Girl Meets Brush Reviews 

I discovered Girl Meets Brush last year and joined GMB The Academy in January which has turned out to be one of the best things I have ever done. I have completed evening college courses for my makeup and nail qualifications but being part of the Academy gives you 24/7 support, help, guidance and friendships. There's challenges to get your creativity flowing, module's to strengthen and develop your skills and of course a fully accredited online course. There is also a range of business courses to help get you up and running and make you stand out from the crowd. You will have access to a Free Masterclass which I highly recommend no matter what level of Artist you are. The Academy Founder, Lynne Mills, has a huge bank of knowledge and expertise. I can't recommend GMB highly enough.

What an amazing, knowledgeable, kind teacher Lynne Mills is. This is an incredible community to be part of. Not only do you have fabulous training, the after is awesome. Once you are part of Girl meets brush you have found a safe warm community to be with for a lifetime.

A great company which offers amazing opportunities for those within the academy, and professionals such as myself. Having dealt with GMB for a number of years on a professional level including placing large orders of stock, working jobs and developing educational materials I can wholeheartedly recommend them as a trustworthy, genuine business which goes above and beyond to ensure the best experience for clients.
The brushes are excellent quality, the academy well run and the challenges and prizes an outstanding opportunity for aspiring MUAs.

I joined the academy membership last year, and have found it to be extremely motivational and inspirational. It has personally pushed me out of my comfort zone and given me confidence I never knew I had! The course itself makes you really look at your own style as a makeup artist and how to become a successful MUA. It's aimed at all artists at every stage from complete beginners to successful buisness owners. The social media groups are fantastic! They are a safe place where I can get constructive feedback on my work, and ask questions about anything makeup related. The group members are so lovely and supportive, there really is just love for each other in the groups. The founder; lynne Mills, is so friendly, supportive and just lovely. She always replies with feedback whenever you ask for her input. She runs challenges and competitions within the groups, with amazing opportunities and prizes where we are able to further develop our careers as mua's. For example, a recent competition saw 2 of the winners working backstage at a London fashion week runway, providing makeup services for the models! If that wasn't enough, the brush set, girlmeetsbrush is an amazing set which I reach for daily. Highly recommend this course, the brush set and the media support.

This course if the best decision I have made. I have learned so much doing this course. Lynne Mills has given me the most amazing opportunities in this course. She has created an encouraging and supportive academy where I have flourished. Since starting this course I was part of the professional makeup team with Girl Meets Brush during London Fashion week 2020. I have also had my work published in Professional Beauty. Lynne is such a supportive, kind, skilled an encouraging leader. I have grown as an artist. 100% recommended.

What can I say about GMB and Lynne. It has been a life changer for me. I was already a qualified makeup artist but decided to take the course to learn some new skills and further my knowledge. It started off with the free online masterclass to which I really enjoyed so I signed up to the acedemy and I have learnt so so much from Lynne and met some absolutely amazing MUAs within the academy. Lynne also helps you directly too so it's not just another "online" course. She actually gets to know you and spend time answering questions you have. Thankyou Lynne for your hard work. As I Iike makeup and sell products, a friend of mine sent me info about a free makeup course. I decided that I had nothing to lose.
O the date and time I chose I started watching.
A lovely female voice (no faces yet), explained what we were going to learn. So far so good.
The 1st video was of highlighti and here is were it got South. The model already had makeup on. How can you do a tutorial with makeup already on? Additionally, you don't start with highlighting but with skin types and how to choose your skin care, then primers, Foundation types, etc.
Then the voice came on again. Suddenly she is talking marketing but that's supposed to be at the end, this was followed by a video showing how to do a look, except that this was done without any explanations this time. Just a woman doing makeup on a model who already had makeup on and music playing.
When 2 more videos like this were shown I gave up. This was 30min into the webinar, which is a video on YouTube. The vid BTW was halfway through.
Later I even received and email to order my certificate. For what? I ask! They were also offering a full online course for around £1,000. Are they serious?!
It's useless, don't bother. I'm just happy that those 30min were free
