As one of the most prestigious hotels in Ireland, we were excited to partner with Glofox, believing that we were choosing the "best gym software company" based on their initial promises. Unfortunately, the reality of our experience couldn't have been further from expectations.
Right from the start, after we signed the contract, things began to go downhill. The setup process, which was supposed to be a streamlined and supported experience, ended up being a frustrating DIY project. We were essentially left to manage everything ourselves, with minimal assistance.
To make matters worse, our marketing department was forced to build the mobile app on their own. No help, no guidance — just a lot of unnecessary trial and error. When we reached out for support, the communication was non-existent. We sent multiple emails to various addresses, hoping for some sort of resolution, but received little to no response.
For a company that brands itself as a top-tier solution for gym management, Glofox failed to deliver on almost every front. If you're a serious business looking for reliable software and solid customer support, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Save yourself both time and money, as this experience has been nothing but frustrating.
In short, Glofox may look good on paper, but in practice, it falls far short of expectations.
So if you read any of the postive reviews below you can clearly see they are done by the company as they will say what rep is good etc.
If you are a gym owner please avoid this company at all cost they are useless, their software is super basic and it's very overpriced
I have warned you , I switched to a software which is nearly 2/3 cheaper per month and is overall better , make sure to look around.
We did love Glofox, but recently after a rate increase with our subscription without being notified prior we are super unhappy! Glofox sent us an email stating our renewal price would be our usual subscription amount, and then they took $3000 more and apparently we were notified via email. We checked all emails and can 100% say we did not receive the email. When asked to send the original email, they haven’t. Now they’re stating to refund $509 out of “goodwill”. We have proceeded to take this further. Not happy!!!!
At first when my franchise switched to Glofox I was hesitant and unsure of the change. But Larry made everything a smooth transition from our old software to Glofox. Larry has proved that no matter the problem, he’s there to help. He’s fast, efficient, polite and always positive every time I’ve reached out. My gym has been using Glofox for over 2 years now and Larry still answers every call to make sure my business is performing at its best. I wish every company had someone like Larry. I have zero complaints about Glofox.
The customer service is phenomenal. They absolutely go out of their way to resolve issues and help you. Larry, who has helped me many times, is exceptional and extremely knowledgeable. Switching to a new system is never easy, but having the kind of support that Glofox has offered makes for a smooth transition.
Glofox seems easy to use. Update are an improvement. Tech support responds effectively and efficiently
Not even worth one star at this stage. almost triple my subscription after a year. On migration to another provider they want to charge me for my own members details ( only 55 on this occasion for card payments). Ignore complaints and incredible unhelpful with my transition.
Avoid at all costs and go with another provider

Megan Lockhart was our main point of her contact and her online support was fantastic! Helpful, efficient, and great communication. Highly recommend! We have also enjoyed utilising GloFox for our business.
Our onboarding Manager, Louise Piotrowski was so supportive and helpful. We are due to go live any time now and our on boarding meetings she answered all my questions, guided me and was always at the end of an email to run our setup by her. Thank you so much Louise! Wish I could keep you on speed dial!
We ordered and tried to use this app for a few months. Luckily, not many students paid via this app because all the money didn't come to us already. We officially requested to unsubscribe from all messages and request money back, but they are still sending promotional emails.

Opened a Circuit Training facility in the north of Sweden, needed software to manage many aspects of the business. Did my research, found Glofox, contacted and supported initially, by Oisin, who was really direct, patient and professional.
Decided Glofox was for me, after demonstrations into functionally, personalised app and website integration capabilities.
Paid for a year. Then, passed onto Monica Garrido, to ‘onboard me’. This was a process of which she led me through with patience and professionalism. For which, I am massively greatful!
When they sign you up it's all bells and whistles and they tell you the system does everything you want it to.
However, once you're signed up you start to realise that it doesn't do things in the way that you need so you end up doing loads more admin. For example, if someone buys a membership and you then add a new class, no one who has an existing membership will be able to use it to join that new class, you'll have to go into every single account and manually change it.
If someone has a membership they can't pay as you go, it just tells them they're not eligible, which will lose you loads of bookings.
The app for the back end is basically useless, you can do nothing on your phone, it has to be on a pc. Your staff also won't be able to do anything much on the app; halfway through my contract with them they removed the ability to see past classes so now all teachers have to ask me to confirm their numbers before they can bill - even more admin. Things like automated emails and sales stuff is all add on even if you have the platinum package which is crazy expensive.
The thing that pushed me to really hate them? I downgraded from platinum to basic package while I searched for a new system but they didn't tell me that in downgrading I was actually signing up to new contract. They hid this in the invoice and didn't mention it once so when I then tried to cancel after I found a much better system which is 70% cheaper, they are now forcing me to pay the rest of my contract. I'm not using their rubbish system and I'm still paying them £114 a month til mid next yet so they're absolutely laughing.
Do not use this company they are just a shiny package and a slick sales team, the actual dev side of it is just awful. Learn from my mistake!
The customer service representatives you speak to on the phone are really helpful and kind. However, the system itself is terrible, with constant errors that require you to spend many hours each week checking things. Several times, the system has failed to charge customers correctly, and I only discovered it manually, which means I've probably missed out on a lot of payments. Once you're using the system, it's complicated to switch, especially when dealing with customers, but I am actively looking for a new provider. Glofox is not functioning well, and there's no compensation for the extra manual time spent recovering payments. I've been asking for a gift card solution since the start of the pandemic, and they still say they’re working on it. I wouldn’t recommend choosing Glofox.
Shocking experience. Old fashioned technology. If we wanted to add a new class, people you purchased membership prior to the class being on the schedule won’t be able to access (need to cancel and purchase a membership again)
Doesn’t automatically charge clients fees (eg late fee) you need to go in and manually do it yourself.
Was hard to deal with them when issues arose and they began to palm me off from one person to another.
This was only a few issues…

Had a pushy sales call who duped me into agreeing their software, I never set up the software and cancelled within 2 days. They have take £1120 from my account for absolutely nothing!

Very very disappointing experience.
Putting your trust in a software is the one of the biggest and toughest decisions as a small gym owner. They handle all of your client data from personal information to credit card and billing.
Ironically the “customer success team” have the slowest response time imaginable. Usually over 2 weeks waiting, with follow ups from myself every other day to try move the pressing issues along.
If you’re a studio owner stay well clear of this provider.
Outstanding service from Louise Piotrowski. Honestly cannot thank her enough for all her support during my sign up. If the rating had been on Louise and Osin it would have been 5 star.
My only disappointment was not being able to close off new sign ups. For security reasons I wanted to be able to accept new sign ups as I am currently full.
If this could be a feature that would be great for me signing up again in future.

Where to begin? Lied to in sales meeting about capacity of platform. 48 hour minimum is support response, IF a replied to at all. Expensive- highest in market. The App integration is TERRIBLE! The website integration is clunky and when viewed on a mobile device, basically unusable. Please consider anywhere but Glofox. I lost thousands of dollars in membership defaults because the platform was non user friendly for my clients or management
