Business as usual for GOS with the C19…

Business as usual for GOS with the C19 lockdown they are as efficient and professional as ever. Wednesday my hot water failed to heat up right in the middle of a major spring clean... the last thing I needed, I was so stressed. I thought I would need a new boiler, something I just do not need !   
Rang G.O.S, Preston, Lancs the professionals Thursday p.m. after much wasted time trying to relight the pilot light and Mrs Jackson booked me in Friday a.m.
Chris, the engineer took precautions and insisted we social distance from each other. He kept me informed and explained what he thought the problem was and updated me throughout the visit.
He gets top from marks from me for politeness, professionalism, and respectfully understanding my current predicament.
Boiler and hot water all up and running now; I am immensely grateful to the company and their invaluable service in these trying times. They are right up there as top key workers, and emergency services.
Thank you Chris, and G.O.S.
I can say no wrong about this Family Run Business serving the community for over 50 years I believe. Also check reviews on checkatrade they are all positive.

Prompt Efficient Service, Highly Recommended.

Prompt Efficient Service, and two lads who did the installation work were great. Well mannered, and extremely tidy workers.
Job survey and quote were done on the same day. Installation engineers also discovered a serious fault on the boiler which had been missed or ignored by Booths heating.

Extortionate labour costs!

My ancient central heating oil boiler had corroded and was leaking water and needed replacing ASAP. GOS heating came out rapidly to assess and gave me a total price for the work to be done and if I signed now they would get the ball rolling.I was desperate to get the work done so duly signed.Big mistake,I should have got at least another two costings.
When my invoice arrived after the work was completed it wasn't itemised so I requested an itemised invoice showing the costs of materials used and the cost of labour and VAT.Standard business practice.
Their reply showed that I was being billed a staggering £1400 for 1 and half days work by one heating technician and his apprentice.! On querying this huge labour cost I was told in a D Turpin style , 'you signed the contract so put up ,shut up and pay up! '
I would strongly advise you get an itemised contract before you sign anything.
