I have been a loyal customer for many years. For some reason Gudrun Sjoden decided to update their computers at the absolute worst time of year (right before the holidays). Their website and online ordering now runs like it's 1999. Their website sometimes works, you always get charged, but the system doesn't get your order, therefore it is not shipped. You no longer get order confirmation emails or shipping notification so when you call customer service with little to no information, they can do very little for you except apologize. I do feel bad from for the customer service representatives, it's not their fault, but the Gudrun Company continues to throw these poor people to the wolves everyday. This issue has been going on for months and they don't seem to be able to fix it. This used to be a great company, however, with their incessant website issues coupled with the fact that the quality of their clothing has gone way down over the past 5 years, I think I'm done ordering from Gudrun Sjorden.

I placed an online order for quite a few items of clothing and accessories on 29/12/25. I received an email on 2/01/26, saying that a label had been created, and UPS was going to pick up my parcel. Nothing has happened since then, no emails, the tracking doesn't work, and my parcel is still awaiting dispatch today's date being 14/01/26, nearly two weeks later. I have rung uk customer services twice, and received excuses about the delay, but no information about when my parcel will be dispatched, or when I will receive it. I spent a lot of money, hundreds of pounds, but have had nothing delivered, or even dispatched which I believe is disgusting. I asked for a full refund via email and phone call, and logged a complaint. I've now emailed three times. Initially I was told a refund might be possible, but was then told that because my parcel is ready for dispatch, it isn't possible to get a refund, except by returning the goods, if and when I receive the parcel. My parcel has been awaiting dispatch since 2nd January, so I don't see why I can't get an immediate refund, after nearly two weeks have passed and my parcel is still awaiting dispatch. Truly horrible customer service, with no-one taking responsibility for the poor service. I will not be ordering from Gudrun again.

I bought 4 or 5 items. Didn't receive any kind of confirmation email. They didn't arrive. Then randomly I get a refund. No communication at all.

Oh, dear. I was hoping that when I checked the Trust Pilot reviews I would have been an isolated example, but no, my review echoes what many have already written. I have been a GS customer for many years. I ordered a number of items on January 2. The order was confirmed. Since then I have heard nothing. I accept that it is sale time and likely to be busy, I accept that Jan 1 was a holiday in Sweden but 10 days is a very long time to wait for no information about my order. I emailed GS, the receipt of the email was acknowledged but otherwise no response. Today I phoned GS in London - dearly wish they had kept their office in Scotland, the staff they were lovely - and found myself speaking to a woman who answered my very polite enquiries in a bored monotone, who responded as if I was an idiot for expecting to receive or even hear anything in a mere 10days. The explanation was that there was a backlog because of the holidays and they were working through things. She offered no sort of apology - I guess she was bored with having to field so many complaints- didn't even ask my name. She said they had told GS there was a problem. I asked for their addres so that I could complain to them directly. No that is not possible because they are in Sweden. GS know that sale time is busy, so they should have some sort of contingency in place. Delays at this time of year have NEVER been so bad. I feel certain that the next thing I hear is that they have run out of stock (that has happened to me once previously). This whole upgrade to the system is taking far too long, it is impossible to check the number of points that have been earned and there is no satisfactory explanation of how the new system is going to work. Worst of all no-one seems to be bothered . That's what is so annoying - an apology goes a long way. Everything GS seems to have gone to Hell in a handcart. As other reviewers have said, GS really needs to get its act together. Very unprofessional and unless things improve (and I used to earn the full bonus points in the course of a year - that's a lot of money spent) I can't see me continuing to buy from them. There are alternatives...

I was thrilled to have found GS clothes six years ago but sadly the company has gone down a cliff! The clothes are now often so thin they are transparent, often completely shapeless, so many of the designs have lost the beauty of the detail in the embroidery, gathers, prints but the worse thing is the fabrics they have started to use are cheap manmade fibers. Previously the used natural fabrics. In addition the website has so many problems it is not usually a pleasure to use.

Truly appalling customer service-as in completely ignoring e mails. I bought clothes from them only to see the same clothes massively reduced some 10 days later in their sale which I had no idea was coming. When I wrote to complain, because there was an enormous price difference between what I had paid and the sale items- total silence; no acknowledgement or explanation. To say that it was sharp practice is an understatement. I love their clothes but am utterly disappointed by their treatment of a long time customer.

I have loved Gudrun Sjoden in the past, not least because of the quality of their designs. But now... I have spent so, so much time trying to get my money back after returning clothes, and have been promised all manner of things. But not received my money back. This relates to an order I returned in October. It is January now.
It makes me really sad, as I have bought clothes with them for over twenty years (here and abroad). But this is unacceptably bad.

I bought a dress and trousers from winter collection on sale. I assumed that materials the clothes are made of are suitable for winter. It looks I was wrong! Fabric the dress was made of was thin like the old fashioned handkerchiefs and trousers also way too thin for the weather conditions in winter.
You can't judge these from the pictures on the company website or the clothes description and I wrote it on my return form.
Today I received an email that they're processing my refund but I will be charged £7 for the return.
There is information on their website about the charge but I understood it applies when somebody returns clothes just because they changed their mind and not when you are not satisfied with what you received.
There is no GS shop in a city I live in therefore when buying online I relay on information on their website and it should be much more detailed. If the materials their clothes are made of are suitable for this time of the year for weather in southern hemisphere it should be stated!
I'm very dissapointed

First discovered this brand through a workshop at their store in SoHo. Picked up a pair of organic cotton ribbed leggings and matching top. Just ordered another pair because they’re the only loungewear that feels completely comfortable on my skin when it’s irritated in winter. Staff in NYC store is also helpful

Most of the clothes I’ve had from GS are beautiful. I think the problems they’re having are a result of their website they don’t allow you to review your purchases. So if an item runs small or large or the fabric is not good quality you have to purchase it to find out! If it doesn’t fit or it’s not right for you- you have to return it which is a huge problem with GS and costs a lot of money - I once had to return an item to Sweden!

