My experience with Claudia as the Sales Rep started my journey with Grace Removals. Then communication with Karina with all the paper work, insurance etc meant the experience packing team who did an amazing job, packing and removal of my items on the 27th & 28th August in Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt. They were so polite, experienced and easy communication. I would highly recommend to use Grace Remivals.

My relocation began in NZ, I would give the packing and uplift experience a 3-4 out of 5, for some reason the main supervisor didn’t seem very cheerful and also slightly rude if I tried to talk to him which surprised me because he was often praised in local reviews I had looked into.

There was a lot of misinformation once my shipment arrived in AUS, I kept hearing updates like it’s on Blacktown oh no wait part of it is already in Wollongong and no the whole shipment is there and no it’s not in storage yet but then yes it’s in storage.

Not until months of paid storage and insurance costs later was the truth revealed when my items were delivered to me, with some damaged by water and was mouldy.

Then I noticed missing items and boxes with someone else’s name on it, a couple of different names actually but my stuff in the box.

Only when I pressed on to find out the truth it was revealed to me that they repacked mine and other peoples things, why? Because my container had a hole in it, why did my items get packed into a leaking container? And how on earth did they repaxk my things by throwing it into randomly named boxes, break lots of it and also .. still have my items missing. To this day I still have a random box with someone else’s things in it sitting in the garage and no one has bothered to come pick it up for redelivery, if it were my things I’d want it back. I still have things missing but I can’t prove it and insurance don’t care.

Insurance process is also not for the light hearted, coordinating spreadsheets, proof of cost, repair quotes.. yup all do it yourself. And even better, they will pick and choose what items are claimed under which line.. regardless of you telling them they will try to low ball you to the cheapest option. It’s their job. I recommend to anyone thinking of relocating, don’t listen to the coordinator who says just add kitchen ware and don’t bother counting all your pots, plates, cups.. you really should because trust me, otherwise they won’t consider it if your items turn up missing or damaged. Take crazy loads of photos, lots of them. I was stupid to have faith in this company, stupid.

Oh and by the way if you think you are engaging Grace Removals between aus and nz think again, cos you’re actually dealing with Crown! I kept getting confused when they refer to my consignment by as the Crown consignment or the Crown coordinators… as far as I am concerned my paperwork was with Grace and I specifically chose them cos I wanted to avoid double handling, repacking of my items and having things missing. Forget it, everything that will go wrong WILL happen.

Icing on the cake, the spicy packer who decided against my advice to take apart bit by bit my dining table and bed assuring me that the movers in Aus will definitely put it together for me? I get told sorry it’s not our job to put it together, and oh another excuse is someone from crown will arrange a handyman oh and u might have to pay. So yea, undocumented promises and assurance, hiding mishaps and wrongful operations behind your back. And then leave you hoping the insurance is worth what you paid for it.

It’s a shit show basically, and it can and will happen to anyone. Roll the dice, it’s Russian roulette.

Moved some family (precious) items to Oz, Steven H and his assistant were extremely efficient, caring, and detail orientated, I could not have asked for a better team and they are a credit to Grace. I would add an extra star as they deserve it. Cheers.

Great experience so far! The guys who came to pack up our stuff were very pleasant and worked fast, the process has been very simple and straightforward and Lindy has been fantastic to deal with, many thanks team!

We are moving from South Wairarapa to Australia. The team came and packed everything from our home efficiently and carefully. The guys were very professional and friendly, and managed to pack the container with room to spare which was amazing! Care was taken with delicate items like our son's lego collection. We would definitely recommend them.

Great moving company ive used Grace a few times in Australia and then internationally Australia to New Zealand all the movers packers and unloading team were very professional. Thanks heaps grace for a professional job done

Despite seeing some mixed reviews online, our experience with Grace Removals from New Zealand to Australia was excellent from start to finish.
The team in New Zealand (Rapture and Whitz) were fantastic – friendly, considerate, efficient, and worked incredibly fast while still taking great care with our belongings. Communication throughout the process was clear and professional.
The Australian team were equally impressive, keeping us updated on delivery times and ensuring everything went smoothly on arrival.
One thing I would recommend is being thorough and honest when completing your inventory and declarations, as this helps avoid any issues during the move and customs process.
Most importantly, all of our belongings arrived intact with no damage at all, which was a huge relief for an international move. We are very happy with the service we received and would gladly recommend Grace Removals to others planning a move between New Zealand and Australia.

We chose Grace Removals for our move from Auckland to Brisbane at the end of 2025. Overall, the experience was alright.

Pros:
- Our container arrived within the expected timeframe and all items were received.
- Lindy, our move manager, is the most helpful person who ensured good communication before, during and after the move.

Cons:
- We locked in the contract in July 2025 and by the time it was time to pay, they increased the prices.
- Once the payment was done, the salesperson Karun, became unreachable. Never picked up our calls as his job was done.
- While the team was packing in Auckland, they broke 2 glass items already!
- The headboard of our bed was missing. When I contacted the Brisbane team, they responded saying they couldn't find it. They did not care about finding it and their emails were rather rude and careless. 2 days later, they said they found it, so it was there all along.
- The team that came to deliver my items, just dropped everything and were about to leave. I told them that I need the major big things (TV, cabinet, bed etc) unwrapped and put together as agreed in the contract. They seemed quite annoyed when I got them to unwrap all the large items.
- For the one-time rubbish collection, I emailed and called the Brisbane team several times but they completely ignored me. Ended up calling Lindy in Auckland to contact them and that's when they responded. It took them 4 months to take all the empty boxes after a lot of follow up.

Overall, our experience was ok. All our items arrived, however the process was a bit stressful and not ideal.

The only thing that went wrong was that not all the boxes were sent over from Adelaide, but this was soon rectified at the company's expense. It was, necessarily, a slow process, but smooth, and the three guys who delivered the boxes, Rob, Bless, and Hornell, were efficient and cheerful.

Buzz and Sanele were punctual, fast and very systematic with the delivery of my consignment. All items were delivered in good condition. As a company, Grace and Crown were really great and I will use their services again if I have to move again.

Buzz, Whitz, Blessings and Rob were punctual, polite and friendly. They had my household packed up in no time. Karun and Lynda handled the quote and admin and promptly replied to any changes or queries I had. Overall a positive experience so far.

We booked for International move from AKL to Australia. Admin was handled by Nikita initially then Lindy who were very helpful & accomodating even with all of my back & forth emails. Movers Paul & Steve were efficient & fast. Comms all round were top tier. Very happy with the service I was provided for pick up! Thank you all for your effort & patience, have made this move less stressful for us!

I used Grace Removals for an international move from Auckland to Australia, and the experience was a disaster. Several screws for our beds and TV stands were lost, making it impossible to reassemble furniture upon arrival. More distressingly, my TV screen was damaged, and both of my computer screens were simply dumped into a box without any protective wrapping, leaving them badly scratched.
When I raised these issues, the company refused to rectify the damage. They cited a contract clause stating they are only liable for "intentional" damage, using this as a loophole to ignore blatant negligence. My account manager, Lynda, was only helpful until the payment was processed. Once they had my money, the customer service vanished. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
