I have sold two properties in Plaistow…
I have sold two properties in Plaistow through Haart. Even though the sales were ten years apart the person handling both sales was Matthew. He managed to get me a much better price than I was previously offered in the first sale and pushed it through to a very speedy conclusion.
On the second sale his knowledge of the local area meant we were able to offer the property at the correct price to find the right buyer. When we were getting nervous about the sale falling through he was able to reassure us that everything was on track.
I would definitely recommend Matthew for his experience, professionalism and especially his local knowledge.

I used this clown car outfit in East Ham, London as my rental and property management partners for a few years. The worst service I have ever received in any sector. Communication, responsibility, organising repairs terrible. It came across to me as a chaotic and uncaring culture which resulted in a chaotic and uncaring office. Only one person Marvellous, had any understanding of professionalism but she has left. Too many incidents to list but if you're a landlord avoid this team at all costs as rental and property management agents.

Avoid Haart Lettings – A Risk to Landlords’ Interests
As a landlord, my experience with Haart Lettings has been nothing short of frustrating, disappointing, and deeply concerning. I strongly advise other landlords to think twice before entrusting them with the management of their property.
From the outset, the communication was poor and inconsistent. Messages frequently went unanswered, important updates were delayed or missed entirely, and I often had to chase basic information that should have been proactively provided.
The team demonstrated a serious lack of competence in handling routine matters, from check-ins and check-outs to property inspections. Critical tasks were mishandled or forgotten, and their failure to follow up on key issues showed a troubling level of disorganisation.
Their advice frequently conflicted with both common practice and contractual obligations, and different staff had different and often conflicting opinions on important matters of process and payment. There was a notable reluctance to take responsibility for mistakes made. I found myself correcting their errors and stepping in to manage situations they were hired to handle.
Perhaps most alarming was the dereliction of duty in safeguarding the landlord’s interests. Rather than acting as a representative for me, they seemed more focused on minimising their own workload or appeasing tenants at the expense of fairness and due process.
If you’re a landlord looking for a reliable, responsive, and professional lettings agency, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Haart Lettings has proven to be an unreliable partner and a potential liability to effective property management.

Selling a property
I recently sold my mums property through Haart Estate Agents via the East Ham and Plaistow Branches.
The service I received from Matthew and Helen was outstanding .
They could not do enough for us . They kept up up to date with everything via emails and phone calls and Matthew came to our house on more than one occasion to help us fill out forms that we was not sure on .
I can not fault the service I received from them and would definitely recommend them to my friends and family if they were thinking of selling up and moving home .

First-time buyer
As a first time buyer, although I was very happy when my offer was accepted; on the other hand, I was terrified of unknown. The last thing I expected was to be looked after by anyone from estate agency during the process. I couldn’t be more wrong. I was fortunate that my case was under the care of Helen Lines - Move Manager - haart - East Ham. Helen has been very informative, approachable and tenacious while keeping in touch regularly (on daily or weekly basis) and quite often updating me earlier then my own solicitors. Thanks to Helen, I felt not abandoned and still ‘in the game’ when case was moving slower than I wished for. Helen has been also very effective, making sure challenging communication between two sides were being exchanged and moving forward. Helen has been very professional but also expressed a very human-like approach in challenging moments for me, when things were very stressful. I feel very lucky having Helen Lines supervising my case and profoundly grateful for her support throughout whole process of buying my first property.

Hurtful deceptive response for the problems found in property late during sale process
During the progress of buying the property '41, Eversleigh Road' through Haart East Ham, came to know hazardous problems in the property from Home Survey Level 2 report. I've demanded price reduction of £30k for Chimney Breast removal (which is the most major & complicated problem as it needs local authority & neighbours clearance as it risks fatal accidents to the occupants), dampness issues,.. Even the dampness issue was highlighted from Nationwide during mortgage valuation. But the Estate agent guy Simon Short called me up with a tone of framing me as issued buyer not worth to buy property, will cancel the sale and look for other estate agents for properties like an insult. Found online that estate agents also has legal obligations to disclose problems in the property to the buyer as UK law more favourable on buyers' side. I've asked the estate agent to update their property ad with the disclosed problems in the property. I've spent money on conveyancers, got my credit report affected by a hard search of Nationwide mortgage process and now they are cancelling the sale saying am too loud on asking for price reduction. I just exercised my buyers' right of ensuring the property worth for the money I buy, get the problems sorted in the property or at least get price reduced for the problems in the property. The estate agents tried to reduce the discount by giving shallow layman estimates and misleading steps (to fix the chimney very cheaply without informing the Local Authority for Building Regulations & Planning Permission approval, and avoid the standard process of Structural Engineer inspection to recommend the action required based on building structure & safety)! What they want is getting the property sold at the highest price to keep the sellers happy at the expense of pain for buyers, and then leave the buyers in remorse to fix the problems themselves at the higher costs! Unfortunately, we can take both the seller & agent to court and the law is on the side of buyers' support but it will take more time for the law to be delivered!
