Great store, and Lynda in footwear was extremely helpful... Couldn't do enough, and very friendly.

Carol went above and beyond for us when we had an issue with some water bottles and replacement straws. She did not have to help us in the way that she did, but we were truly incredibly lucky and grateful for Carol's generosity and helpfulness. We were already frequent customers of Go Outdoors however this interaction will most certainly keep us coming back and compelled me to write a review. Thank you Carol, from the bottom of our hearts. We have two very happy little girls thanks to you.

Brilliant experience at Go outdoors Basingstoke today. Due to the friendly knowledgeable help of both Lynda and Nu. Their help today was invaluable in selecting the right footwear and clothing for our forthcoming holiday.

Sophie gave the most incredible service in the Naylors section when trying to source the best riding boots for my son. She was incredibly patient, personable and knowledgable. She is a real asset to the store.

Excellent shop in ideal location. Plenty of parking. Great choice of clothing. Staff all so friendly.

Had a great visit on Saturday! Was served by Aaron Mills in the fishing section, and he gave super helpful advice about the products. Went above and beyond to help us with efficient and friendly service. Fantastic knowledge and attitude- a real credit to the team. Thank you Aaron!

I went into store to purchase a bike. I knew which one I wanted before visiting. I thought I'd need a medium frame bike but actually it was a large frame I needed. Now if I'd gone in and a youngster was serving I would of probably come away with the wrong size bike. But thanks to Terry who runs the bike department. I had the best advice and help. Terry was professional whilst also being friendly and so full of great advice and tips. I came away feeling like a valued customer and more importantly I came away with the right bike!! So if your looking for a bike at Go Outdoors then I'd go to the Basingstoke store and ask for Terry. He's an avid bike rider so knows his stuff. So you will always come away with the right bike for you.

Sian was so helpful, we needed some advice on the Yeti ice packs and she was amazing so 5 stars to Sian and thank you.

Overall, product good but let down by computer system that did not allow me to order an item from store or told me when it was ready for pick up.

When in the store I asked if I could order a product as they didn't have my size but I was told they could not due to a new computer system they were using.
I manage to order it from the website (after resolving an issue with my membership not showing discount). I received no email stating that the item was in store for pickup, I just luckily checked to see if it was in transit etc and saw it was waiting for pickup. No idea how long for and when I asked in store, they said it was again down to the new computer system.

I was after certain items for a up and coming trip and half the stuff on my list I didn’t know what they really where
Sophie was brilliant talked me through all the items and showed me the ranges they had and gave me advice on which was best for my trip!

I was truly appalled by the standard of ALL staff in Basingstoke. Two females near the shoe area who spent over 20 minutes talking about there social lives, it must be added, they were over 10 meters apart, everyone got to hear, including all the customers who could have needed help. I went into the store the day before and tried an item on, the same coat hanger was still hanging in the changing room. The tills. Two females, serving customers chewing gum. Is that the standard the management are aiming for? There were two more females, possibly management, chatting by the entrance, not monitoring the tills or other staff. This is horrifyingly poor customer service.

I needed help to get an excitable 7 year old ready for his first Beavers camp, and the team at Go Outdoors Basingstoke were a phenomenal help.

Firstly, Kai gave some great advice on selecting a good mid-range tent that would be easy to set up without breaking the bank. We settled on a Jackal 3, but might upgrade to a Berghaus if my son sticks with it.

Secondly, Charlotte helped with finding a great value bed and stool, the latter of which my son has loved using all week before camp!

And finally, Sophie was awesome at the checkout. She made sure we had everything we needed and expertly loaded it all into one of your giant reusable bags. We saved a bundle by getting the membership, and even more by showing off his Scout group necker!

Thank you so much for making it all easy. You turned a stressful Saturday morning into a nicely chilled afternoon. Cheers!

Excellent store to purchase outdoor gears. I was there to buy walking boots. The staff (Paul, Lynda) very engaging and helpful. Great experience of shopping there. Will visit again. 🙏.
