Guitar Pro 8 is easy to install, use and incorporate into my guitar education. By incorporating MySongBook it keeps you motivated.

The first song I try is help me, by Joni Mitchell. The title says help me guitar / vocals. I open it up and there is piano. No guitar. I press the tablature button. It says no tablature is attached.

Hands down a must have for a musician and music composer. Great for both learning existing songs and writing your own.

The ability to see how the notes were placed and the result. It helps me to learn a bit easier.

Using GP8 is like having a personal instructor available 24/7 to play along with. Each time I think it's the best it can be, I learn a new feature that makes it even better.

There are some bits of software that just feel perfect. Guitar Pro is one of them. As a guitar player of 21+ years, I finally succumbed to Guitar Pro 8 six months ago whilst trying (and failing) to learn some Mike Dawes arrangements. The rich feature set, incredible annotations and playback tools helped me immensely, and I got the tracks down. Easily, easily worth the money for any guitarist that enjoys learning (which should be all guitarists)

I find it very difficult to use it. Granted I'm not tech savvy but I was told it was very good for beginner guitar players, I gave up can't work it at all. So it didn't turn out to be very good for this beginner guitar player.

The app is really great with excellent features however the quality of the songs when attached (especially when bpm / pitch altered) is quite bad. Many other apps are able to accomplish this with the introduction of significantly less artifacting. Resolving these issues would absolutely get a 5 star rating from me.

I rated it 3 starts due to a bug after update, but seems like I maybe had something wrong with my setup or an update fixed the noise issue when playing along with a guitar.

Guitar Pro 8 is a great tool. My primary use case is transcription. Since I have a lot to practice on the songs I just transcribed I would appreciate it if I could import more than one audio file, to have the stems separated by another tool as individual tracks. Further muting or soloing of the individual tracks would enable Me to gain the most value in transcribing and practicing.

A very versatile tool. It would be nice if it allowed making sheets with just chord symbols.

I really like it, but it still needs to have better samples of instruments. It still sounds electronic and fake. Guitar sounds fake/keyboard like. But it has gotten better and keeps getting better. The pages are a little complicated to navigate. Could use some design with keeping it simple on the surface and more options as you immerse yourself.
But overall I’ve really enjoyed it and feel like it is helping me improve!

I finally upgraded to Guitar Pro 8 as I have been using GP5 and 4 for 20+ years. This is a huge mistake and i fully regret getting the 8. It KEEPS CRASHING. As i hit the play button the app becomes unresponsive. It is very unpredictable but extremely annoying. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!
