a packet of Sunflower seeds and a helpful information booklet.

Lovely product and great service from a really nice company, thank you.

I am so pleased with the Gilboy's leather balsam. I used it on 2 leather chairs belonging to a friend who is staying with me temporarily and she noticed the difference straight away. It goes on very easily, smells pleasant and makes the leather feel so soft. Thank you

Brilliant products.

Purchased hard wax oil and rose polish, but only used the oil on a piece of Stag bedroom furniture. I I inherited my parents Stag bedroom furniture set (a wedding gift to them in 1962), but wanted to swap dressing table for a chest of drawers. Sourced secondhand, but it had been refinished a nasty dull brown colour. I am so pleased with the result - a perfect match to the others - love your instructional videos - gave me the confidence to have a go - can see how it could become addictive. Just need to repolish the hardware now.

Second time purchasing Gilboys hard wax oil as I tested it out on some solid oak shelves and was delighted by the results. I'm now oiling oak doors and some mid-century tables that I am refurbishing (also thanks to watching the Gilboys tutorials on Youtube). I needed something of quality that is also foolproof to apply as I have no prior experience. Service was great too - quick and efficient. Highly recommend the product and company.

Have used to finish a Ercol table and chairs I refurbished after watching man in this company showing how to do it.
He made such a beautiful job of it I thought the wax must be good.
It is wonderful stuff.
I bought more for other projects.

Excellent product love the smell. Bought it for our very large brown L-shaped leather sofa. Too unwell and busy to use it on a large area yet. Results so far are very encouraging found it vastly improved the quality of the leather and disguised scratches and marks left by a lively naughty kitten.
