I was very pleased with my fire surround. It was exactly as request and finished my fire off perfectly. Extra care was taken to double check my measurements were as e pecten and I would definitely recommend.

I cemented three tiles together then used them for cooking steak. I cemented also cork backing, all at oven gas 4. To use, the whole tile is heated for a hour at gas 3 and placed on the table, one per person. The steak is placed alongside and sliced thinly, cooked one or two slices at a time until just right. This is the most succulent way I have found to eat steak. If there isn't enough fat on the steak, you can add a little dripping or oil. The three tiles together retain their heat for long enough. Salad or whatever is also served alongside. Do NOT use on poultry: it isn't hot enough to be safe. Beef is perfect. So far I have made up eight cooking tiles in this way.

Good range of fires at reasonable prices. We had real probems with parts missing from our fire but Chris ws immensely helpful in sorting it out with the supplier, so thanks for that - great customert support!
