Assisted by Ben in the quest for new walking boots, he was patient and knowledgeable. This is a great store and a real boost to Barnstaple

I recently visited GO Outdoors and unfortunately had a disappointing experience at the checkout. The cashier, named Kacey, came across as dismissive and uninterested in helping. When I asked a couple of simple questions about my purchase, I received short, unhelpful responses and no eye contact. It felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer.

I left the store feeling quite frustrated — especially because every other staff member I’ve encountered at GO Outdoors has been friendly and knowledgeable. Customer service makes a huge difference, and I really hope training or feedback is provided so future customers feel welcomed and supported.

Fabulous choice of great quality gear. I was buying new walking/hiking shoes today and had to get it right.

Thankfully I had the patience and expertise of Ben to steer me through (Barnstaple branch). Exceptionally helpful and I walked away today very grateful and happy with my purchases.

The only issue was that there was a limited choice in my size.

Excellent service from both Ben and Kevin. No pressure sales and some local knowledge given which was useful to know, even for locals.

Great shop, very clean and tidy. good range of products at good prices. Bought a pair of Merrell boots with some fantastic help from Ben. Have been a customer of Go Outdoors for years ,very pleased they now have a shop local to me.

I went to purchase some walking shoes and was greeted by BEN who offered me help in choosing the right pair. He was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble when I asked to try lots of different pairs. Many thanks Ben

The store well layer out and a good variety of product.
The YouTube man,Gabriel who sorted our membership was very helpfully and very efficient and polite. Excellent staff makes shoppers more likely to return and we will be to buy presents before Christmas.

We popped into store around 7pm, the team on duty were all helpful and friendly. Gabriel was knowledgeable and helped 12 year son pick the right walking boots for his Scout camp at the end of October. Thank you for making it easy to get everything we needed.

Ashleigh and Simona went above and beyond to find the right sized boot that I req'd. As I am such a large sized foot, they searched the entire stock to find the boots.

I went along yesterday to look for some walking shoes. Ben was very helpful and patient. I was surprised that I had two options that worked for my feet. Came away with a pair and am out walking today. Thank you Ben

Took so long for staff to get the correct price.
We visited the store to get a refill for our flogas bottle.
The staff could not get the correct price, barcodes on their list were not giving us a refill price, only a new bottle. Spent approximately 15 minutes waiting whilst different staff tried to get correct price at the till. Staff obviously need further training. Only visited store as we were away on holiday and this was are nearest store, doubt we will visit again unless necessary.

Simona was polite and cheerful on the checkout. She helped with discount card and talked through options.

Connor assisted us in chosing the right footwear. He was very knowledgeable about the products available
