I ordered a lot of items from great little trading company, some of which were for my daughter’s birthday. I didn’t hear from them for 16 days and when I did it was to tell me an item they let me order was actually out of stock and they didn’t know when it would be back. This is extremely poor customer service, I have now missed my daughters birthday and I am still yet to receive the rest of my order. Do not order from this company!

My furniture order took over 3 weeks to arrive and when it did there was damage on some parts of the cabinet. It’s a shame as we’ve bought some lovely toys and storage baskets from here before and really like their products. I’m not sure what’s going on with them at the moment but it’s put me off buying any larger items from them again.

After another 20 e mails they’ve admitted there is no toy on its way.
I am going to take this to the Ombudsman because companies like this should not be allowed to exist.
They hide behind no way of contacting them and automatic responses. I will buy from IKEA so much for trying to back British - don’t bother!
15 e mails so far with no information
I am devastated with this company’s service. I ordered an expensive kitchen toy for my grandson’s first birthday yesterday and I have no idea when it will arrive. I write every day but get AI generated ridiculous ‘thank you for reaching out…’ e mails. Since when has ‘reaching out’ been a thing? I’m upset beyond belief as I received an e mail this morning from their courier stating that if GLTC have told you we have your parcel it’s not true and they will have to pick it up themselves! What does this all mean? Have I lost my money?
Do not buy from this company it’s a total scam!

The product was good but the customer service is unsatisfactory. There is no telephone number so I had to complain about the non delivery by email. Response by the customer service department was slow, initially anonymous and, at one point, completely erroneous in that I was told my parcel had been delivered - the photo they sent me by email showed the wrong parcel, the wrong address and the wrong signature. In the end, I chased up the delivery myself by phoning FedEx and fighting my way past the AI bot until I finally got through to a human who sorted it all out pretty quickly.
GLTCo needs a customer service phone number or at least a faster and more accurate email system.

Short version - spent £450 on items for new playroom on 3rd December, finally delivered on 23rd December (20 days after order), and missing 5 items from delivery.
Multiple email chases and horrific customer service
Full timeline below
3rd Dec
Built an order - total of everything in the basket displayed as £370. When order confirmed, it took £450 from my card.
Emailed to ask why and requested to manually add an account number to delivery address as it needed to be onwardly posted to Isle of Man (IOM) by courier company (online form didn't allow me to)
Billing postcode wasn't accepted online as was IOM (despite this order not being delivered to IOM), so had to work around, but order placed and money taken.
Clarified these were my son's Christmas presents
Response: No reason given for difference in price
8th Dec (5 days since order)
Chased for order update and requested ETA. Also requested confirmation that account number had been added as it needed to be onwardly posted.
Response: None
9th Dec (6 days since order)
Received no response so chased again for update
Response: Very vague apologies that order not been dispatched, "unforeseen challenges in warehouse". Order will be prioritised for XDP shipping.
9th Dec (6 days since order)
Again requested ETA, and again clarified these were my son's Christmas presents so needed to be delivered by Christmas
Response (11th Dec): "Your order is due to be dispatched shortly". Still no ETA
11th Dec (8 days since order)
Requested a specific ETA, and again clarified this was for onward delivery to IOM
Response (12th Dec): "We regret to inform you one of your items isn't available, cannot be located in warehouse. Would you like to select a similar item?"
13th Dec (10 days since order)
Requested an item change, and again requested an ETA as now getting tight to post to courier company and them onwardly deliver to IOM
Response: None
15th Dec (12 days since order)
Requested further urgent order update as no notification order has been dispatched despite paying £450 12 days ago.
Response: Order set to be dispatched from warehouse today
15th Dec (12 days since order)
Clarified what the delivery actually contained (email of 12th Dec saying one item not available). Also queried if account number is on package (again)
Response (16th Dec): Order dispatched today and on way to XDP. No response to either question above, totally ignored.
16th Dec (13 days since order)
Asked the same two questions again
Response: Confirmed it contained original item, still no confirmation if account number is on parcel.
17th Dec (14 days since order)
Asked again if account number is on the order
Response: Finally (a different person, Freya) confirmed the account number was on the package
19th Dec (16 days since order)
No sign of any items at courier company, queried again where they are as meant to be dispatched
Response (20th Dec): Apologies for the delivery delay, "quickly escalated" apparently. If no movement they will update in 24 hours
22nd Dec (19 days since order)
No response in 24 hours as promised, chased again to find out where my order is
Response (23rd Dec): Order is apparently being delivered to courier company today (spoiler - it wasn't). Likely too late now to be onwardly delivered to the Isle of Man and my son will not have his Christmas presents that were ordered on 3rd Dec.
23rd Dec (20 days since order)
Email received from GLTC asking to confirm when I had received items (responded to re-clarify as I have many many times, they are going to courier company in UK so unable to do so)
Auto Response: Out of office until 28th December 2025
24th Dec (21 days since order)
Thanks to very quick turnaround from courier company (delivered to IoM next day), some items arrived on the Isle of Man. 5 of the ordered items were not however in the parcel.
28th Dec (25 days since order)
Now we have reached the 28th December, which was the date on the auto response, queried why 5 items that had been ordered and paid for weren't in the order
Response: Out of office until 29th December 2025

