I purchased a pair of G-Defy ION 10.5 Wide and quickly realized the fit does not work for me. The front of the shoe runs too wide, making them uncomfortable and unusable even after a brief try-on.
I contacted G-Defy multiple times by email, phone, and chat requesting a simple exchange or store credit, since this is clearly a fit issue. The order was only slightly outside the return window, and the shoes were barely worn.
Customer support refused to help in any way.
The issue here is not just the return policy, it is the lack of flexibility and unwillingness to assist a customer with a legitimate fit problem. There was no attempt to offer a solution, no escalation, and no effort to retain a paying customer.
If you are considering G-Defy shoes, especially trying a new model, be aware:
Fit can vary significantly between styles
Returns are strictly denied outside the window, even for minimal use
Customer service may not offer any resolution
This experience reflects poorly on their support, not just the product.
Impossible to reach customer service
The company shipped out two of the 4 pairs of shoes that I ordered. The AI receptionist refused to transfer the call to AI live person, asking instead that I wait for two days for someone to return my call. It has been 11 days since my first phone call without a satisfactory response.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This is the shadiest company I have ever done business with. I returned my shoes for poor fit the same day I received them and I waited week and still no refund. I emailed them to ask about it and they said the insoles were not included. Everything was in the box and they still had tags.

My gently-worn shoes fell apart. Literally! However, when G-defy was notified with pictures, because they were purchased more than 60 days earlier, they stated they were unable to process an exchange or return.

This company is the worst company to do business with. I returned a pair of sneakers ($100) at the beginning of February. Still have not received my refund. I have called 6 times and still haven’t received it. They said each time I should see something in 24-48 hours or 3-5 days. It has been 30 days! Do not buy from them.

I ordered a pair of shoes, paying over $100 for them. They delivered them to the wrong address, even though they had the correct address. I know this because one month earlier they delivered another pair to the correct address. I spent an hour online listening to them justify refusing to refund or otherwise address the problem. Basically they said that they use a third party and are not responsible for them making an error. I say, who got my hundred dollars? They did. Who got the shoes? NOT ME. They refused to make it right. I spoke to a robot, to an underling and a supervisor. All I got was too bad for you!

Very comfortable shoes BUT quality is so BAD. The heel and part of the front bottom were falling apart after about 4 months, wore it about 2-3 times a week.
Customer service was also bad. I was told it's an isolated case and there's nothing they can do about it.

This product doesn't deserve a star. Due to the poor customer service. The sneakers have a 60-return policy, before the 60 days I needed to return the sneakers because they ran narrow and did not fit properly. I had previously sent 2 e-mails regarding the situation, and no responses. I called several times before the 60 days and STILL NO RESPONCE. Up until today, November 19, 2025, at 12:35 p.m., a miracle happened, someone from customer service answered. I gave her my first and last name and e-mail address for her to look me up in the system. She replied: "well your 60 days is up to return the sneakers." Me: I understand this, but you are the first person who actually answered the phone since trying to get ahold of someone. She replied: " yes well, our portal on our website explains everything."
Still not taking into consideration that I could not get ahold of anyone by phone or by several e-mail attempts.
I asked to speak to a supervisor, and she said, "I am Supervisor." She should be ashamed of herself for the fact that she still didn't answer my questions as to why it took several weeks to finally get someone to pick up the phone.
Due yourself a favor stay away from this company, due to the ignorance and poor customer service treatment. Especially the money you pay for this shitty product isn't worth the half ass treatment.
Horrific customer service and return experience!
I have been a Gdefy customer for over 13 years and purchased over 10 pairs of shoes. I have never had to do a return until this last order. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE! You can't get through to talk with a customer service agent after several calls. I wanted to do an exchange, impossible! I resorted to email for about 10 different interactions. I sent the shoes back on 10/1 - still no refund! Even after this case was escalated to higher ups because the return was received 5 days ago and I have not been refunded. I liked the shoes, obviously, since I have ordered numerous pairs from them, but the experience with customer service and returns was so horrible, it is not worth the effort. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!

