Installation of Tesla battery for solar. Excellent customer service. The team are excellent ambassadors for the company. Friendly, efficient and superb workmanship under difficult conditions. (Very challenging old stone wall) Thank you!

GBR installed PV panels and an Eddi solar immersion diverter a year ago. They also commissioned the system to work with my MYEnergi setup. Very pleased with the PV system performance and friendly staff.
The only thing I would say is that their electricians broke a couple of roof tiles, which they didn't make us aware of. I only spotted these when I went up on the scaffold to check the work once complete. When I alerted GBR to this they quickly arranged to return to replace the broken roof tiles, no questions asked.

We cannot praise highly enough the whole process from start to finish; from the initial survey and quoting, email support and above all the engineers who came to do the installation - we realise this was not an easy job in an old house. They were professional, knowledgeable, tidy, and kept us informed. They evidently took pride in a job well done. We are very pleased with the installation. Thank you.

We have recently moved to Yorkshire and whilst renting looking for a permanent place to move to, we investigated who could install our new Solar PV/Battery solution for us.

As soon as we completed on our new house we contacted GBR and asked for a survey for the first week we moved in. This was arranged and all seemed well. However, our own experience with this company was disappointing and, ultimately, very frustrating:

- The first survey visit was cancelled due to sickness. No problem.
- The re-scheduled second survey visit was scheduled and the surveyor turned up 30mins late. Not a big issue, but it would have been nice to have been told in advance.
- One of the first things the surveyor said to me was, 'I don't do lots of detail, best ask the girls in the office.' Not brilliant, but fine, get the basics and I'll follow up with them
- The 'girls in the office' were lovely, but couldn't answer all of my questions and some of the answers given weren't great
- When I asked whether we could add more panels on the roof because I think it might be possible to add another 2, they couldn't answer. When they checked with the surveyor the solution was to bring another two on the day and see if they fit. That might have been a solution if it hadn't of impacted what size inverter was required
- I was really pushed away from a G99 application because of 'the time and cost', despite this is something I said would probably be crucial because of the size of the array & to avoid clipping the system
- When quering the G99 application process and fees, I asked how long roughly it would take and was given information for the wrong DNO. When I queried this, I was again told the wrong DNO. I had to screenshot and send the results for the postcode for the company to believe me!
- When I asked questions about optimisers and bird guards, I wanted advice. But because the person dealing with the quote had no idea about the property, it felt like an empty answer, particularly being told that I would definitely need to have a G99 application if I had optimisers.

It was really important to us to get the right solution for the house as this was a critical investment for us to get right, first time, particularly as it's a lot of money. I asked lots of questions and asked for a couple of different quotes on products so I could get a feel for what that looked like, e.g. Fox vs. Tesla.

There was no one I spoke to at the company that gave me sufficient confidence that they knew I was buying the right products for the property and us. It was really frustrating as I tried a couple of times to get the answers I needed, but couldn't. Conversely, the company I have now contracted with called me after my first reply to the initial quote, were an expert in Solar PV systems to a technical level far beyond what I needed, and spent 90mins on the phone taking me through it all; I couldn't have asked for more.

I'm sure this company does a great job installing systems all over however if you want specific advice and/or a system it seems you'd be better to shop elsewhere.

The surveyor, Harriet, was very meticulous in assessing the correct size of heatpumps for our house.
The installation engineers were very polite, experienced and knowledgeable and carried out a very professional installation. However, the job was probably larger than anticipated, so took longer to complete, with a delay in between visits. That said, we are very pleased with the end result.

I originally rang to say I had purchased an EV charger from Tesla and was told GBR couldn't fit it which was wrong. Having checked with Tesla they confirmed that they could fit the charger. The only other problem I had was not being kept informed when the work was due to be done.
Once the date was fixed, the installers turned up as expected and did a superb job. So the only reason for not awarding 5* was poor initial communication.

Despite having a solar installation done by someone else, these guys were kind enough to come and sort out the other installers mess.

It took about 15 minutes for their engineer Dave to solve the problem and get everything working as it should be, he also got everything connected in my app which was a bonus.

I would be very happy to use GBR for any furture issues with my solar installation or to expand the system

Very good all round experience from first contact to the completed job. Converted our existing the solar system from pure feed-in to a batteries and replaced our invertor which had broken some months earlier.
Fitters were very helpful and carried out a first class service.

We have been very impressed throughout the whole process of having our Solar panels fitted. The after care service from this company is second to none. We needed information for the electric company we are using, so that we will get paid for any surplus energy which goes back into the grid. I contacted Green Building Renewables for this information and everything we needed was sent through by e-mail super quick. Thank you so much for your help.

The product (PV solar panels in my case) is excellent, and the installers were great, as was anyone I spoke to on the phone. Why 4 stars not 5? There were occasional delays and slip-ups with admin. This is presumably due to them being very busy: everybody wants what they are selling at present! I have no hesitation in recommending them.

The whole process from the surveyor visiting and the aftersales follow-up was superb. All the people we spoke to throughout this process were not only very knowledgeable, but they were also very friendly.

Just had PV solar panels with battery back up installed by Dan and the team from Green Building Renewables. Can’t praise them highly enough! After a bit of a hiccup with the number of panels to be installed, the nightmare began when our roof tiles started crumbling as soon as they touched them. After receiving a very reasonable estimate for the extra work they cracked on & with reinforcements managed to get everything done in just 1/2 day extra. All the guys were super polite, friendly & knowledgeable, and slogged their guts out to get everything done to a high standard (and cleared up after themselves too!)

Excellent from first enquiry to installation. Installation completed in one day and installation date not long after we had confirmed order. Really happy with the system installed which is working well even through Winter period and has made a difference to our fuel bills already. Have already recommended company to a friend who has also had a solar/ battery installation and no hesitation to recommend to others.

We have been extremely satisfied with the performance of this company. Having waited for a year without success for another company to get started, we were very glad to have found GBR. Within a fortnight the surveyor had visited and the quote was provided, and within two more weeks the installation team had completed the job in a day. They arrived on time, they were very efficient and helpful, and the solar panels and electrics were in place and working. We have been delighted with the performance 0f the solar panels so far, and have been glad that we chose the batteries and the water heater. In fact after a short time the fitter installed a third battery for us. We are already making considerable savings so far and have been particularly pleased, especially in this time of high electricity prices.

The installers arrived on time, installed everything with great efficiency and installed an App on my phone so that I can monitor the performance of the batteries and energy saved easily.

Very good experience from inception to operation of our solar panel +batteries installation . The process is clear and the survey allows clarification of possible upcoming technical challenges. The team would support through and find solutions for any challenges ( material availability , timing). There is always someone you can talk to.