My wife recently bought a Whale baby walker for our grand daughter and as usual I was expected to put it together. I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the quality and ease of assembly of the product. Everything fitted perfectly and appears to be well made and designed. The final assembled product looks great.
So I purchased a GLTC product via a third party and when it failed to be delivered within the agreed time slot, after reaching out to the company I placed the order with and receiving a very blasé response, I decided to reach out to GLTC directly.
I was not expecting much help as the contract technically was not with them, however their customer service was great.
They were very quick to respond to me and got an order sent out for me the next day! I am very impressed with their assistance and felt the need to let people know how excellent they were.
The item arrived within a couple days as they advised and I can confirm the quality of the item is great.
I would have no hesitation in ordering from this company and would highly recommend them.
I paid £500 for a bed frame and £15 for delivery on the 15th of November. The delivery was estimated 2-4 weeks. I ordered on a specific date to ensure I got it before Christmas. I have contacted the customer service team multiple times and have struggled to get a response. I finally got a response that there is an issue with my order and it will come after Christmas but I am no further forward as to when it will arrive and if it will even come. Absolutely shocking for the price I have paid !!!!!!
Placed an order for a book shelf. 10 later no contact so chased and they said they couldn’t find our address (new build) I confirmed it was correct. Then they told me they had no stock so it would be refunded. Then they told me they had stock and would be sent out. Chased again and told they need to confirm my address (this I confirmed :times). Then silence again! Chased and told they had refunded me…unsure why. Then I complained and asked to speak to a manger (no numbers just a generic email). Was then told it was being processed chased again and told order has been cancelled. Do not order from
After months of emailing, still no response from the non-existent customer service, item was returned as poor quality yet still £70 never been refunded
Ordered £200 worth of stuff, doll's house etc. 2 weeks and nothing. No customer service number to call for an update, just an email with a 'pledge' to respond within 72 hours. Oh, and a link to a shipping tracking app called Shop, which one has to register with first. Seriously GLTC? Is this what you consider to be excellent customer service? Based on this experience, would likely shop elsewhere in future, irrespective of the quality of product. Consumers should not be taken for mugs. Where we are, well we should speak with our wallets.
The service, delivery and help from this company is brilliant.
I had a problem with my order and the contact back and forth was so
helpful.
Thank you once again
Recieved my items today, after waiting for two weeks. I'm not sure where they are storing the items, but everything STINKS of mould. The £180 rug cannot be used in my son's nursery, even the plastic crates STINK! They are obviously being stored somewhere damp.
Frustrating customer service.
But over all happy with product when it finally turned up!
I placed an order a few weeks ago and It never showed up. I reached out to costumer service who after a while got back and a apologised and asked how I would like to proceed, I said that I would like to go ahead with the order as they assured it would be sorted out fast. The next day I still hadn't had a response so I emailed a couple more times. Eventually I had a response saying they were waiting for me to decide how I would like to proceed even tho I had sent multiple messages saying that I would like to proceed. I have now replied for the fourth time that I just want what I paid for and am still awaiting response. It just seems a very long winded and frustrating way to just get a problem that they made sorted.
Ordered a bean bag for one of the grand children for Christmas. Placed the order on the 22/11/25, it arrived today after 16 days, pathetically poor.
On delivery the items packaging was soaking wet, seeping through to the inner bag, with water stains on the actual bean bag.
Asked for a refund, waiting response from the not fast 'customer service' dept.
Just avoid. This firm will not be in business long.
Teatime cake sorter.
This is the most beautiful gift. It was packaged well with each individual cake in its own compartment. Whilst described as a shape sorter it is so much more- a tiny person’s dream present play. My granddaughter loves it.
