i enjoyed my York easter break with Go…

i enjoyed my York easter break with Go singles made some great friends. Our rep Garry was super funny, there were around 25 of us everyone got on very well and no we are planning to go on the Crotia cruse in September as a whole group

Never again will I use go singles.

I decided to use go singles as I wanted some comfort knowing I would be with other like minded people. I booked to go to Egypt last week in March. I got my e ticket which had another persons name on as well as my own. I had a very stressful 18 months which included 3 bereavements, 2 family members and a close friend. So I was really looking for a much needed stress free holiday. Why I got was far from that. Not met by a go singles rep at the airport but someone from fun trip. Taken to the Swiss Inn NOT the Desert Rose. There was only myself and another gentleman we felt we were missing out on the experience of the group. We got put into the Desert Rose Tuesday afternoon my room was sub standard was moved to another room. So a full day lost. I got badly bitten on the Tuesday night in my room. And the saga continues. Too long to you’d think I’d made it up.

Great experience with trip to Portugal

To be honest, there were no hidden extras with GoSingles, unlike other companies. Excellent value for money!! If you are looking for a reasonably priced solo holiday with good company I would recommend GoSingles.

River Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan

Excellent arrangements for flights. Met by the Egyptian Travel company in the corridor as I came off the plane who helped me through Visa application and purchase and immigration (More than I expected).
Then took bags to minibus waiting ready and met fellow 4 other singles. Became great friends during the week.
First night hotel in Hurghada was excellent and then the transfer through the dessert to the ship the following morning was very straight forward. There we met our so knowledgeable and helpful guide who was with us during the week.
The ship was most comfortable with a great bed and excellent food; also a superb sun deck with a first class pool, sun heated. The ships furnishings were very probably stylish in 1990s' but not quite the same finish as modern European River cruisers.
We then saw so much of the temples and architecture of ancient Egypt and it was stunning and so enjoyable and reasonably energetic at times.
In addition when we reached Aswan we took a land trip with our usual driver and guide to the Abu Simbal site. A long drive and the only extra tour cost of the tour but it was worth every penny.
Some people may be worried about their safety but the strict security measures that are in place throughout the country were very good and I felt safe and secure at all times.
A holiday of a lifetime. Thank you so much GoSingles and your Egyptian partner travel company

I had the most amazing two weeks in…

I had the most amazing two weeks in Egypt with GoSingles. There were 16 of us on the holiday 10 ladies & 6 men, all first-time single travellers, not known to each other but after 2 days of holidaying together we all felt that we have known each others for years. Nile cruise boat was fantastic, our guides were so knowledgeable in Egyptian history, delicious food on the boat, everything went smoothly and perfect. We all planning to travel with Gosingles to Crete in Sept 2023 which we heard is a great holiday, I had a fabulous holiday with great bunch of people, thanks to GoSingles for bringing us together.

GoSingles Tenerife

Recently came home from a trip to Tenerife for my birthday, the facilities in the hotel were great and exceed my expectations. The rep, Susie, was very helpful, introducing us to the locals and showing us the best pubs in the old town. Definitely recommend going with Gosingles.

I took a Nile Cruise followed by 1week…

I took a Nile Cruise followed by 1week stay at the Desert Rose Resort.
Gosingles are Dishonest and misleading. I CANNOT SEE THST THEY SRE ABTA MEMBERS. BEWARE!!!°
The ship lacked many facilities mentioned in their ad. Water and tea were exspensive extras which other groups had included even though they had paid less for their trip.
The desert rose resort is an egypt 5 star rating not UK. IT IS NOT FULLY INCLUSIVE. You can "upgrade" for an additional daily fee but even then you still have to pay $4 for a juice or to eat at the italian restaurant. You can only eat once at the A La Carte restaurants, which were fully booked for 5 of our 7 nights.
We were constantly hassled to buy spa, sport or trips. They have not responded to my complaint so I will now start proceedings with the small claims court. AVOID
In response to your reply. I HAVE NEVER USED GO SINGLES BEFORE. Is this more lies or more incompetence?

We note that you have been on our holidays in the past and seems to have enjoyed it, obviously that’s the reason you have booked with us again.

We are sorry on this occasion holiday didn’t meet with our expectation. Your Nile cruise package was based on full board basis without drinks so naturally you are expected to pay for drinks and other extras.

In Desert Rose Resort in Hurghada, your meals are served in Buffet restaurant as part of all-inclusive package and one dinner at A la Carte restaurant free of charge during your stay. If you would like to dine at A la carte restaurant more than one occasion then you must pre book and pay a supplement, its quite common all incluisve resorts in Egypt.

