Had a property viewing with Haarts Dartford, the young girl Maddie Gilhooley was very professional and very friendly, I did not know the area but she made the appointment easy.

As a landlord, I cannot recommend Haart’s rent guarantee insurance.

The policy lacks transparency, and the claims process is inconsistent. In my experience, a confirmed payment was later denied, with unclear explanations. Communication was slow and often unhelpful.

If you are a landlord, I strongly suggest arranging your own insurance separately and not relying on Haart’s scheme.

Shannon from the Dartford Office, visited my Property to carry out a Valuation on the 15th July 2025. The Valuation and Service was excellent, Shannon is a very accomplished Young Lady and it was an absolute pleasure to meet her. Shannon is a credit to the Haart Team.

Haart are the worst lettings agency to deal with. Zero professionalism and they take zero interest in their tenants’ concerns.

They don’t care for their tenants whatsoever. I won’t even go into my experience with them during my tenancy… that’s a whole separate case.
But this review is in regard to their “checking out” procedure.

Regardless of their treatment, I have handed back the keys, got the property completely professionally cleaned top to bottom, sent in reference photos as evidence and requested for my deposit back.

It has now been two weeks since I carried this out, yet nobody has the decency to respond back to emails and to update me with my request - I have never experienced communication so poor.
I have looped in 4 people in my emails, including the branch manager and not one person can be dutiful and update me?
I have been given no understanding or explanation as to why my deposit is being held back, and I truly believe there is no reason to. I left the property better than I found it.

Haart do not even follow their own guidance. On vacating the property, I was not followed up by any so called “Inventory Clerk” for the check-out appointment.
Come to think of it, on moving in, I never even received an Inventory of the property which is supposed to be standard practice - that in itself just shows how shoddy a company Haart really is.

Haart are more concerned about securing deposits and moving-in money but at the end of term, they are completely silent when it comes to returning a deposit that is the lawful right of a tenant especially when all procedures have been met to ensure that the property is left in a respectable condition.

Stay well clear of this company.

I wish it has an option to give zero star - absolute rubbish service. they are misguiding their customers on both ends; landlords and the tenants. absolute no care or service is provided; its like you are living on your own and they literally make life of tenant worse by creating more fuss and clauses when they want to leave.

They never have anyone in office to respond to your calls, take days and weeks to respond to your email, and never come back to your complain or issue in house.

I have to say that they are the worse agent i have ever come across to. Deeply disappointed as we have been a quite and obedient kind of tenant not causing any trouble, even spending from our own not poking them even for the right things but nothing stops them to offer worst customer care.

I would not recommend this agent to anyone. The absolute bare minimum is conducted for the fees they charge! There is no care in what they do, and as a landlord you’re just lucky if you have a decent tenant. This agent failed on so many levels, but the branch manager had no interest in following up with any of my concerns raised throughout the management of the property. Further, despite reaching out to Haart via Social Media they too had no interest.

In addition the lack of experience and knowledge of the person managing my property was shocking! I cannot believe I made such an error when choosing an agent. Sadly, their ego got the better of them and if it was my business I’d be concerned with the way this branch operates. Yet again an agent / branch manager who can talk the talk to secure the contract and delivers very little thereafter.

We would like to highly rate this Estate Agent. Haart of Dartford - Ben, Nadia, Shannon and all the other staff made the sale of our house go so smoothly from start to finish. They generated more viewers than other agents and found us the perfect buyer! They gave great communication and advice throughout the process, were friendly, kind and supportive throughout, what can be, a very stressful time - moving house!! BIG thanks to all of them. Would recommend this Agent.

Had a home valuation appointment booked with Haart, but no one showed up at the arranged time. Didn’t receive any further message or phone call either. What a waste of my time, since I had to take some time off work. Would not recommend.

Thank you Lisa for making the sale of our flat go through in record time after many many months of delay and we thought the buyers were going to pull out. In just 7 days you managed to find our tenants a place to move into and got the last of the conveyancing sorted so we completed on 7 July 2023 which the buyers wanted.
