Amazing service at Go Outdoors Express Chester. Steve C was so kind and helful, listening to my foot problems and then finding and bringing out boots and shoes on several sizes for me to try and suggesting mens footwear for extra width. He spent a long time with me and nothing was too much trouble. From childhood I have had difficulty buying footwear but this was a very positive exoerience. Thank you.

Abi and Ethan were so helpful I went in looking for boot laces.i walk with crutches and Ethan went upstairs and got a selection for me to choose from thank you both so much

I had 2 great staff members help me on a number of visits.
The first set of visits were enquiries about products within store that I was curious about, but I needed more understanding and to see visually what I wanted.
There was one man in particular who catered to my needs in store who has helped me each time.

When I was content on what I wanted, I took another visit and received the help from Steve C who not only helped me with questions, but sorted me out with a members card & helped me fit the product. He adjusted to my size and needs & taught me about correct positioning for what I had purchased.

All of the staff were inviting, friendly and I left feeling accomplished in what I set out for!

I wanted trecking boots for climbing a mountain in Ireland and Paul said he had climbed the mountain. He was very pleasant professional helpful and knowledgeable . He gave me so much advice and help way beyond anything I would have expected and I came away with boots and trousers for my climb.All the staff were so pleasant and helpful what a joy to shop in this store Sincere Thanks Catherine Kielty

Went in to buy a new microlight jacket. The shop assistant was very helpful. Though I did buy the most expensive one in the end - quality vs cost!!!

Visited the store on Friday 17th January looking to buy walking boots and a weather proof jacket. Found Jacket I wanted and was served by Tracey who had to order the jacket for delivery, also asked about price match and received 20%off as other store was selling with that discount. Then bought walking boots and had great help from Steve C & Paul to which I received good advice about boots and also received 20%off due to price match plus a further 10% off, all in all saved around £50 and had great help from the 3 staff members,will be visiting again when needed highly recommend this store.

Staff at the Go Outdoors Express store in Chester city centre are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the outdoor gear they sell. A few years ago Go Outdoors only seemed to sell the lower end family friendly budget outdoor gear. Now they also have a good range of serious higher spec outdoor kit for all day mountain adventures, even if its raining all day ( Rab, Berghaus, North Face, Mountain Equipment etc) which makes them wet worth a visit for me. Prices very competitive too.

I was looking for a pair of vortex shoes. Went to Go Outdoors and saw that the lift wasn't working. As I was (visible) having difficulty walking, I was just about to walk out.

However Paul came over to me and asked if he could help. I told him what I needed and he was amazing.

He brought me a camping chair to sit on, took my shoes off and put the new shoes on me. He told me to have a gentle walk around, that there was no rush. He went up and downstairs to try get a couple of pairs and again helped me and said there was no rush but I had to feel comfortable.

Paul was incredible, he really went over and above with his customer service. He really does deserve recognition.

Tracey was a huge support in the Chester branch. My partner and I were looking to buy a few things and she was so supportive and very approachable. My partner suffers terribly with anxiety but Tracey put him straight at ease and offered to store some items at the till for us and even let us both use the changing rooms.

My wife and I where both looking for Merrell walking shoes as our old pairs which we have had for quite a few years where looking a bit worn, we went to Go outdoors and Steve C helped us choose new pairs, thanks Steve for your help 👍