It’s disappointing to see that you have taken the opportunity to post a misleading review and also on our ATOL / ABTA membership when you are fully aware that our holidays are fully protected by ATOL.

Poor customer service and no rep as promised

Poor customer service from Go Singles - had to chase for my ticket, flight times changed and was not informed, they told me I was flying from Heathrow after I had booked and paid for Gatwick, promised call back to discuss and still waiting.
Only 2 of us on the holiday and was not informed.
No rep at hotel as promised.
I wouldn't trust them again with a holiday.

Our package to Rhodes is incluisve of Gatwick flight and we note that you have flown from Gatwick with Easy Jet.

Not worth the cost!

I was very disappointed with most aspects of this holiday.
The advertised hotel had been closed down for 2 years, we were not told of the change at all! The hotel provided (unlike the advertised one) did not have an outside swimming pool with loungers, which was one of the reasons I booked it.
There was only 5 people on the trip.
The food was very basic and tasteless.
There was no representative at the hotel as advertised. Only the guide to inform us about the 2 excursions provided.
We incurred a lot of extra expenses booking other trips for something to do and eating out as the hotel food was so bad.
Overall, very poor value! The price it cost was not reflected by the holiday experience. I could have booked it myself for half the price.

Never again!!!

I will never book with this company again! The hotel advertised had been closed for 2 years - we weren't notified of a hotel change until we reached our destination. Although clean the hotel food was awful (food not served from their main menu) - it seemed like we were served the cheapest option possible. I had paid for breakfast & dinner but ate out most of the time so spent extra money. There was also no Gosingles rep at the hotel and they confirmed 8 people were booked onto the holiday when there was only really 5. Vert disappointed and underwhelmed!
I have since learnt that this company used to be called Solitaire. Name changed because of bad reviews? Wonder if it will happen again....
They just take your money & don't seem to really care about your holiday. Atrocious service!

Eventually received a response to complaint 3 months later saying they are reviewing credibility of review - load of rubbish - the "series" of reviews were not posted by one individual but by different people on the same rubbish holiday!!

Rogue Company - hotel had been closed for over 2 yrs

This is a rogue/cowboy company. I believe the owner used to own Solitaire a few years ago which is why they quote the many years of experience! I am going to report them to Trading standards/Consumer Line.
1. HOTEL CLOSED & DERELICT - The hotel 'President' advertised on the website has been permanently closed for over 2 years ago! I only booked in September and they said nothing about this to me. We saw the hotel, locked up and overgrown.
2. HOTEL WE WERE PUT IN WAS POOR - We were just taken to Hotel Ambrosiano and dumped by the taxi driver, (we thought he was the Go Singles rep) at this hotel with 4 stars over the sign but this was not a 4*. The food was utterly appalling.
3. THEY LIED ABOUT GUEST NUMBERS ON THE HOLIDAY - Go Singles told us all individually when booking that there were 8 people on the holiday... there were 5! This matters to people on this type of holiday. I only booked 4 weeks prior to departure and was therefore the fifth (!) to book.
4. THEY LIED ABOUT A HOLIDAY REP - The brochure stated a 'dedicated Go Singles host at the hotel' ... there was no one. An envelope handed to each of us on arrival stated 'your representative Emiliano will meet you at the hotel for your welcome meeting on 19.10.22 at 5.30pm'. He turned up to collect money for an additional optional trip if we wanted to go to Sienna (Euros 165 each) the next day and said he was just the tour guide for the tours. He threw his hands in the air and said he wasn't the Go Singles rep and that it was nothing to do with him!
5. WE HAD TO SORT ALL EXTRA EXCURSIONS OURSELVES - That same envelope said, 'we offer you a programme of interesting options' ...We had to sort out everything ourselves, thankfully the hotel owner was helpful and booked some excursions for us.
The 'Hotel President' advertised by Go Singles had lovely pictures of an outside pool, the one we were put in had a tiny court yard of benches and tables as it was a city centre hotel and an 'indoor pool' which wasn't an ordinary indoor swimming pool, as it was a 'spa pool', shallow and old fashioned and looked awful. No one used it and you had to pay for a towel and robe to use it. This company is clearly run by people who just want your money. They don't care what they offer, they’re not interested in repeat business and fulfilling their side of the contract, otherwise they wouldn't tell these lies. They did the same when they were Solitaire... i didn't know when I booked, that it was the same person but they lied to me then as well about numbers and then cancelled the holiday a week before to Ischia.
Go Singles reply below is 3 months after I posted the review, and its obviously not for my benefit but for the benefit of Barclaycard as a credit giver. They wrote their disinterested reply to my complaint letter last year. They have stated in this reply on Trustpilot that my review is false, this is because they do not like my review (!) and because I provided overwhelming evidence to Barclaycard who acted in my favour. Yes of course Solitair and Go Singles are separate companies; Solitaire was liquidated with one of the directors stated as Anish Nambiar and Go Singles was created with the same director Anish Nambiar …as per Companies House published information! You state that you note from your records that an e mail was sent about the change in hotel. No such e mail was received because no such e mail was sent and no such e mail was received by any of the other 4 people on the holiday either! There was no renovation of the hotel as you state, I sent you photos of the dilapidated Hotel President which showed a chain on the metal fence and a sign saying in Italian ‘FOR RENT’. Either Emiliano is lying about his role or you are, so either he is fooling you about what he offers and taking your cash under false pretences, or you are trying to fool us and taking our cash… if you look at the other two holiday makers’ complaints here on Trustpilot, you are clearly calling all of us liars!! I don’t believe for one moment that you paid him to be the Go Singles representative.

