I have always loved exploring the underwater world, but I felt limited in what I could do and wasn’t able to progress any further on my own. By doing this course I quickly realised that my “techniques” were all wrong and in a weekend I learnt to relax, to be comfortable at depths and even managed to reach 20m.
The instructors were all very competent, patient and friendly. Overall it was a great weekend and I would highly recommend this course.

A great weekend, a relaxed and friendly team that led me to achieve far more than I expected.

Excellent course where all the staff involved were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It made for a really enjoyable weekend that left me wanting for more free-diving. Highly recommended.

Would recommend highly. A fantastic group of instructors and a well organised freediving course in a very exciting location. I got more out of the course than I could have hoped for. I've been with other freediving courses abroad and this was much more professional and fun. I took a lot away from this course.

I read frediving could improve your breathing .i watched your videos on breathing which worked wonders for my gas consumption as a scuba divemasters so i wanted to do the course.
The benefits of the course is the breathing, relaxing, yoga and i think it improves your fitness. your staff taught by you are wonderful and you can have a good laugh with them.
i would recommend this course 100%. it has to be safe and you have got to have total faith in your instructors. you know that if an issue kicks in they are going to be able to cope the level of instruction is very thorough-especially for people who have never done this before.. I am really impressed with your operation the safety of your staff.

I wanted to do the advanced course for the knowledge and ability to try and go further and deeper. I have been in the sea snorkeling most of my life, I am not a spear fisherman but I just love being in the water and I think freediving has a competitive edge to it making you want to try dive deeper all the time.
The benefits of the course is having a better knowledge of all the items, I did a 2 star AIDA course about 3-4 years ago and most of the time has been in a pool so it so it just bringing all of that stuff to the fore again but also understanding it all a little bit more technically from a body perspective – what actually happens. And then spending more time in the water because I don’t get the opportunity very often and on a course you have to spend the time in the water. Having the instructor in the water with you picking up on things that you can improve on, even if they are small things, they make it so much easier.
I have achieved all I came here to do, the company and the instructors have been good and very patient and have the knowledge and ability to help and direct when needed. When you have a positive environment it becomes a lot easier and the patience and the positive attitude of the instructors has been has been great, the balance between seriousness and fun is perfect to make it more enjoyable.
More knowledge, more confidence and more experience are the three main benefits of the advanced course. I would recommend that anyone wanting to do the advanced course join a club day to acclimate themselves before doing the course, especially if it has been long since they were last in the water.
I would recommend it because as with anything you do, the more knowledge you have the more confidence you have.

I like snorkelling and freediving, but got stuck at a certain level and realised I was doing everything wrong when I took this course. So it was really worth taking this course which was greatly instructed. Initially I thought it would be nice to be doing it somewhere warmer, but actually the weather here in summer is beautiful

Excellent experience on the Try Freediving course with Emma! Loved every minute of it and will certainly be looking at joining Go Freediving again in the near future. Emma is a great teacher and the rest of the team were very welcoming!
Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to try some Freediving!

I would recommend Go Freediving to anybody looking to begin or further their freediving adventures, fanstastic courses on offers and clearly run by people passionate about their endeavours and knowledgeable in their teachings. I very much look forward to continuing my own freediving journey and would go Go Freediving again, hands down!

The organisation, locations and range of skills covered are all spot on but what really stands out is the quality of the instructors - a rare combination of calm, thoughtfulness and patience. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the weekend.

Emma and her team are amazing. I recently did my Try Freediving course and loved every minute of it. It is great to know that you are being taught by some of the best in the country and that your safety is their top priority. Emma completely reframed what I thought freediving was about. I will definitely be going onto the next level.

I would recommend this course because it is fun. Because most people just go to work and do their stuff like I do, but this weekend I didn’t think about work at all, not my creative work either. So you turn off everything that is just furniture in your life, you get rid of those things, so it is you and your equipment and the water.

I took a course with David and loved it. I have a bit of a connection with Vobster Quay. I would see Emma come here and the courses she would run. I found out about her book and her big reputation as a freediver and it seemed like an obvious choice for me.
David was a brilliant instructor for me and I would say that was the best thing about this course.
The benefits of this course for me are; location – Vobster Quay is a great place to learn – a good environment to learn in, and I’d have to say Dave again. A good instructor – that was a major benefit.
I would absolutely recommend this course. I think the lead up to the course materials was good, the training environment in Glebe House was good, the open water training environment was good and I couldn’t really fault it.

I went along to the 'Try Freediving' course and thoroughly enjoyed it! It has been something I have been wanting to do for a long time and as scuba diver and underwater photographer, free diving is something that I would hope would allow me to get a similar experience but with minimal additional kit. I was slightly tentative because of a medical condition but Emma is great, thoroughly understood and was really encouraging in a truly authentic way. We went through a number of exercises and by the end of the experience, I had managed to hold my breath for far longer than I ever thought was possible and was swimming lengths without surfacing. At the beginning of the course, Emma shows champion free divers from the different disciplines and emphasises that anyone can do this and that you shouldn't dismiss anyone based on any preconceptions of who will be good at it and who won't. I will be hoping to go on to do the weekend course and join the club this year.

I wanted to spend a lot of time freediving because normally I only get the chance to practice one or two times a year so it is nice to be able to spend the whole week diving a couple of times a day.
I chose you because obviously you are the best instructor in the UK, I knew that the diving would be absolutely safe and well organised and I knew it would be very relaxing.
I’ve learned how to fin better – it’s definitely improved. I’ve not really pushed myself on any depth but that wasn’t really what I wanted to achieve, it was about becoming more comfortable in the water and just a few technique improvements.
It was good to be able to have lots of different opportunities to dive, different types of diving, so you could go depth, reefs, snorkeling, wrecks – lots of variety. There were great buddies, lots of different buddies to dive with so you get to see different styles.
The benefits of this holiday are improving technique, relaxing and making new friends.
It’s been great and would recommend this holiday for all reasons I’ve mentioned. Anyone who wants to freedive it is a great opportunity to get in the water and see some really cool stuff.

Amazing experience :) I hope to utilise my qualification and commit to the sport even more in the new year, including a trip abroad!
Excellent team of instructors who are all very helpful, knowledgeable and supportive.
Regular pool sessions available and seasonal open water too.
Truly incredible what the body is capable of, so long as the mind permits it!
Many thanks to Emma and the team for their patience and encouragement :)

Went free diving with Emma and her team in the red sea... an amazing experience with totally professional instructors which gave me a good sense of security. As a total novice managed to go down to 19.6 m. Thanks Emma
