The lady who served me Ceri was absolutely amazing so helpful

Darren was extremely helpful & patient while I tried several different types of running shoes. I am very pleased with my new shoes!

Janice and Jay were extremely kind and helpful assisting me with a large amount of stuff I purchased and my feral toddler! Such wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Recommend endlessly .

Darren served us and was absolutely brilliant. So helpful when it came to choosing the right walking boots for my daughter and teaching her how to tie them for properly.

Bought a tent from Go outdoors Swindon , first night of use the airpole deflated , re inflated it, failed again 4 times in one week, store would not fix or replace As the warranty doesn’t cover poles , told them we are returning item under statutory right as item not fit for purpose, they pumped up the tent pole and left it for 24 hours and claimed it stayed inflated bearing in mind it was not under camping conditions and the pole was not pitched up properly, but was basically fobbed off by the store , called customer care and they was just as unhelpful by claiming it was up to the store… atrocious customer care and I’m never going in there ever again and I recommend you don’t buy a tent from go outdoors as they SEEM to be very willing to sell faulty items and not honour their legal obligations

After posting on here Go outdoors gave me a full refund after their customer services contacted the store in question

I was welcomed coming into the Swindon Go Outdoors, which was refreshing. The checkout staff member was super helpful. My request was not straightforward, but she handled things most ably. I was most impressed with the service and the store in general.

I came on on a hot bank holiday Monday sue to an issue with a bivvy. Morgan greeted me on arrival and asked how he couls help. He swiftly dealt with my issue, took the broken Bivvy and went get a replacment ensuring a colleague was available to help at the till.
Poppy was apologetic, polite and very helpful in swiftly processing an exchange without quibble. Excellent customer service on both parts.

I wanted to leave a review after receiving some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in years from the team at GO Outdoors.

I originally went into store the day before looking at the Eurohike Rydal 600 air tent. Unfortunately, after dealing with one particularly unhelpful member of staff — including quite an embarrassing moment where my card declined and it was loudly announced across the tills — I decided to just go home and order the tent online instead.

When I returned the next day to collect my order, I met Tom and a female manager whose name I sadly can’t remember, and the experience could not have been more different.

The issue was that online only the Rydal 500 was available despite it being the exact same price as the Rydal 600 I had originally wanted. After explaining the situation, Tom immediately grabbed one of the heavy Rydal 600 tents and headed straight over to the tills to see what he could do to help.

Things then became even more complicated because it involved an online order alongside an in-store payment, and we also discovered I had multiple GO Outdoors accounts linked to different addresses from moving house over the years. My newest account also hadn’t fully activated in store yet because it had only just been created online.

Despite all of this, both Tom and the female manager were absolutely fantastic. They were patient, understanding, friendly and genuinely determined to sort everything out for me. Nothing felt like too much trouble. Tom even carried the tent around every time it needed moving rather than expecting me to struggle with it — and those tents are massive!

In the end, they managed to get everything sorted and I left with the correct tent feeling extremely happy with the experience. The level of customer service they provided was genuinely outstanding and completely turned around what had started as quite a stressful and embarrassing experience the day before.

A huge thank you to Tom and the female manager who helped me — I’m really sorry I can’t remember your name, but you both deserve recognition for how kind, helpful and professional you were throughout.

We were served by Julie at Naylor’s, she went above and beyond, was so kind and helpful.

Great help getting the right shoe fitting and getting the summer holiday gear squared away. Well done Team!

Staff member was polite and efficient

Brilliant service from Julie in the Naylor’s part of the Swindon store helping me find the correct size of riding helmet.

We went to Swindon branch to look at the tents as we were thinking of starting up camping.
With the help from Rob who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and Jay who was also very helpful we walked out with everything we needed for our first camping experience.
We will definitely be going back again if we need anything else.

Ordered at home ready next morning

Went in needing a couple of rugs for the horses. Julie was so helpful and engaging and let us take one rug out of the bag to gauge by eye the fit. It was nice to talk with someone knowledgeable on all things horse as she has her own. She is really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great member of staff. Thanks very much.
