Helpful staff, great selection & prices for members, thanks to Paul s for your help and advice and finding some bits I needed out the back that weren’t on the shelf

I was picking up a backpack and sleeping bag when Paul immediately offered advice based on gear he has trialled and errored. Really lovely bloke. Everyone needs Paul when buying gear and are a bit in the dark about choice. I wish I could ask him every time I’m in an outdoor shop

I needed some help and Paul F was able to assist me very quickly.

Paul F. was really helpful in explaining to us how to connect the cadac to our caravan. He gave us really useful advice and without it we would’ve ended up going to the Isle of Wight without working gas. Thank you Paul!

Ordering and paying for the bike was straight forward enough, I chose to get it delivered to store for click and collect. However my date for collection came and went with no email to say it was ready for collection. I phoned customer services who said it had been delivered to store 2 days after i'd ordered, so before the date I had been given to collect it. I phoned the store direct and they said it was showing as still in transit and they didn't have it. The next day I phoned customer services again who confirmed it definitely had been delivered to store, they then phoned the store themselves who then confirmed they had received the bike after all. The reason it was still showing as in transit is because they don't scan it in as delivered in store until it's been built and ready for collection. As there was a delay in bike builds by about 4-5 days it meant i'd have been waiting about another week for them to finally say it had been delivered. It would have been better for them to let me know they had the bike as soon as it was delivered to store but then say there was a delay in getting it built. At least then i'd know what was going on rather than wondering if my bike had somehow got lost in the delivery process. In the end I picked the bike up and built it myself, it was only the handlebars, front wheel and pedals to put on so pretty straight forward.

I love the bike & would probably use Go Outdoors again. I just think a bit more communication would have been helpful.

Popped in to buy a pair of chairs for our new motorhome and were helped by Paul F, nothing was too much trouble and he was very knowledgeable about the products, if Carlsberg did customer service.

Travelled from Poole for an item that according to your website, was apparently in stock. Only to arrive and find non of the items available. Paul F, went above and beyond to locate the item from a recent delivery. Excellent customer service.

The waterproof jacket was delivered on time and exactly as described. Very pleased, we haven't had any rain for me to test it properly yet!

Staff Member - Paul F. Paul was exceptional throughout. I came to look for replacement poles and wanted to talk to someone knowledgeable. He was busy with two others customers, but we waited for him. You could tell he knew what he was talking about. He found us the poles, told us how to replace them. Then he gave us a tour of 4 new tents we asked about. Top notch talent. A credit to your store.

Paul F was so helpful and answered all our question's and gave some great advice. Super happy helpful guy ☺️

Called in to look at pop up tents for children, Paul F was very helpful nothing was to much trouble for him i really appreciated his efforts.

Went in to buy a tent, no staff spoke to us. 50 minutes before close we where in a tent talking about size, a lad avoids us closing other tents at no point asking to help.

Staff very helpful when the order was collected from store, ordered online, then no contact no say it was ready for collection, had to phone to check on whereabouts of parcel, took over 9 days, not impressed!

Had everything we needed, reasonable value. Only issue was very busy and only 2 tills open so had a bit of a wait.

Have been trying to buy two chairs for months, they're not in stock so ordered them both for full price with the expectation to return them and then buy them again at members price as go outdoors doesn't amend orders or even pick up the phone. So far I've Managed to collect one of the chairs at full price, the second one was discounted after complaining, I went to pick up the second chair and sort the first but it turns out they had returned the chair due to it not being in stock again yet the manager did tell me they had the chair in stock but I'd have to buy that separately and then phone klarna and ask if they can cancel the payment to go outdoors... Something I've never had to do on a companies behalf before, I mean refusing to give me the second chair then telling me to phone klarna to cancel it literally made me feel as if i was going to have a stress induced epileptic seizure so needed to leave the store promptly after that, I would love to talk to someone to deal with this but the only way to get hold of them is when you complain on a third party website..

After several visits to Southampton Go Outdoors, we have been very impressed with Paul F’s knowledge, advice and customer service. We would highly recommend.

I had a main air tube burst in my tent. Tent still in warranty but apparently the most important part of an inflatable tent i.e. the air tubes were not covered. I called customer services and they were no help at all. Couldn’t even provide a part number so i could buy a replacement. Following this i decided id see if I could get some help in store. Luckily I met Paul who understood the problem and made it his mission to get me a replacement tube. Within two days he had sourced a tube for me. Paul was extremely knowledgeable about everything camping and was clearly passionate about his job and imho went well over and above to help me. I have never known such amazing customer service. This guy deserves so much more than a good review from me.

My order is still not ready for collection a week and a half after ordering despite it saying items in stock when purchasing. Website suggests 7 days maximum.
