I did not rent a property with HAART but wanted to comment on my experience with the viewing.
Dayana organised a great viewing for quite a poor property. She created an orderly queue when it got busy. Inside she gave us the time of day and talked us through the pros and tenant experience.
She is very personable and an asset to the team. We only did not go for the property as we felt it was overpriced for its size and quality. The landlord should reflect on not making a profit off people living and provide subpar acdompdaion

We have had what is one of the worst experiences of our lives working with Haart Streatham. The credit for this can be attributed to Codeika Bent (Negotiator), Ashu Priya (Branch Manager), Megan Goldberg and Natalie Steed (Property Management).
From the onset, Ashu in particular has consistently lied and misled us in order to get us to sign and move into a property that was in a dire state. Without boring readers of the extreme details (which in our final legal letter consisted of over 40 issues + 150 pictures/videos) of the deceit we faced with Haart, see below a summary of our experience:
- We were promised that all requested works and repairs in our offer letter were completed prior to our move in, upon move in date found that not even one of these had been satisfactorily completed leaving the house in an unsafe condition including a leaking boiler, no lights in rooms and hallways, mould, loose wiring, broken door locks etc.
- No professional clean was performed of the property which was in a filthy condition. This is unacceptable in the middle of a pandemic and also against government guidelines. We were even assured by Ashu that everything was up to standard and that we should be conscious of the ‘damp recently shampooed carpets’ when it was clear they hadn’t even seen a hoover in recent times. The Agents however seemed to believe that it was fine to move into an unclean property.
- Huge amounts of belongings left from previous tenants (truck loads). Even the removals people were unable to do this in one go. None of the remaining items were removed even three weeks into our tenancy.
- Found existence of vermin and rat poison which would have been toxic for our two cats.
- We were originally told that the Landlord lives abroad and that we weren’t allowed his contact details. Luckily with a little bit of research found that it’s a legal requirement for tenants to be provided with these contact details if a written request is made. We later found out that the landlord does not in fact live abroad but in Surrey!
After various back and forths with Ashu, Megan and Natalie, we were forced to seek legal advice and luckily with competent lawyers were able to unwind the contract. To this day Haart Streatham have decided to not take any accountability for the situation.
I recommend to all of those who deal with estate agents that you are incredibly careful, and you keep whatever communications you have with them in writing where possible and to never take them purely at their word. There is a brilliant show by Joe Lycett that uncovers some sad truths and estate agents were discussed in a couple of episodes. We definitely found some of the issues highlighted relatable through this experience with Haart.
Happy to say that upon moving out we have found a new lovely property and it’s been a smooth transition to move in (with luckily more honest and competent Agents).
I highly recommend the agencies haart’s in particular working with a So friendly agent Miss Codeika. very good cooperation, fast communication, friendly atmosphere.thank you so much
I recommend it with all my heart❤️❤️
