Travelled 2 hours to purchase an audi a1 the beginning of the week. Definitely worth the travel! Lovely car, and very friendly, helpful staff, would definitely recommend!

Really impressed with GL1 car sales, they made the whole process of buying a car really straight forward, quick and easy. Luckily I was fairly sure what I wanted, but even so, no pushy sales techniques or trying to upsell to push me over my budget. I test drove the car, it was given a full MOT and I collected it the next day. It was clean and ready to go. I would definitely go back, I feel I can really trust them, which is rare these days!

Awful experience, avoid at all costs. The car experienced issues within days. I gave them 3 chances to rectify and they didn't, asked for a full refund, this was denied. They bought the car back off me rather than refund, for £1400 less than i paid, 6 weeks after buying the car. They also called me multiple times trying to scare me into removing my negative google review. They made up complete lies in their response and the owner is rude and aggressive. You will have so many issues with them if your car has problems, which is likely with their bodged fixes on used vehicles. Read through their reviews on Google, anyone who has needed to return the car for a refund has had a terrible experience.

Just got my new car from G L Cars.Nick has done it again today the BMW that I have just got lovely when I went for a drive that was the car for me. G. L. Cars are very good with you they know what they are doing with the car's that they sell you get no problems with anything that they sell you all the car's and campervan. This is my 4th car that I have had from nick and the boy's . That are just checking it over and put a new MOT on for me.If you need a new car or a campervan or motorbike give nick a call here will help you out.

Very friendly and helpful staff good selection of good quality cars

GL1 Car Sales repeatedly misrepresented the condition and correct operation of the vehicle. They breached the time limit they themselves imposed on our contract and then refused to return our deposit. When we allowed them more time the rectify the issues they again failed to satisfactorily fulfil those terms. In order to mitigate for their failures and satisfy ourselves as to the condition of the vehicle (we had lost confidence in GL1 Car Sales), we asked to arrange an independent vehicle inspection, they withheld permission for us to arrange an independent vehicle inspection (in breach of their AA Sales terms), then gave us a 3-day ultimatum to collect the vehicle (after we first had allowed them additional time after failing to meet the terms of their own contract).
If you have had issues with this company, report it to AA Complaints; we did, but AA would not take action on a ‘first’ reported offence.
In short don’t, just don’t. Go elsewhere.

It’s rare to find a garage you can trust, especially as a woman. I felt in safe hands, everything was explained really well and all my questions answered. I wasn’t rushed and the staff were patient with me. Great range to choose from and good quality stock compared to what I’d seen elsewhere. Would highly recommend.

Came across this dealer through autotrader, looking to spend 34k and interested however one agent gave different info about the car saying it’s a footballer car, next one said it’s a football manager car. They said they didn’t have what’s app or smart phones to send a video so I could see the condition of the car. Then spoke to another agent he said we have phones but can’t send videos it’s a waste of time for us. We were also told of features of the car that this has massaging option next agent said no that’s for the other car we have which is 38k not this. Then the next agent said no it’s for this. Then one agent told us it’s 61k milage the next said 70k. I’m someone willing to spend 30k plus but how can I do it when the pre sale service is already misleading how would the post sale be. Called me later and begged me to delete the post and promised me to send me 1k. I’ve refused it! What a bunch of clowns! Everything was recorded if anybody wants to hear it welcome to do it just to prove what kind of people they are.

Highly recommend this seller. I purchased this yellow Vauxhall in April 2023 but I wanted to use the car for a while before reviewing it. Lovely car, low mileage, well looked after just as they told me on the sale day. Used the car for 7 months now and around 6000 miles , haven't had one problem with it. Very pleased with my purchase, very friendly staff at GL1 car sale , paperwork and final car checks done within 1h .

Awful garage do not use. I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased.
I’ve saved so hard for my daughters first car and ended up with a car that is not road worthy and has the engine management light on.
They are fobbing me off. Telling me it’s out of warranty etc.
Please stay clear and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
To say I’m upset is an understatement.

Get every single thing that comes out of their mouths in writing. Every promise of guarantees, money back, repairs, warranties, ect ect take ABSOLUTELY NOTHING they say as any kind of security for your purchase as the second they have your money you are doomed. Go anywhere else. Walk, get a bus, invest in a pushbike, literally consider everything and anything before buying from here. Halfords have just told us the front brake pads and discs need changing like NOW, and the exhaust won't last the month. Also the engine has been flooded with oil, hence the oil warning lights. If in any doubt as to this review, speak to the staff at the business next door. Apparently customers are always returning cars and GL1 cars have a terrible reputation for it. Never met anyone with lower standards.

The vehicle I purchased from GL1 is unsafe to drive and has suspension issues. The dealer refused my legal right for a refund and they wouldn't repair the vehicle for me. After reporting the issue to them the next day they said "we want nothing more to do with you and your car". All the fancy sales tactics like warranty and AA approved is not worth the paper it is written on.
They will twist and turn conversations around in order to make it look like the customer is to blame. I wish I had never purchased the vehicle from Gl1 Car Sales and urge people to steer clear. As soon as the dealer has your money there is no going back. In the event that the dealer attempts to remove this review I have proof of purchase.
