Many people found customer support to be non-existent or unresponsive, making it difficult to get help or receive replies to their inquiries. Numerous users reported their accounts being blocked without warning or clear explanation, leading to loss of access and important data. The website's user experience was also criticized for clunky new layouts and difficulties finding essential contact options. Fails to look into allegations of phishing

Fails to look into allegations of phishing

I am receiving phishing emails from users at their service via GMX.net. I informed them through their contact form but their English-language people insist that, because it's from their German-language service, I must use a German-language "kontaktformular" instead. I'm unsure why the first people who work for GMX won't forward my complaint to any other people who work for GMX but rather demand that I do their work for them, but OK I guess I'm the victim so I have to do the legwork. Then the Germans unloaded several pages of German-language technicalities on me and eventually told me (I think? it's in German) to contact English-speaking people for help. A says, please talk to B -- B says, sprechen Sie bitte mit A. Full circle run-around. (Funny thing is, I do speak a little German.) I'm not taking any more time with this slippery organization. They deliberately encourage phishing, IMO.

This is one of the worst email…

This is one of the worst email providers I have encounted. I've been with them for a few years now and all of a sudden they lock my account without any notice. Just had problems trying to login. They want me to save my password with my browser, which I'm hesitant in doing. I dont save my password to anyone but me, but I did try it and it still did not work, so I figured this is a scam. I then clicked, that it is out of the question to save my password on a browser and then it ask for such a long list of personal data, I just gave up and to hell with the email account. Not only are they corrupt, but I had my account hacked twice with them, so I knew it is time to find a more secure email provider. Good riddens to bad rubbish.....

Not recommendable

Not recommendable. Have an email account since 20 years. Encountered an issue with POP server not able to reset my PW and given I’m not living anymore in Switzerland, they are not supporting at all. Ignoring emails. Same pattern and poor client centric approach at C-suits level. Stick to google or iCloud!

Easy to use email service without ads within

I and my relatives have been using gmx for years. None of us are tech minded and have found it easy to use. Good all round email service with a lot of extras such as redirecting emails from other accounts held with other providers. I dont get ads once signed in.

Absolutely awful support

Absolutely awful support, I have been a customer with them for over 10 years, multiple accounts and as soon as I needed some help 2 weeks between responses and still not solved, have had to change the email on all my accounts as a result! DO NOT USE THEM!

Literally nothing good about the service

I've been using GMX for a few years now and am really sick of it.
Pros:
Um....

Cons:
1. It's not user friendly and despite the claims of being the most secure email service I get tons of spam (more than any of my other emails).
2. It logs me out every time the internet gets disconnected for a split second or I sleep my computer.
3. Doesn't save drafts. It will tell you it did but they're nowhere in the drafts folder so you lose everything you just typed.
4. I've had friends that were locked out of their account for no reason whatsoever.
5. etc. There's literally nothing good about the service.

This email site is FALLING APART in…

I wrote the review below a week ago. Note that there is ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSE. Again today an important email failed to send and I could not save it in Drafts to keep it for later.

This email site is FALLING APART in recent weeks. I was happy for years, Now
- email failing to send. Screen Freezing
- Help form no longer functioning
- blurred 'consent page' which has to be deleted to login.
- inbox taking an age to load.
-inbox crashing to a blank screen.
Worst of all is NO HELPDESK. I think they must be suffering from severe STAFF SHORTAGES.
This once great site is now a total mess and seems to be getting worse every day. After 15 years I am quiting.

GMX is a very poor e-mail service

GMX is a very poor e-mail service. Stay away from it! It is used for frauds and the company does nothing to stop it.
Criminals use my e-mail adress as contact adress over and over again when they register a new GMX e-mail adress. I have several times demanded that this bad company block people for using my e-mail adress as contact adress. It easy to do but this lazy company does nothing. Don't use GMX mail if you want to stay out of trouble.

THese guys are hackers

THese guys are hackers. They set it up so you trust them with a mess of info, then they flip it on you and steal accounts. They slice off of those of us who invest in bitcoin and alt-coins. They outright stole my paypal that I had direct linked to the email. Who knows what else kind in havoc and damage they have done to the world. I am totally blown away by the disgusting tactics.... No seriously. I know life is tough and we are all going to die one day. But I didn't see a successful business flipping the scripts and ripping their customers off completely... I lost my account and because of their dodge tactics and page looping methods- I will likely never see my account again. If they did it to me , they done it to others. Down with GMX! They not only stole a mass of information from all of us, they blocked my from multiple of my bank accounts! It happened to me, it could happen to you~! (feel my pain.)

Horrible

Horrible. Account hacked twice now and I can't get it back. So much money connected to accounts I used with it, completely wasted. No help, they let them change everything even though I let them know immediately someone out of my country had requested to change password. What the hell do I do now.
