All of the coordinators I was involved with, were extremely helpful, professional, and organized. My experience met my expectations and I would like to do another again.
Great communication from start to finish.

I wanted to give you a quick update on our stay in Costa Rica.
Overall, we are doing well. Everyone we have met has been very kind, welcoming, helpful, and approachable. We truly appreciate the friendliness of the staff, managers and the people we have interacted with.
The only challenge for us has been the food provided at the center. Unfortunately, it has not been to our family’s taste, so we have been eating lunch and dinner outside almost every day, which has become an unexpected additional expense.
I would also like to share an observation—not as a criticism, but simply as feedback that may be helpful. The center currently has to much volunteers from different programs, and because the facility is not to big, the animals areas often feel overcrowded. As a result, sometimes it can be difficult to fully participate or find space to do much during free time.
I would also make it clear that the rescue center is not a hotel. It is a humble place with basic accommodations, and several volunteers may share a room and common areas. Anyone staying there should come prepared to focus on helping the animals rather than expecting hotel comforts or restaurant-style meals.
Regarding the hotel ( in my case) the staff has been excellent. They have always been very helpful and have done their best to accommodate any requests we have had. However, I do wish we had known in advance which hotel we would be staying at. Had I known, I would have gladly paid a little more for a different option. Our room does not have a refrigerator, microwave, or even a trash can, so we have had to rely on the hotel staff to store our food in their refrigerator and help us heat it when needed. Additionally, the bed has been quite uncomfortable.
Other than these observations, we are doing well and are grateful for the opportunity to be here.

My Experience;
My experience was nothing short of brilliant. From exploring the beautiful country of Costa Rica, studying (Latin American) Spanish in a classroom and working alongside generous and talented people at a Rescue Centre.
My experience started with completing a week (Latin American) Spanish course. Giving me the knowledge and communication skills to prevail upon any challenges I faced socially further on my experience. This course was taught by fantastic, knowledgeable teachers, who made it extremely easy to understand the language and challenging aspects but also have fun. During this time I was also provided lodging with a host family. They were so friendly and welcoming and I never felt out of place. It made learning the language easier as it was very minimal English. But that pushed me to work harder and get to know these wonderful people. They also provided authentic Costa Rican food and a beautiful abode to rest and sleep in. In sum it was an experience I will never forget and provided me with invaluable knowledge.
The next portion was volunteering at Costa Rica Animal Rescue Centre. This experience was one that I recommended to anyone curious. But definitely for those who have a love for animals. The accommodation was outstanding along with the authentic, delicious food provided by the delightful cooks. The cleaning services provided by a wonderful woman. And ran by some of the most lovely welcoming people I have ever met. I gained knowledge that is inaccessible to anyone unwilling to try. And experience in a challenging yet fulfilling field. I learnt to prepare food for the animals in a correct manner. Clean and disinfect enclosures. And a vast array of other skills that will help me not only in the field but in daily life also. Despite the sometimes early wake up. There is always coffee and that was just the cherry on top. Between that. The spectacular diversity of animals. And the kind souls there. It is a place I will never forget
Go Eco offered me this. And helped me in a difficult portion of my life. Through them I have met the most amazing people, including people at go eco themselves. Who offered me experiences, guidance and support which I am so humbly appreciative of. To anyone I recommended choosing an experience like mine, with GoEco.

GoEco did everything for us- transportation to and from the airport, host family to animal rescue after our week of language, transportation to our tour and back. We loved our experience with our host family and language immersion. The animal rescue was hard and rewarding work. I wish I had more time to spend doing both.

GoEco (Cass and the team) rescued our original GVI trip with less than 2 weeks of planning to a new area in Mexico, in order for us to use our original flights. As a group of worried parents, having lost a lot of money due to the liquidation of GVI we were hesitant about other companies doing the same thing.
Speaking on behalf of the group, we are delighted with the professionalism, planning and execution of the Mexico diving trip. Our group of 15-17 year olds are safe in amazing accommodation, attending training from a 5* dive school and taking part in coral conservation.
I thoroughly recommend Cass and The GoEco ground teams. The process was amazing and stress free. Payments are secure and all questions were answered and we were put at ease. GoEco have made a group of disheartened teen's very happy and making incredible memories. Thank you for pulling this out the bag.