Shocking experience with 2 holidays…

**Avoid at all costs**

Shocking experience with 2 holidays cancelled back to back. Last one alledgedly due to cancelled flights, but no evidence provided despite numerous requests. Used to be known as Solitair holidays, check out their reviews and keep well clear of the liars.I rebooted a similar holiday with Friendship holidays which went ahead on the same flights gosingles claimed were cancelled. Jokers and liars.

Gosingles have complained about my review, happy to see you clowns in court. I have the emails and evidence that the flights were NOT cancelled. Is there any reason that you ignored my Subject Access reviews for evidence of cancelled flight?!

Update 15/07/25; even though I have never opted into marketing mails the puppets keep sending spam. I have complained and still receive them. DO NOT GIVE YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS.

Am still waiting to be taken to court, or withdrawer your complaint!

If anyone is doing their homework before travelling, also check out solitaire singles holidays, same directors but went bust with deposits kept...

I have just come back from my first…

I have just come back from my first holiday with GoSingles in Santa Ponsa, Palma di Mallorca. The hotel was excellent in every respect, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was very near the beach, shops, restaurants and bars. We were a small group and we all got on very well... i now have some new friends. I had great assistance from the GoSingles staff while booking my holiday and I would definately use them again for my holidays. Cant find any fault with them.

Communication is beyond poor

Back in June 2022 i had booked a holiday to Kos departing on the 30th August 2022. The booking was straight forward and easy enough. I received an invoice and confirmation but had to email them requesting the ATOL certificate. On the 15th August (two wks before departure) i emailed them requesting the tickets as i hadnt had anything. On the 16th i missed their phone calls and sent them an email to which they did respond saying the flights had been cancelled and for me to choose an alternative holiday. I dont know at what point they would have let me know the holiday was no longer happening. 'If' the flights had been cancelled they would have known weeks ago. Two weeks before departure is very short notice. Im gutted, and desperately trying to now get something else in place

First solo holiday

I booked online for my holiday and although the flight times were changed without discussion with me, everything else went as planned. The all inclusive deal at the hotel was good for the money paid and the hotel location and facilities were as promised. The local rep was very helpful too. The free excursion was good to orientate us to the area.
I chose GoSingles as it seemed to offer better value for money than other companies. As a result ,I really enjoyed my first solo jaunt and would not hesitate to book with this company again.

I only rate this as 1 star because no star was not an option. I booked my holiday to Egypt for Christmas 2021, only to be called to be informed that the trip was cancelled because of low numbers. After exploring alternative options with the representative I told them that I wouldn't persue those options and asked for my money back, not vouchers as is my right and entitlement under the Package Travel Directive. I was told that I had made another booking and was not entitled to a refund. I had not and it was Go Singles who had contacted me to cancel my holiday!!

Their behaviour has been completely unethical and unprofessional. To this date 6 months later I have had no refund and they have failed to respond to my last three emails.

No not trust this company!

Fantastic Company and Great holiday

My holiday to Tenerife with GoSingles was Brilliantly organised, our rep Sophia was so helpful, I forgotten my Jacket in the transfer shuttle and she bought it to the hotel few hours of calling her to say I had left it behind. All inclusive was excellent value with quality drinks and food with evening entertainment. GoSingles organised Dolphin cruise is a must day out and we were lucky to spot few Dolphins. All in all great value holiday and a good company to go on singles holiday.

I have done 3 tours with Go Singles and have just booked my 4th. I find them good value for money, friendly tour guides, well planned itinerary…

If you’re thinking of taking your first solo holiday, this is the company to go with.
