Givergy is a nightmare

Givergy is a nightmare. We have done several events with them*, and they have made terrible, costly mistakes each time: They've sent emails to our donors telling them they won auctions when they didn't. They told one of our bidders who the ANONYMOUS person bidding against him was. They have sent the private donor contact information for other organizations to the wrong company TWICE. They lost our checks multiple times, requiring that we cancel them and issue new ones that were mailed with tracking (this alone has cost us over $100). These are just the MAJOR problems we have had with them, there have been other, smaller issues as well. They always try to blame us for their mistakes; getting them to admit culpability is like pulling teeth. They have never offered real solutions; after spending a huge amount of money with them, the best they could do was a $500 refund. On top of all this, their platform is clunky and unattractive. Our donors have complained about difficulty bidding; one donor was so frustrated, he recommended an alternative company he had used at another charity's event. Givergy is truly awful at what they do.

Givergy has asked me to remove this review, saying they "disagree" with it. This is a perfect example of their customer service. Instead of admitting they were wrong, and trying to improve, they ignore the problem. There aren't a lot of reviews of them, and at least some of the "5-star" reviews are posted by their employees. They split their company reviews on Google by city so the bad ones for the new t York location no longer show up. This is heavily skewing their overall rating, and I think it's important that people see what they are really getting with Givergy. Another place to check out for real information about the company is Glassdoor. It's an employee review site, but you can learn a lot about the company from the reviews there. One employee notes that Givergy "constantly oversold and then left [clients] disappointed." Another stated that Givergy is "a company where everyone is blaming each other for mistakes they made." Oh how many mistakes there have been.

*The only reason we used them more than once is because they set up their own wireless network, a necessity for us. I strongly recommend you use a different company.

Do not use !

I believe I have received frudlent emails after entering the Blue Vinyl campaign. I have made a number of phone calls to Givergy to alert them of this and also to establish if I do in fact have the tickets I bought. I have been told a number of times that the person dealing with this is not in the office. I gave my number for this person to call me - they didn’t !
I was then given a number to call them, I left a message - they didn’t get back to me. They are seemingly uninterested in investigating what may be freudulant behaviour using information I have I given them. Very poor communication - totally unacceptable. I would not trust them with information or use their service.

Easy to bid on items, however there is nothing to state delivery times. 9 days in and I'm still waiting for confirmation of how to claim the item.
Not sure why I need to claim the item as they have already taken an address when I made the payment.
Shame, because it would put me off bidding again on a very worthwhile cause

Just an update - It is now 9 days since I paid the postage and sent them the delivery details - still nothing received and no indication of when it is likely to arrive. No response to mail.
Assume that nothing will happen over Christmas which will mean it will be well over a month since the auction was won (and paid for instantly). Downgrading my rating accordingly

Givergy Is very bad at communication and may be fraudulent

Went to the Wicks charity dinner and bid £10k worth of stuff. Got an sms and paid it promptly. Then nothing at all happened. I did not get an email or any kind of follow up at all. I called and was told it would take 4-5 days. It’s now been 8 days and still waiting. I see other happy customers but this has been very bad for me and would not recommend it. Now I have to take more formal action to get my money back since there seems to be no forthcoming communication I can only assume this is a fraudulent company.

Lack of information - Two Wheels for Life

Lack of information from Two Wheels for Life auction. The Givergy auction process itself was easy and fine but the after the auction, money was taken instantly and then I heard nothing. After a few days, I found an email address for Two Wheels for Life online and emailed them, when I got a reply just confirming we won the bid and the exact same wording from the auction, which answered none of my questions. I sent several emails after this to obtain details of collecting passes etc. and only one further email was replied to. We have just arrived in Thailand and with the event we have tickets for starting in just over 24 hours, I have no information about obtaining our tickets. I'm reading reviews on here now and see others with the same issue. Stressful when you've paid a significant amount of money and travelled from the UK to Thailand for an event. I run an extremely busy business and deal with over 300 emails per day, and always ensure I reply to people needing a reply, so it can be done.

I love giving to charity, but I would not have bid if I'd have known this would have happened as it's just making me anxious that I'm +8 hours from UK time and getting no response at all. Bid with this in mind!!!! Looks like we'll be scrabbling around tomorrow to see if we can buy last minute VIP tickets at this rate, at a cost of £1000.
