I think this is an extra rad auction…

I think this is an extra rad auction site to buy great items, the ONLY thing I wish they would change is the way they charge for shipping if you already have a item coming I don’t think it’s right that they charge more than once for shipping. That’s how I feel 👍👍

Deceptive Practices

A few things:

First, be aware that the price listed for land purchases will not reflect the actual cost. To me, the listings are deceptive by design and intentional in terms of omissions.

Specifically, I bid on a piece of land. The listing said, "your winning bid is for the down payment and the is subtracted from the price of $8,929 you then make monthly installment payments at $159/month at 12% interest. There is a buyer's premium of 17.5% on your down payment amount only and a low $249 closing cost."

The contract I received after successfuly bidding was $4,195.51 more than listed and labeled as "interest on the unpaid balance of cash price." As a result, the purchase price after my bid (used for down payment) is $13,119.51 and payments are in fact $159.99.

Secondly, I don't think an emerald should turn your hand green if handled. Sapphire should not be able to be easily scratched by glass or steel.

However I found all of these things when purchasing on this website. I didn't think I was buying jeweler quality gemstones, but what I received makes me question my purchase. The discrepancies between the listing and contract on the land, to me, shows deceptive methods are the norm. Avoid, there are other and more reputable ways to bid on interesing things!

The items I received were in excellent condition!

The items I received were in excellent condition. A couple things I probably bid a bit high on personally, after doing a bit more research, however the items were beautifully packaged and better than expected when received. Sylvia was very kind and helpful with my question.

Quality Personalization

It is always nice when you find yourself working with helpful, knowlegeable and accomodating people. Government Auction always offers this high quality of personalization in meeting the various needs and quirks of its many clients. In todays electronic age where most companies rely on impersonable computer programs to assist clients, I've found Government Auction to be a direct person to person contact. This person to person contact makes purchasing a seamless operation where if a conflict arises it is quickly resolved saving the client time and any aggravation they might feel. For me it's easy to recommend a service which continually displays this high quality of personalization.

Total scam

Total scam. Stay far away from them and do not send them any money. I am still waiting for my refund and have filed a dispute against Governor auction through PayPal. They claim they refunded my money. But it's listed as pending on my PayPal account now for 5 days.

word “Government”

When a word “Government” or United State Government seal used. It’s expected to deal with government unconsciously. Unless would be a crime. How the government let any company use their name when we all truthfully live under this seal?! I request the law to pay attention to this issue to not let any to use these terms to misleading the citizens or people. Thanks.

DECEPTIVE BUSINESS AND SCAM

I personally do not recommend Government Auction to anyone. Be advised that some, if not most jewelry come from a "wholesaler" at wholesale price.

The jewelry that they claim is certified and appraised is exaggerative. For example, Government Auction has a certificate appraisal on a ring of $2000, but in reality, the price is $100 from a wholesaler. I won a few pieces of jewelry from them and after further investigation, I have returned all items. I have yet to receive my refund from them after following return instructions.

Also, if you pay through PayPal and open a dispute, make sure you keep the dispute open until you receive the refund! Government Auction will tell you that in order to receive a refund, you will need to close the case.

I was advised by PayPal not to close the dispute until you receive the refund. Please do not do business with them, they're are a complete scam and shady business.
