Great service from two young lads on footwear, very helpful and polite

After our first night of camping, we unfortunately experienced a leak in our tent. We visited this store for advice and were fortunate to meet Phil, the manager. Phil provided exceptional customer service and demonstrated impressive knowledge of tents and waterproofing products. Thanks to his help, our tent issue was resolved, allowing us to continue our trip and enjoy the rest of our holiday.

Phil is a great role model for his team, which is evident in the professional and attentive way they also engage with customers. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for outstanding customer service

After a day from hell with our tent breaking with awful wind. Our day was soon made so much better by Phil at Porthmadog. We had picked an air tent up, which we’ve never had before. Phil gave us so much advice on the tent and how it works, giving us lots of useful information which we definitely needed and made us feel much more confident putting the tent up. Phil even went out of the way to show us how the tent should be put up properly and show us all the really important parts of the tent. Thank you so much Phil, you’re a star!

Great store, staff not pushy but were immediately available to give advice and explain things.

Due to their advice I was able to get exactly what I needed, I went in for two items but came out with three 😆and due also to their advice was able to save money.

I've been using the Porthmadog store for many years now for everything from tents and camping equipment to clothing and always been pleased with my purchases, good prices, it's always clean and tidy, but most important, the staff are always spot on.

A nice touch is that dogs are allowed in store.

Having traveled up from Hampshire, I found myself needing some bits as weather was really bad (hadn’t planed well 🙈)
I found this store to be fantastic! Well kept and everything you need, this store should definitely be used as a template for others that I have used in the past around Hampshire.
The staff were also very friendly, helpful and advised me to get the best clothing and equipment. Absolutely fantastic and a credit to the Go Outdoors brand.

I returned my boots with a problem and the staff at Porthmadog branch have gone the extra mile to sort me out , unlike the manufacturer who like many suppliers these days prefer to be uncontactable. Many thanks and see you again.

Fantastic Service

Staff were dismissive. When I asked for help from an assistant she started talking to her colleague in English but half way through switched to Welsh. What would you think was happening in that situation? You would think they were talking about you in a negative way. Totally unprofessional staff and I’m certain I wouldn’t use this store ever again.

Pretty good selection of outdoor wear, with a variety of prices and quality to suit most purses. Helpful friendly staff, who don’t ‘jump’ on you as looking round,
Alfie at the till was very helpful, as I hadn’t got my GoOutdoors card, and he had problems finding me, despite shopping with you about 6 months ago. He was able to sort it all out for me though, and quickly too - good memory!

Very good service from the crew.Went yesterday to get myself some hiking shoes but unsure with what option to go for.Luckily Alfie a staff member was very helpful and helped me pick a very good pair for my hikes , will be coming back more often