I recently bought 3 pairs of shoes and only received 2. I have been talking to their AI bot customer service for over a week and they finally sent and email saying the missing pair would be shipped but to my surprise I got a big box with 2 soaps from Bath & Body Works and a huge plastic container that I have no clue what it is for. I never have been scammed to this level by any company/retailer and I am speechless! They are running several adds on Instagram en Facebook and are probably running a scam selling products they don’t have on inventory. I wish I could post pictures of what I got on the mail and their shipped packing slips with 2 pair of shoes, only!

Oh my goodness! I thought it was just me experiencing absolutely ghastly customer service! I love their shoes but sadly, I just cannot get over how awful their customer service is. Been trying to exchange one item and all they have on their website is an AI chat not, no email and phone number. Finally resorted to giving them a one star review and boy, did I hear back immediately from them asking me to reconsider my one star review! I went through the steps noted in their email and the website kept taking me in circles and I still wasn’t able to get an exchange process started. Regretfully, I will no longer purchase from them after I get these exchanged/returned. So sad because their shoes are really good.

I have bought trainers from this company in the past and have been very pleased. This time I bought another pair of trainers and the quality is not as good. I also bought sandals but checked with customer service before ordering regarding sizing and was advised they were true to size. Not the case as they were too small. As I was posting from northern Ireland, I would have to pay return shipping costs. I contacted customer service as I didn't feel this was fair and they agreed to process return with full refund and shipping would be free of charge.The shipping was deducted from my refund so I have been fighting ever since to get reimbursed. customer service is awful. Shoes started coming apart less than a month into wearing them. I inquired about a refund or exchange and was met with automated emails saying that they needed to be “like new” and in original packaging. When I explained that I no longer had original packaging, I got another automated email. Now I’m nervous about sending them back due to the poor customer service. A $140 loss is pretty significant for me, and I wear these shoes at work so I guess I’ll just let them win and keep the shoes. Might invest in some superglue for them though.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE
Their customer service is absolutely horrible. I chose expedited shipping for my order, which was supposed to ship next day and arrive in 3 days. The order did not ship for 4 days after the order. When I called to request a refund on the expedited shipping cost, they:
1) created a case in their system with the wrong information
2) I have have called 3 times now to follow up, and a "supervisor" has yet to get back to me with a resolution after over a month.
The customer service representative are not empowered to do anything to service the customer, they are terse and condescending on the phone, and the "supervisors" are unresponsive.
The shoes are comfortable, but you better hope you have no issues, because they will not service you.
I just purchased my second pair
I just purchased my second pair! I'm not sure why the bad reviews my first pair I've had for over a year and it's still going strong. When I first purchased my shoes I purchased two sizes and took one back after wearing them both. I had great customer service and no issues at all. I had a pair of hooka. Honestly they rolled a little too much and hurt my knee. These shoes are perfect for me.

I started with Gdefy in 2022, it was a disaster! With the new warehouse manager things quickly turned around, for the better. I enjoyed my job, my boss, coworkers. I move up to a supervisor position.. fast forward to may 2024 I fall at work, get surgery on my foot in October. I then return to work in February and my department had gotten beyond behind. The owner then gives someone completely unqualified my job, due to my department so behind. But then wants me to train this person.. for MY job! Are you kidding? It’s now 2025.. I’m the ONLY employee trained in every department of the company. I was fired for declining to train this person taking my position. The owner is a crook, we had days with no water, no internet due to not paying bills. Cutting hours due to lawsuits, major debt this guy has. Company’s that he owed would come to the warehouse demanding their money, we would change internet companies because he would get so behind he couldn’t pay them, changing pallet companies because he got so behind he couldn’t pay them.
Never would come to the warehouse to check in, fired the entire returns department and then cuts everyone’s hours to 25 a week. Then when cause and effect happens to a business that is still bringing in the same volume we are punished for it being behind. He has ZERO respect for anyone that works for him, his entire California warehouse is suing him. I probably should’ve left a long time ago when I knew all the bad things going on.
