Customer service is a joke (especially Willie) and they don't know what they are talking about. I was told that a particular unit would function perfectly with Third Party maps, only to find out (after hours of frustration) that the GPSCity representative had never actually tried, or even seen the GPS unit in question. He was guessing, and he was totally incorrect.
When I ordered a replacement unit, I was promised it would be rushed out, however a few days later I received an email advising me to inform Amex to add a second address. A second address! This isn't required, and why does the GPSCity website have boxes for both billing address AND shipping address??? In the end, they never rush-shipped the unit. They never shipped it at all, but they had no problem putting the charge through on my Amex.
Bringing this problem to their attention was useless. They hung up on me for sounding irritated. Of course I was irritated! Their prices are good, but there are many other businesses with similar or better pricing.

Purchased a Garmin echoMAP PLUS 94sv from GPS City on Ebay. I ordered it ahead of my new boat being rigged so it was ready when the boat was done. I ended up buying a different boat than expected that already had electronics installed.
They clearly stated in the ad that returns were accepted so I returned the item unopened other than the shipping box that it came in.
GPS city deducted $110.00 from the return stating that the box had been opened and could not be sold as new. Total BS! I will never buy anything from this crooked store again!
I have filed a case with ebay to recover the rest of my $. Hopefully this company will go out of business soon since they can not seem to understand the difference between good and bad business!
GPSCity ship faulty customer returns to new customers!
I bought a refurbished Garmin Nuvi 2589LMT from GSPCity. The unit had a damaged screen when it arrived. It also had personal customer data on it (tracks from customer's home, etc.). I contacted GSPCity and they explained they do not test any units they ship. They send out what ever they get returned without knowing what the fault was! So I get a known faulty unit from another customer. They explained I could ship it back at my expense and they would consider a refund! I now have a wait of several months to find out if I get any money back. The most deplorable example of customer service ever to ship a known faulty unit to another customer and then make them pay to ask for a refund!!!

Ordered an item on 1st April and gpscity sent an email indicating the item has been shipped. June I sent an email to enquire where the item is no responses until numerous emails sent and William the customer rep said they have to lodge lost item claim and I can choose other item..I opted for refund due to poor service..when they decided to refund me i didnt get the full refund citing they dont refund shipping costs..Question to the company is why am I charged shipping costs for item not received..All I received is they are sorry and no shipping costs refund..This is ABSOLUTE UNETHICAL UNPROFESSIONAL business..My complaint is the same as user mamluk73..

I have now dealt with GPS City since 6/2011, and have always received prompt, accurate service and fair pricing on all orders, to date.
My latest purchases, a Garmin zumo 595LM, and subsequent order for the tire pressure sensors, both went flawlessly. The first order, the GPS unit, was shipped next working day, and arrived on time, in prefect condition. The second part of my latest experience, the sensors, involved a query to sales, which was answered same day by their Director for Online Sales, and was also shipped immediately, arriving a day ahead of estimated arrival.
I am pleased with the devices (my choice, over which they have little control) and extremely pleased by the continuing good service from GPS City. Kudos!

Shoot them an email with your details and they will provide a discount on a majority of their products. GPS was perfect condition and a great price. i will for sure do business with them in the future. you have a customer for life...highly recommended.

I've read a bunch of negative reviews, but I can't share the same. My experience has been great so far and I have no complaints with the order process or customer service. This is my second order from them in less than a year. The first order was as advertised and on time. I'm assuming that my second order will also arrive as the first did.
Didn't get what I ordered and I pay and wait for the return
I ordered a garmin chart. I received an sd card but there was no chart on the sd card. I was told I had to return sd card, and when received they would send me a new one. I asked for expedited shipping and was refused. Company is making no effort at all to make up for a ridiculous mistake on their part. Apparently no one there cares either to send the right product in the first place or to try to speed up the return--of course I have to pay the cost of the return and based on other reviews I see, I wonder if they will claim they never got it. Terrible experience.
Unethical Company
I purchased a refurbished Garmin 2689LMT from this company on 11/3/2016 in the amount of $139.95 using a credit card linked to my Paypal account and I received the unit on 11/7/2016. I already own a Garmin 2598LMT and am quite familiar with the Garmin UI, so I updated the maps on the 2689 unit as soon as I received it. After turning the unit on and using the Voice Command function, I noticed there was a clicking sound from the speaker. I contacted GPS City and spoke with William F. and he issued an RMA number to return the unit. He asked that I pay for return shipping, which cost me $6.80, and explained that, once the defect was confirmed, they would credit me the shipping costs via refund to my Paypal account.
I returned the unit on 11/8/2016 and it was received by GPS City on 11/10/2016. The unit was confirmed defective on 11/10/2016. I called GPS City on 11/14/2016 to inquire when a replacement unit would be shipped and was told the unit was on backorder and would remain so for at least two weeks. I requested a refund for the unit and for my shipping costs and was told by William F. that the shipping costs would not be refunded. I insisted since the unit sent was defective and they were essentially asking me to wait at least 4 weeks after paying for the unit to receive a replacement.
I ended up filing a dispute through my credit card and GPS City issued a refund for $131.95 and not the price paid, which was $139.95. I am now awaiting the credit dispute process to commence and am awaiting the results.
On the GPS City website, the return policy states a full refund will be issued for items returned in the same condition and that shipping costs up to $9.95 will be refunded if it is their fault.
Do not waste your time with this unethical business. A reputable business would refund the full price AND return shipping costs (most companies would provide a pre-paid return shipping label), given the unit sent to the customer was defective. Lesson learned.
poor part quality - unresponsive service - fudged review!
I bought a small replacement part from Gpscity. It lasted only a short time before it broke. I emailed their customer service, then sales after waiting ~ a week. Still no reply, so I called. They said sorry, it's my problem.
So then I posted a review on their website. And they made it *FAR* more positive! Here's what they posted (3 starts)...

It covers the batt & power openings, but the twist lock gizmo only turns a lil bit, not 90*.

I got this cover for my 76cx cuz my original was getting iffy after ~7 years.
On this one, the D ring didn't lock - not a biggie. But then the round power plug cover cracked open. And that was after using it only ~10 times over a few months!
So I emailed gpscity twice & included a pic. No response after ~ a week, so I called. Too bad, too late, not our prob, call Garmin. Geez!
The new cover from Garmin has been AOK.
Good Products, Decent Prices, Crappy Service.
Ordered three of the same item. ALL three came in minus the one piece (shown in their description) to come with it, which is the part I wanted and why I placed the order in the first place. Went though all their company red tape to return items. E-mailed and called repeatedly over the course of two months attempting to get full refund as stated in their return policy. First they gave me a refund for TWO of the three items returned,(minus the original shipping charges) and accused me of only returning two of the three parts. I told them the USPS receipt I STILL had showed the weight of the items returned and would therefore verify how many items were actually returned. They refunded the amount for the third one but would not refund the original shipping charges even though their policy states if the mistake was theirs they would refund that amount as well as the shipping charges I incurred to return the parts to them. In retrospect I guess the mistake was mine for ordering from them in the first place.NEVER will again though. Hope if you order from them you have better luck than I did!