My current experience with this company has been totally unacceptable. I received an email on 25th November saying ‘your return has been handled’ To date, that is 24 days ago. After many emails back and forth, I am still waiting for my refund of £79.00.

I absolutely love Gudrun clothes and the company. I get my clothes in two days and I don't live near the warehouse. The clothes are beautifully made and last so long. As they use a coordinated palate, the clothes I bought some years ago still go well with the clothes I buy today. Well made clothes last and last,

Following my recent review where I gave one star because I ordered a coat on 12th October and was sent a coat 3 sizes too large in a style I didn’t order. I returned it, but it was returned to me unopened. I then had to wait a month for a return address and was required to pay the postage. After numerous phone calls and emails I finally received a refund (6 weeks after my order) of £323.60 although I paid £332.00. I had to pay £5.40 postage to return the coat, which is a total of £13.89 which I am still owed. I have been told they are unable to refund the balance, but offered a voucher of £15 as compensation. This actually amounts to £1.20 compensation - but only if I make another purchase.
someone with decision making ability at Gudrun Sjöden has made some serious errors and seems unable to recover. They should be in crisis solving mode, and should have been for several months.
Who implements a new web site without testing a beta version? Who implements a new web site without the ability to revert to the old one if problems arise?
Who changes the rewards structure midyear? Who drastically reduces customer rewards without sending emails to customers explaining the changes? And with lead time-for instance maybe in September communicate that changes are coming in 2026?
For two whole months their website has been total chaos. They are making really good money and still they reduce customer benefits. The fabrics are getting really cheap and crappy. The patterns are boring, mainstream and none inspiring. They really have to get a grip on the situation and get the right people in leadership, if not they are loosing their customer base really fast.
And finally who spends all their good will so thoughtlessly?

i've been an online US customer of this company for seven years. The end of October it was suddenly announced that they would be rebuilding the website. no advance notice of this was given. It has been almost 6 weeks and the website is still not functioning to allow customers to view their accounts or their order histories. During this time I have not been allowed to use $250 in gift cards that I purchased and I also cannot get a refund for them due to issues with their system. If I call customer service they cannot help me and they cannot give any estimate as to when the problems will be fixed. The company just announced that on November 1, a month ago, their long-standing bonus program was going to change. There has been no mention of whether or not they're going to honor the bonus system that was in place since the beginning of the year.
I ordered a scarf from GS on 12 November. The cost,£77, was taken out of my Paypal account on 20 November, but the scarf has never arrived. In the meantime, I also ordered another, cheaper scarf and this arrived quite quickly. I sent several emails enquiring about the first order which did not arrive. Most emails were completely ignored. Eventually, I spoke to a UK customer service person who spent ages writing down all the details even though they were all in my emails. Nothing happened as a result of that call. Last week, I spoke to a more efficient, Swedish, member of staff who assured me that she would process a refund. After a week's wait, my Paypal account has still not been refunded. I phoned again today and as others have reported, it was blamed on the system change and they have no idea how long this will take. We will see. Years ago, this was a reliable company.

I ordered a nice sweater to wear for holiday parties. I received the leggings I ordered to wear with it but not the sweater. I went to the website to review my order that said sweater delayed. When I finally reached Customer Service a few weeks later. I was never contacted, the said there was a mix up and that it was sold out and that the order would be cancelled. When I ordered nothing was sold out yet in any of the three colors. They offered no apology or real excuse why. I’d also othe clothing from other sources to work with the unique colors. So now, no sweater, no time to find alternatives, and lots of other product to return. So frustrating. Will never order from Gudrun Sjödén again!

I am still waiting in my refund. £70.
I do not think the company make it clear they are in sweden untiil you are well through the checkout and they have your money.
I wish I looked here before ordering
nightmare experience altogether lasting into months now. I think i will cancel with my bank as goods not refunded

my bank found in my favour and my case was resolved and I received my money.
I never heard one word from gudrun during all this!
Their reply is nonsense, they simply did not refund me

Recently I sent four items back to Gudrun Sjödén in Sweden but was only refunded for three. I got in touch and they very quickly credited me for the fourth, with an apology for their mistake. Also I visited their shop in London where they have the new collection - gorgeous clothes and though a few of the lightweight cotton dresses and blouses are a bit on the flimsy side overall the quality of their clothes is still very good.

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering! I have shopped for many years with GS but my latest experience means I doubt I'll be shopping there again.
I ordered a jumper and tights to take on a winter break and put them on express delivery (£7 extra) so I would receive them in plenty of time. As I hadn't even received despatch notification by the last day the parcel was supposed to be delivered, and received no reply from an email, I rang customer service to be told my order hadn't been processed yet. I insisted on next day delivery but the very abrupt lady on customer services said that wasn't possible as the goods were shipped from Sweden. Fair enough but surely there should be a back up for their incompetence! She suggested that I contact their London store and if they had the items in stock, get them expressed from there. Speaking to an apologetic, and as helpful as she could be under the circumstances, shop assistant, she explained that GS are going through a system update and they can no longer sell over the phone. Useless! Apparently this was why the goods were delayed online too, so my advice is, if you still feel like buying from this shop, don't at the moment as it's an absolute shambles. Goodness knows when I'll receive my order or a refund for the express delivery charge!
