Non-refundable coupon

I purchased a coupon through Groupon for a skydiving experience with iSkydive – Los Angeles, and I have regretted it from day one because I failed to read the reviews beforehand. I have been trying to cancel this coupon—or request a site credit from Groupon—for a year now; however, neither the company nor Groupon will allow a refund of the amount or issue a credit for future purchases. I will not be using the service because I am currently undergoing treatment for panic attacks. Despite this, they claim that I failed to read the rules stating that the purchase was non-refundable; however, I am familiar with consumer protection laws here in the U.S. Groupon has the ability to issue a credit for the unused coupon. This coupon expires in three days, and I have been trying to resolve this matter for nearly a year without success. It is truly disheartening that such a large company would simply keep my money. I am not going to use the service! I simply want my credit back.

Not concerned with bad information

Does NOT vet anything on their site. INEFFICIENT.
Bought car detailing, no mention of extra fees, if smoker, dog owner, or chance of mold. Extra $20 to $100 before you are through. Ask for refund and got Groupon bucks, should return your money.
2- then the second one NO ONE ANSWERS, but the ad on Groupon is still up.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service.

I purchased a groupon for IPL on thread veins, when I arrived the merchant they said IPL doesn’t work on thread veins (so the voucher is advertising a service that doesn’t work/exsist) but I could upgrade to an alternative lazer. I agreed, paid £150 and they redeemed the voucher (£59). After offering a second voucher to a friend my friend confirmed the voucher says it’s for face and legs and that the price on the website for the lazer was £50. So I paid full price on the day (according to the website (I had 3 areas treated)) and paid for the voucher.

I spoke to groupon and they just said the merchant says it’s £250.

I replied with screenshots of the voucher T&C’s and the pricing from the website and they responded with the same comment.

No one could explain the difference between the vendor stating £250 and the website advertising £50.

They heard what she had to say and they heard what I had to say and saw the evidence validating my claims. They took her word for it and didn’t provide any factual evidence to support that decision.

Clearly both terrible at running a business.

Groupon WILL Steal Your Money!

This website is a legal way for them to steal our money!!! I bought 7 universal studios tickets, 2 days/3 parks, for $3385.55. During the purchase part groupons website glitches. When it did , it charged my credit card twice. My bank caught the duplicate and opened a case. Groupon provided them with "proof", blurry correspondence, and the bank verified the charge. Since I couldn't get my money back I was going to sell them to family that hadn't bought theirs yet. When I tried to "gift" to my family member universal said they were expired even though it's May and they have June dates, universal states Groupon canceled the tickets. Try to reach Groupon and crickets. Now I'm out $6771.10 and I have to buy tickets again just so my family can have our vacation. Groupon are a bunch of thieves that our government is allowing to operate this way.

Duplicate order due to technical issue

Purchased 2 zoo tickets yesterday upon paying had a Groupon Technical Issues message come up and took me back to my basket. Attempted to purchase again and all went through. Checked my bank and payment has been taken twice. Contacted Groupon for assistance to be told item is unrefundable and if I am unable to use them gift them. The technical error was on their part yet I have to foot the additional payment. Customer services very unhelpful just kept repeating themselves. Do not recommend

GROUPON is very difficult to communicate with

Apparently Groupon wants to make communicating with them very difficult. I have been a Groupon customer since 2011 and doing business with Groupon has become increasingly challenging. Some years ago you could call Groupon and talk to someone to help you. Now there is no phone number to call Groupon for help. You can chat - if you enjoy completely unhelpful chats. Doing some research just now I see that if you write a bad review on the Better Business Bureau website - someone from Groupon responds fairly quickly. I purchased a $25 Sabor Latino Groupon (Boynton Beach, FL) on 3/6/26 (actually that is when I used it - not when I purchased it). The Groupon says you can only buy 1 every 30 days. I have been trying to buy another 1 but it keeps telling me i have exceeded the purchases allowed. I should have been able to buy another one before 3/6/26. I called and spoke to the owner of Sabor Latino and explained my frustration with Groupon and suggested he change to inKind. Their offerings are better and they are easy to communicate with. He said he would.

Prices are inflated to make it look like a big savings. I deliberately contacted a vendor asking about her regular price for a service and she quotes $90 not $120 and she will give me the Grouponn discount of $12 not $42 as advertised. Also Groupon says I earned $10 and when I go to apply it to new purchase, it says invalid. Not happy with these games. Some services were really good and eventhough I did not get a great discount/deals, it was good finding the professionals.

