I ordered some merino wool underwear for a long hiking trip I'm doing. The packaging states that if the seal is broken that you can't return the items. How are you supposed to know if they fit? What a swizz
So now I have 2 pairs of expensive underwear that I can't return - MAKE SURE you absolutely know that they will fit before you buy

We have been buying clothing from and been fans of Howies for 15+ years with every item still going strong. Our latest purchases are also fantastic quality and I’m sure they’ll also last a long time. Their widespread use of organic cotton and non-mulesed Merino wool is very important to us. We try our best to make conscious, lower impact and sustainable purchases from great businesses. Howies certainly fits the bill. The efforts they make with their eco packaging is also great to see and we’re looking forward to making our next order with Howies.

I ordered a Holyhead jacket which needed to be returned as it was faulty. When I emailed customer services they responded super quick with return label. I wanted to exchange the jacket for another one.. the new one arrived 2 days later. I am so happy with the new jacket perfect sizing and love the style and impressed by quality. It is first time I
have purchased anything from Howies and I will definitely be returning to them in the future! Thank you for a great product and efficient customer service.

I have been a Howies customer for too many years to mention. Their products have been great. A recent return, sizing too big, was greeted with the usual courtesy, immediate help and prompt replacement.

Been a customer for years. Always excellent product and great customer service. Recently purchased the new selvedge denim jeans - very impressed.

Sizes are completely out, way too big. Now I have to pay for return postage. Pretty poor for this day and age.

I've purchased a few items from Howies - usually in the sale.
I've found everything to be of great quality so washes and wears well.
It's also fits nicely.
I did have a problem once with a delivery and as a company they were excellent in sorting things out for me.
Can't fault this company.

I brought some jeans from them and I have no complaints size is great! I was looking ones with natural materials specifically organic cotton and these definetely beat my expectations. I am about to order another pair. Perhaps the sizing could go up to a 40 waist but other than that no complaints. Grea, fast shipping too!

My wife and I have been ordering from Howies on and off for a number of years due to the high quality of their clothes and original company ethos.

Had a small issue with my last order and Emily at customer service could not have dealt with it better.

Thought I should come on here and bother to leave a review after yet another incredible piece of customer service from Howies.

I’ve been buying from them for years and yet to have a bad product (the need for service is always from something I’ve screwed up/ordered wrong!)

They seem one of those rare British companies that seem to really care about their clothes/customers.

Reading the below am really surprised there are some negatives, but a few seem confused. If you ever buy something full price, they mail you a free post label to return for any reason within 3 months!

It’s only Sale items you have to pay to return yourself (presumably to keep their margins) and if it’s faulty (never happened to me) it says on the form just to email them and they process a free return.

It’s genuinely my most trusted clothing company (after Finisterre’s quality sadly fell off) and I’ve migrated a lot of my staples to them with no regrets.

1st time buying from Howies. Really fast delivery, and the quality of the dulas chinos is very good. I'm a quality practitioner in manufacturing, and deal with fabrics all day so I'm really hard to please, but these chinos are so comfortable that I haven't even thrown on my shorts or joggers when I got home. The workmanship is spot on, and the cut of the trousers is perfect for me (if you're a Levis 501 man you're gonna love these). Not too baggy, but not slim. Relaxed, but not hanging off your arse. The pictures on the website actually match how they look on a normal bloke, which is good. Got them half price, but they are worth 80.

brought some great jeans that unfortunately had an issue with the buttons. Emily and the customer care team were very helpful, they were returned, fixed and sent back to me, all in good tie, and all with fantastic communication from the team. Cannot fault Howies on how they look after their customers.

I haven't actually bought anything from Howies yet, but if their clothing and accessories are anything like their customer service (and I'm reliably informed that they are), I'm in for an absolute treat when I do!

I've had cause to ask quite a few questions about various items on the Howies website, and either Emily or Ade always take the time to get straight back to me with an answer. This is very rare in these days of fast fashion, so companies like Howies are to be cherished and favoured over others that barely give their customers the time of day!

I know that when I DO have sufficient funds to buy those Men's Regular Organic Jeans AND heat the house, I'll be straight back on the Howies website with my poor, unfortunate debit card!

Best customer service ever. I had a problem with a rivet type button on a pair of trousers. I won’t bore you with the detail but Emily was on the case straightaway and sorted the problems out by return, super service.

Used to be such a great company, from that to one of the worse is quite an achievement. Have used for almost 20 years. Bought four shirts in two different styles, all broke in one way or another in first use. And I have to pay the return postage.

I bought underwear for my wife that was ridiculously big for the size.

This brand used to be respectable?

I ordered chinos and was offered a free pack of underwear- discount to be applied at checkout. Except it wasn't and the order went through with them full price. 3 stars given in expectation of a refund on the not-so-free freebie.

What has happened with Howies?

They used to have a great selection of merino layers and items that you would actually want to wear. Now they seem to be pushing an environmental agenda at the expense of any style. What is happening with the colour palettes?? They used to have some good staples, like long sleeved merino tshirts and hoodies. But now it’s lemon fleeces and poo brown trousers. What’s happening howies!?

Amazing ethical company, I get all my clothes from Howies and find them hard wearing and smart.

I have purchased quite a few items from Howies now the quality is always amazing, the clothes are made to last and the fabrics are top quality. I was so happy to see the utility trousers available for women, there a great addition to my wardrobe thanks so much!
