My experience working with Global Resource Pool, a company claiming to offer academic research opportunities, has been extremely negative and disappointing. From the beginning, I encountered significant issues with unprofessional behavior from the CEO and staff, including unsolicited and persistent calls that made me uncomfortable.
I completed projects for them but faced serious problems with delayed and withheld payments. Despite repeated requests for full financial settlements, payments were not processed properly and communication was often contradictory and unprofessional. I was pressured to continue working even after my contract was abruptly terminated.
The company's payment practices included delaying payments with excuses related to “internal approvals” and withholding retention amounts that are contractually owed. Attempts to resolve these issues were met with dismissive and disrespectful responses.
I strongly advise freelancers and clients to exercise caution when dealing with Global Resource Pool. Based on my direct experience, I found their business practices and communication to be unethical and exploitative. Protect your time, effort, and income by thoroughly researching before engagement.