Never received purchased license

I’m sorry to say they did not respond to my request for assistance. I purchased two (2) lifetime Microsoft office Suites, neither of which I’ve been able to redeem. I notified Microsoft but they referred me back to the vendor. I’ve always been super happy with Groupon, but with them not responding to my last (and only) request for assistance I’m not inclined to make any further purchases. Sad, because they have great offers. I just can’t spend my money and receive naught in return. 😢

I get that AI bots are cheap but my goodness Groupon desperately needs actual human beings to be able to help if you have an issue. I ended up purchasing two because the first one didn’t work and they refused to give me my money back. I’m stuck with the Groupon voucher that I will not use and customer service options are pitiful. They said you needed to reach out within three days to receive a refund. I tried to reach out within three minutes to get the problem resolved, but they don’t have the capacity to be able to get a human to answer a phone or for that matter, they don’t even have a phone for people to call if your problem can’t resolved via a chat bot. You’re only other option is chat or email but when you need help right away, you don’t have any options.

Somebody in Atlanta Georgia got into my GrubHub / seamless account and made multiple food orders to different addresses. I was notified by email of the purchases and notified Groupon immediately that it was fraud but they still went ahead and processed one of the orders. Long story short 3 weeks later and they basically said deal with my bank because they don't care. I have canceled my accounts with Groupon and seamless since I will never again deal with these companies.

Straightforward, pricing was very competitive

I had a great experience purchasing Microsoft Visio through Groupon. The process was straightforward, pricing was very competitive, and the redemption instructions from mycodes24.com were clear and easy to follow.

The product worked exactly as expected, and I was up and running quickly without any issues. Overall, this was a smooth and reliable transaction, and I would definitely consider using Groupon again for software purchases.

Avoid: No Delivery and Impossible to Contact Support

I ordered a mattress for approximately €200 in March 2026 on groupon.be. As of today, May 4th—more than a month later—I have still not received anything.

Attempting to contact customer service has been extremely frustrating. Groupon offers no phone support, making it impossible to speak with a representative directly. I have used the chat system multiple times, and each time I was promised a response within 24 hours (Casus ID 80089668). Unsurprisingly, no follow-up was ever provided.

On top of that, I was told that nothing can be done because Groupon is “not the seller” and that they will contact the seller... From a consumer’s perspective, this is unacceptable. I placed my order through Groupon.be, which makes Groupon responsible for the transaction in my eyes.

Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience, marked by poor communication, lack of accountability, and failure to deliver the purchased product.

Sold me a non-working/non-genuine voucher

Sold me a non-working/non-genuine voucher

Would give zero stars if I could..

I was sent an email advertising Groupon's new look site.

24-Apr I visited, saw something I liked and bought it. I tried to redeem it online that same evening and it didn't work.

I went to customer services (an AI chat bot) and the only remedy was a refund -which was initiated.

Same night, I bought another voucher to see if I was just given a wrong one initially. I tried redeeming.. same thing - voucher didn't work/was not recognised/”did not exist” - according to the vendor's website.

Back on with AI chat bot (no real people in sight) and, same thing happened but I said I'd wait until another day and retry - chat bot said “good idea”(I seem to recall). I thought maybe they needed time to fix it / activate codes etc.

Tried over the next few days.. same issue.

Contacted the vendor direct to see if it was their website that was the problem. They said that code was “not one we supplied to Groupon”.

So, it seems Groupon sold me a random number/non-genuine voucher.

Back on with customer services and managed to get through to a real person after much challenge.

First person couldn't help (issue a working code). The Groupon App does work so I couldn't attach screenshots. Was told the ticket wouldn't be investigated without those screenshots. Asked if I could email, asked for the email address.. they said that was fine and pointed me towards FAQs.
Spent an age looking through the site - no email address was listed.

Raised another query with customer services… they told me there is no email address. Big fat waste of time. But, was told it would be investigated.

In comes customer services level 3… ‘Darren’. No mention of my query, no mention of the problem, no attempt to resolve in a way that would take them any effort but was told “As per Groupon policy, we can only issue refunds in Groupon bucks”...
On this occasion though, they give me 3 days to claim a refund.

So they sell you a fake code, and if you can't catch them quick enough after paying them you have to live with ‘Groupon bucks’. What if you'd have gifted it to someone?

Anyway, wrote back to Darren and heard nothing since. Now a race against time to either hear back if they want to fix their error (giving me some made up random voucher) or I claim a refund.

Not worth it. Customer services is either useless, cannot help or aren't inclined to help.

Not sure how you can get away with selling non-genuine/codes which don't work and do not exist and yet quote me Groupon terms and conditions. If enough people get baited and trapped by this they'll have all your real money while issuing you Groupon bucks. Seems off to me.
