Extremely poor communication, conflicting explanations and evasive answers. We constantly have to chase for updates, yet repeated assurances of progress lead to no clear timescales. After months of uncertainty, we feel misled and are now close to withdrawing from the purchase because of the lack of clear communication. We would not recommend this agency to either sellers or buyers who want to avoid unnecessary stress.

Very attentive when they listed the property but this faded over time. Ready to exchange contracts and no reply from emails or phone calls for 4 weeks but they managed to send bill of sale to solicitors. Buyer contacted us privately so don't really know what we paid them for. Do not recommend.

Welwyn Garden City, Herts - ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES. Property advertised on Boxing Day 2024, plenty of early interest but then died off. Staff turnover is astronomical at this branch, 4 left within weeks, at all levels. Never knew who was dealing one day to the next. We entrusted them with the house keys to do viewings as they came up. BAD MISTAKE because even though we have a Ring doorbell, they would constantly leave the front door unlocked, and then weren't happy when we said they needed to return each time to properly secure the property. House alarm regularly NOT set that we regularly, had to get someone to do a 2 hour round trip to get that relative to do it for us. Back door was left unlocked a few times and our property is not really overlooked either. Regularly leaving all the lights on etc. Now they REFUSE to return OUR keys to us, they have our alarm code as well! Complained several times and fobbed off each time. Submitted written complaints and blah blah responses. Followed their own alleged complaints procedure and Head Office now COMPLETELY IGNORING US as they decided to withdraw our property from their listings because the local branch has NO STAFF is the excuse. That DOES NOT mean you ignore genuine complaints. Head office had the audacity to call us today and ask how our house sale was going etc. They had NO IDEA the listing had been taken down at least 4 weeks ago now! INCOMPETENCE BEYOND BELIEF. Btw, their own alleged complaints procedure says contact branch manager, which we've done several times. Then it says contact head office if still not satisfied, which we have done several times now and NOTHING. We did get 1 email saying branch manager has responded. Yes but the point being is we want to take things higher, therein lies THE MASSIVE CLUE! We have asked Head office to get the area manager to contact us, that particular request done three times now, and was last done AT LEAST TWO MONTHS AGO NOW and STILL ZERO CONTACT. Makes you wonder if they need to carry out a welfare check on that person in case they are incapacitated in their office somewhere? House sale now fallen through mainly due to them not updating us or being willing to find out from alleged buyers what was happening! AVOID THESE FOOLS, you will not regret it. AND NO WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR COPY AND PASTED 'we have reached out to you' standard responses to try to make you look good on here

Cant recommend Marcus & Lillie enough at Haart Estate Agents in Welwyn Garden City.
They were caring & professional from day 1 & are a real credit to their profession.
From the very first day I met Marcus I knew I was in safe hands.
My emails & calls to him were RELENTLESS but he never made me feel like a nuisance.
We were only selling a flat but he treated me as if I was selling a mansion.
So thank you :)

Terrible experience with haart and their staff, avoid like the plague. On one occasion they have arranged viewings to sell my house confirmed via email and text message and then not turned up with no explanation. On another occasion they had 3 viewings booked, due to staff shortages I had to show the viewers around my own house. Totally unacceptable for an established estate agents. Also Tony is very pushy with trying to convince me to drop the price of my house!! Have handed in my notice with haart and are moving to a reputable estate agent. Dealt with these clowns both as a buyer and a seller.

As a seller they very much reminded me of a high pressure car salesmen and to be honest its not a great look so I did not instruct them. They offer what they proport to be a unique and bespoke service but really they are just selling your house just like everyone else and as we all know the majority of sales now come via the big internet portals and not bespoke tools.

As a buyer I could not have been let down any more badly. I instructed solicitors, completed all the paperwork as requested, bought furniture ready for my move and did everything I was asked from my side as quickly as possible.

From their side they prevaricated, avoided and told complete untruths. Always pushing their favoured brokers etc to try and eek more money out of me.

Eventually though after my agreed move date I was finally told that in fact the property was no longer for sale and I was left high and dry. An extremely stressful and ultimately costly experience with no real apology or any sort of recompense from Haart.

I cannot think of a worse experience and would warn everyone to walk past their window, don't click their links and do yourself a favour, AVOID THESE CLOWNS.

We bought a property through Haarts Estate Agents, Welwyn Garden City. Charlie Reed was the person who showed us around the property. We requested a second viewing with no problems at all though we had already made an offer which had been accepted. I had a weekly update from Tony Mitchell on the progress. I must say that I have found this branch to be extremely professional both Tony and Charlie whom I have personally being in contact with. I will highly recommend this branch and the staff members.
