I placed an order for 6 costumes on…

I placed an order for 6 costumes on 10/18 and paid extra for 3 day expedited delivery by 10/24. Only one costume came, and it runs very small. The item was listed as girls size small, true to size, equivalent of girls size 6x-8 but the tag clearly says size "4+". I'm pretty disappointed. The remaining items were not shipped in time for delivery by the promised date, so if they are also way off in sizing then none of the costumes will fit and we won't have time to replace them (not to mention the cost that I likely won't be able to have refunded!)

I would give it a zero if I could

I would give it a zero if I could. I ordered a ladies Spider-Man XL costume and paid extra for fast shipping on top of $100 costume….I received a child’s pink carebear costume SM. Not even remotely close who ever the hell packaged this bag. They wouldn’t give a discount for missing my first event if they reshipped what I actually ordered. The guy just told me to order from somewhere else and he’ll refund.

Purchased was made 12 days ago

Purchased was made 12 days ago. After numerous attempts of contacting, I continuously was told it would be shipped and expedited with a follow-up email once it was shipped to track. Email was never received and after waiting on hold for hours numerous days I was informed shipment was out of stock. Zero communication and horrible service. Would never recommend this site.

Bait and switch

I ordered a costume for my daughter and the sent a completely different costume. After staying on hold for over an hour, I was told that they were sold out of hte initial costume and could do nothing but give a refund. My daughter coordinated this costume with her friends and I can’t say how disappointed we are with our experience with this company. She is now left without a costume and will need to do soemthing different from her friends. It felt like a bait and switch - take the money for one costume and send another one.

Sizing inaccurate and terrible return/exchange policy

I followed the sizing measurements got my costume and it was huge. I had to pay an 18% restocking fee and for shipping to return the costume. The instructions stated it HAD to be through Usps. The cost to return was half the cost of the actual costume. The next time I sized down and the costume is still comically huge. Will NEVER purchase from them again. And it's suspicious you actually can't leave reviews on their site. Customer service is hard to contact.

Never buy from here

Never buy from here. They are scammers. I bought a costume here, and when it said it arrived, it never came. When I reached out to customer service, they told me they couldn't help me because I 'opted out of some carbon copy' something- I have no idea what the heck they were even talking about. They wouldn't help me- no refund, nothing. They are bogus. Had never even heard of them, just don't buy- stick to amazon or something more well known.

STAY AWAY. Lying thieves.

Only because I HAD to push one star. Super crooked company. I ordered a costume. Within 30 minutes my office decided another theme. Chatted to cancel and was told it was already shipped. We ALL know that is a lie. 2 days later, I get an email saying it shipped. In order to return it, I have to pay an 18% "restocking fee." This company is a bunch of lying crooks and you need to stay away. I was told even if I refused to return to sender, I would still get the restocking fee and possibly a refund of my $60.

Inaccurate sizing information and terrible customer service

I ordered a costume for my child based on website sizing info and it arrived much smaller than described. Approached customer service for help and they basically told me not their problem, I would have to return and pay shipping and restocking fee. Awful shopping experience, will never order from here again.

UPDATE Oct 17 - Customer Service Manager did reach out to me and refunded the cost of the costume and return shipping. While I'm appreciative that I ultimately got a satisfactory outcome, I would rather not have to resort to posting reviews to get them.

If I could give a zero I would. Customer service is a joke...I paid for 2 day express and I am sitting here after 6 days (minus 2 days weekend) and still no order. When I called they said they would not refund me because I did not insure the delivery??? I NEVER HEARD OF THIS AT ALL. BUYER BEWARE..THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!

Don't buy from here

Don't buy from here. Their size chart describes incorrectly. Panty Outseam is describes all same per different sizes, also chest, waist, hips size are wrongly described. They don't take responsibility the issue cause by their fault.
If you claim "size exchange", they give you a credit (Funbucks$). But once you receive it, you won't reverse it to a refund and you will need to use that Funbucks$ even if you don't want any item to order.

Bad customer service... They said they will email me to clear the issue, but they didn't.

