Have tried to contact these people to purchase a car for my wife lots of emails and chats but no response whatsoever! Don’t touch them with a barge pole !!

Can’t fault the service and buying a vehicle.

It’s just when they state warranty on vehicles purchased and not honoured. Bought an Audi a3, engine management light came on within a week after putchase. Spoke to Gwent car sales said can be done and they pay the£500 under warranty. Had vehicle fixed at a local garage and was told money will be paid back. Since then Gwent won’t answer phone calls or emails from myself. Only contact I’ve had is when conveniently there accounts were hacked and frozen. That was 3 weeks ago from this review. Still not answering phone or responding to emails. Only option is now to take further to small claims court and trading standards. If you read some of reviews on Google. All good until something is wrong with vehic and they don’t want to know. Seems to be a theme this garage has. So if you do buy a car from them just hope it don’t go wrong as the warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s wrote on.

All staff here were extremely helpful with information about the cars in stock and about the car I purchased. The transfer of ownership was done on site, smoothly and the car was immaculately presented.
I'm doing this review about 6 weeks after my purchase and to date I've had advice on site about some of the electronic setup on the car.
Last week they immediately sorted a snag on the internal power sockets which only came to light when I plugged my Sat/nav.

Gwent Car Sales was my last stop after driving around garages and dilearships in Cardiff last June. I popped in on my way back home and founded two cars as an option. Following day I came back for the test drive and made my choice. Excellent choice, very helpful staff. I would definitely recommend this company. They may be not he biggest trader but have a very god choice of cars.

Found these people most excellent to deal with. We wanted a second car and found what we were looking for on the net. Phoned and from the start they were most helpful.We travelled up from Devon and across into Wales, and returned home delighted with our purchase. We did a slight door problem with central locking on passenger side, but true to their word (if we did have any problems) we had it fixed locally (to save the time and expense of a journey back to Wales) and they footed the bill. Most excellent. Would highly recommend Gwent Car Sales to anyone else looking to purchase a car
