Horrible Experience
We booked a high quality frontline penthouse apartment in Torrox, via the VRBO website. This is a high spec apartment over 500m2, and paid a deposit of £1400 to Guido Beaur in October 2021. I have the booking confirmed emails from VRBO.
This week I received an email from them informing me the property was double booked as they use multiple platforms to advertise on. I was told there was nothing I could do about it, and was offered 2 sub standard apartments as an alternative.
This holiday was for my wife’s 60th birthday, so I emailed them back and explained my flights were booked, my family had booked their flights, my hire car was booked and was there an explanation why I was the one not getting the apartment seeing as I had booked it nearly 6 months previously.
I received a curt reply about their offer of alternatives, I responded to that asking them to reconsider, and the next reply was a VRBO one telling me I had been refunded.
Lucky me I got my deposit back, at least the protection of the VRBO site handling the booking caught that for me, but Guido Bauer has no integrity and clearly cannot be trusted to honour bookings made months previously or to even check that they are removed from other platforms when booked and deposits paid. These are the lowlife agents you hear about, no care or concern for customers.
I wouldn’t recommend these cowboys to sell a house or handle anything with my properties, an absolute shower.
Take the time to read their Google reviews, they are just as bad as this.