My costume arrived in a decent time but…

My costume arrived in a decent time but the quality was meh. I ordered the Mavis costume, the wig was not great... It was giving Edna mode from The Incredibles 😭 and the bangs were cut terribly. I washed and restyled the wig and cut it where I thought worked and it's kind of okay now. I was able to straighten and flip the ends to make it closer to Mavis. The tights were also poorly made, they were adult size tights but they would only come up to your knee, it was an obvious manufacturer defect. They did refund me for the tights so that was nice at least. I mainly posting my review here because they won't let me post a review to the costume on their website... I would be hesitant to buy here again. Good luck !

So now some time has passed and while I was unhappy with the whole costume they have a great variety at a decent price, if you order here please order way ahead of time and make sure it all fits

Awful Company/Awful Experience

My husband and I had a very scammy experience with HalloweenCostumes.com We ordered a costume for our son today from HalloweenCostumes.com. Several hours later (after the money has already been taken out of our account) they emailed and said our purchase was flagged in THEIR system (not the banks) as high risk. And they wanted us to send a picture front and back of our card along with specific details from our bank. NO WAY WILL WE BE SENDING THIS SCAMMY COMPANY THIS INFORMATION. I absolutely do not recommend this company. We called our bank and they also told us not to send this information. They also said there is no reason for them to flag our purchase when the money was already taken from our account. If they don't refund the money we will be filing a fraud claim along with formal complaints to both the Federal Trade Commission and BBB.

We called our bank, they informed us the charge went through. They also told us the charge wasn't flagged as fraud. Accusing us of fraud for using our own card, then asking on your own (not for the bank) to send a picture of our card should be illegal. Never in our lives have we experienced something like this. To take it upon YOURSELVES to determine whether or not the purchase is fraud, then require a form to be completed, with signatures and pictures of the card is beyond accusatory. We already spoke to our bank. We did nothing wrong.
You're claiming to have not accused us fraud, yet we were sent this, "Unfortunately, it appears that your recent order through us was flagged as potentially high-risk from our automated fraud prevention system," and went on to say if we didn't send the information our order would be canceled. Then requiring a form that even our bank advised us against sending. Telling a customer their purchase is "high risk" in your fraud system, is the exact same as saying it's fraud. If you weren't accusing us of fraud then you wouldn't be asking for a legal form to be completed along with details from our bank and pictures of our card.

We've been in business for over 20 years, along with being accredited with the BBB for the last 15 years. When ordering from any website online, credit card transactions go through the issuing bank's fraud prevention system, as well as the company you're purchasing through, as they are often the ones held liable in the event of an unauthorized transaction. We would never ask you (or anyone) to send any sensitive information - the email you received was an email that's only sent if an order is flagged as potentially unauthorized, and it was simply requesting verification that the physical card was in your possession, with all sensitive information blocked out. Your order was canceled and refunded in full, but please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Edited Reply: I'm sorry if there was any misunderstanding; you were not accused of fraud or wrongdoing - again, we only reached out to verify that the payment method used was in your possession. The payment did go through on your bank's end and then was flagged as high risk on our end.

I bought Dart Vader for my child

I bought Dart Vader for my child, and when it arrived, I was dissatisfied. The photograph and what we received do not match at all. The website is deceiving, and when I attempted to return the costume, They have the worst return policy, therefore I was unable to do so.

The customer service is the terrible

If I could give zero stars I would. The costume was fine, but I could have bought the same costume on Amazon for about £5 more than this joke of a company charges.
I waited over 6 weeks for them to process my refund and only after chasing them multiple times could they be bothered to actually refund my money. The nail in the coffin for this company was the extremely sarcastic responses I got from their customer services team when asking where my refund was. It made my blood boil. I hate this company with a passionate vengeance and would strongly advise anyone to just pay the extra fiver and buy it from a real company that cares about their customers. These guys belong in fancy dress, they are a bunch of clowns.

Fantastic service when an issue arose

Fantastic service when an issue arose. I was sent an item that was neatly packaged but had been worn before and was dirty. My complaint was responded to quickly and I was sent a new item within a few days. Great service and response to the problem. Thank you!
