A con
A con. An evening event was 4.30. Told to walk two miles to pick up passes at 2pm on Saturday and miss qualifing. Advertised as free time in paddock before the event but none. Taking legal action to claim money back. Ruined my holiday.

easy to deal with no problems excelent
Not a very good website, further development and improvement needed to improve the clarity of the bidding process.
I've gone through two bidding processes on this website and both of them were problematic.
With the first I was the winner of the auction but after it had finished I was informed that my bid was below the reserve price on the item and so the charity would have to be contacted to decide whether to re list or not. The problem for me was that nowhere on the auction details did it say that there was a reserve price on the item.
I contacted Givergy about this and suggested that it would be a good idea to state the reserve price for the item as by doing this people would:-
a) have an idea as to the intended cost of the item
b) would not have their hopes raised and time wasted bidding on an item that may well have a reserve price which was out of their reach.
Givergy accepted my comments and said that they would do this. However, on the next similar item that came up for auction, instead of stating clearly that there was a reserve on the item AND saying what the price was was they chose to put a message on the page, below the current bid, informing people that there was a reserve on the item which had not been met by the current bid. This is not the same as what I suggested and, in my opinion still leaves things unclear.
I then bid on another item for the same charity. Prior to this I had carefully read the details of how the bidding process works using the FAQ section of the website. These stated that if there was a higher bid placed on an item within the final 2 minutes of the auction the countdown clock would be re set to 2 minutes and this would happen each time a higher bid was placed.
With just over two minutes to go I placed a bid on the item that I wanted. By the time that my bid was placed there was less than 2 minutes to go. The page refreshed to show that I was the highest bidder and the clock counted down to zero. My web page still showed the message saying that I was currently the highest bidder right up to, and after the end of the sale. About a minute after the sale ended I received a text message informing me that unfortunately I had been out bid! I was still looking at a screen telling me that I was the highest bidder!! I had also watched the timer count down to zero without re setting or my message changing to one informing me that I was no longer the highest bidder.
After contacting Givergy (again!) I found out that the re setting of the timer after a higher bid had been discontinued some time ago but that for some reason the relevant page of the website had not been updated. I also discovered that after making the highest bid on an item and getting a refreshed page informing me that I was the highest bidder the only part of that page that is updating in real time is the timer!
In actual fact I had been outbid by someone else but there is nothing on the website that informs you of this. the only way that you can keep track of what is happening with the auction is to constantly reresh the webpage! I never found anything on the Givergy website informing me of the need for this.
Givergy were very apologetic when I took this up with them and said that they hoped to incorporate real time inprovements into a future upgrade, however I think that website should have had these features from the start. In this way people know where they stand and can keep track on what's going on.
To be fair, this last problem could have been avoided if I had used the maximum bid facility but having had a very unsettling and suspicious experience when using one of these on another website I had chosen to bid 'live' - or so I thought.