Volunteering on Sado Island was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had in Japan. What made it truly special wasn't just the volunteer work—it was the opportunity to experience authentic rural Japanese life and immerse myself in the island's rich culture.
The local festivals were unforgettable, bringing the community together with traditional music, dance, and celebrations that have been preserved for generations. I also had the chance to learn about Sado's traditional arts and craftsmanship, which gave me a deeper appreciation for the island's history and cultural heritage.
Visiting the beautiful temples and shrines, surrounded by peaceful forests and quiet villages, was another highlight. Life on Sado moves at a slower pace, allowing you to connect with nature and experience a side of Japan that many travelers never see.

GoEco were incredibly helpful throughout the whole experience and made me feel supported throughout my whole volunteering journey. They were also always so friendly and helped no matter the time or questions I had. The rescue center experience itself was one of the best things i’ve ever done and so grateful to have been able to experience the impact and passion Rescue Center Costa Rica has for the wellbeing of animals. Thank you!

This was a very authentic Japanese experience. I had a little bit of Japanese knowledge, but at times I felt like I needed more Japanese knowledge. I got to experience the rural Japanese country side and with it a slow, easy going pace. It was more laid back than expected. The food was wonderful and the staff were kind.

Volunteering with the Empower Women program in Nepal through GoEco was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I felt privileged to be given the opportunity to help women who were eager to learn and improve their futures. Every day, I had the chance to teach basic English skills while building genuine connections with the women in the program. Their enthusiasm, determination, and appreciation made every lesson enjoyable and meaningful.
I was also deeply grateful to the wonderful family who hosted me during my stay in Nepal. Opening their home to volunteers is an extraordinary act of generosity, and they made me feel like a member of their family from the moment I arrived. They were kind, caring, and always attentive to my needs, ensuring that I was comfortable, safe, and well looked after throughout my stay.

Visiting Sado Island, an island off the coast of the Japanese Alps region, would never have been on our radar if not for GoEco. The expedition let us experience a facet of rural Japanese life that was genuine and wholesome, far from everything else we did on our three months trip where we were often forced to be « funnelled » toward touristy well-worn tracks. The organisation is serious, obviously cares for its participants and for the local population, and the staff is helpful, knowledgeable and flexible (thanks to Rosie and Jeanne!). We went with two children aged 8 and 10, and they both easily found their place.

I have done 3 volunteer experiences with GoEco during my year off of working. All have been well organized once in a lifetime adventures working with wildlife in Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Australia. I have also volunteered using similar companies, but I have had the best experiences with GoEco. Highly recommended.

I loved the experience! Volunteering in Fiji was wonderful. Nothing beats the people, the culture and the breathtaking nature. I would recommend it even though it was a bit expensive. GoEco was a big help when it came to preparing for the trip. The best part: they were always one call away.

GoEco did a great job running the logistics for my wildlife sanctuary program. They expedited all the paperwork and onboarding so I could join the program at short notice. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating with our different time zones and things were professionally handled. I adored my wildlife program and would gladly return.

This program was incredible from start to finish. From the moment we arrived on the island we knew it was going to be an amazing week. Captain, dive crew, and island staff were all great to work with. Diving on Belize's barrier reef over the week was one awe-inspiring experience after another. Our cohort that week was all ages and it turned out to be a very social week of sharing meals, responsibilities and experiences; it's a great program for families and all ages — we're already looking forward to going back.

From the very first phone calls I trusted GoEco and believed in my gut feelings. No question was too small, and as many questions as I needed was not a burden! I was guided flawlessly through each procedure, by friendly kind voices. Upon landing in Livingstone, by myself on Easter Sunday,I was greeted with warm and smiling faces, to make me feel right at home. The 2 weeks that followed got better each day! And I wish I had stayed longer. Rueben, Mulenga, and Barbara are so smart and full of energy it is contagious!! I thank them for including the volunteers into their culture. I have learned so much about the people, the ordinary local wonderful people that live in Zambia. Has I been younger I for sure would have moved to livingstone for a while. The children have grabbed a piece of my heart💜

I did the volunteer program at Cango wildlife and the rhino camp wild. Both experiences were amazing, so much interaction with animals and everyone was super nice. You definitely put in some work, but the reward is being able to come up close to animals.
