Avoid, very bad service

Not quite sure who you have in charge of your UK site but have awful customer service. Was worried the costum was not going to arrive in time so ordered an alternative from Amazon. Decided I would return the costumes I purchased from you as they were no longer needed. Only to be told there was a return blackout during Halloween and I was unable to return my products. This actually being illegal in the UK, and against consumer law. Told I would get a refund then immediately told it was a mistake,and reiterated the return blackout. Awful company bad business practices and bad customer service. Would never use again.

Poor return policies and high prices

If you are planning to order on this website, think about twice!!! They have really bad return policies and demand a return fee!!! So be aware of this and read about before you waste your money on something that isn't worthly.

Never Recieved

I ordered on Oct 6th and they shipped through FedEx and it has not arrived yet. They could not fix the problem and then told me that they did not have the full costume in and could do nothing but refund my money. I contacted them on Sunday, October 27, and they could do nothing to fix the problem. Quite poor service and will not use again.

NEVER EVER will I buy from them again

NEVER EVER will I buy from them again. They send DEFECTIVE costume and want to make you pay a restocking fee and less shipping?! When I send photo evidence they say they want a VIDEO TOO?? I can post all the evidence you need here. THEN they are snarky with me. WORST SERVICE EVER

Bad Return Policies

I have been ordering for years from this company and never had an issue until this year. I ordered a costume for my husband (a large is more like a small). It didn't fit. I tried to return it. I went to the policies and it said that if it was within 30 days, I would be able to return/exchange. I contacted the company because on the return page it said that it wasn't eligible for return.

According to them the item is not returnable because of "supply/demand". I will never order from them again. Go to Amazon for costumes!

defective item

I had ordered an inflatable item. It stopped working out of nowhere! I contacted customer service they said because I was out of the refund/exchange period, that they could do nothing. This is an item you have to plug into an outlet in order for it to work. It’s obvious this item was defective reason why it just stopped working.

I was skeptical due to the mixed…

I was skeptical due to the mixed reviews but I couldn't be happier with this company. They made a mistake on the method of shipping I chose but refunded me promptly once they realized the mistake. The quality of the costumes are top notch and the prices are AMAZING. Even though they made a shipping mistake, I am still so pleased with my purchase!

I never received my order

I never received my order. It was actually sent back to them on October 22nd, per the USPS. However, despite trying to reach them multiple times, via Amazon direct messaging, via phone (the message say it's after hours even though I called at 12 PM on a Thursday), or via direct messaging on the website, I have not gotten a resend nor a refund. It is now Oct 26th, and still no refund nor communication.

Unreliable, standoffish and unabashed

Cancelled an order in the middle of the night after days wasted processing. Left me in the lurch and then told me to “just Google it” when asked about other options

Look at their reply. “It does appear we refunded you” yes, you did the bare minimum of hitting the refund button at a stage where I could no longer order from elsewhere in time. You also had the snottiest customer service when I asked for help with alternatives. You are a terrible company

Ordered for my toddler...it got…

Ordered for my toddler...it got delivered but too big so I have to return it..i tried doing online/on their website but it won't let me because it was marked as not delivered yet on their system. Been calling for 2 days and both calls are almost 2 hours and at the end I wasn't able to talk to anyone coz they're closed already.

Slow shipping, decent quality. Fits well

** Update 10/28/24: I have received one of the costumes. It is decent quality and fit well. I just wish the company would be better about their shipping. Printing a label and having it sit at the warehouse for 3 days does not mean it ships. I may order from here again but I will plan well in advance so I don't have to stress.

** Original review: If you want your costume in time for Halloween, order 1 year in advance. Do not trust any delivery date on their site or any date their customer service tells you. It will arrive way later than that. You will get an email that it shipped but every time you track it, the order is still sitting there. If you contact their customer service they will say they will get you a new order but yet again, you check on it and its still sitting there. I don't know if I will ever get my order.... This company only has 1 job to do, get customers costumes for Halloween. You would think they could get their one and only job right. My original order was supposed to arrive on 10/23. On 10/23 it was still sitting there. Customer service resubmitted my order and promised I would have it by 10/25. I am writing this review on 10/25 and still do not have either order. Never ordering from here again.

Terrible Service and Costume Sizing

Terrible Service and Costume Sizing. Ordered 4 Halloween costumes with plenty of time and received them. 3 out of the 4 did not fit. I tried to return and exchange and the return page is listing one of the items INELIGIBLE for return. I returned to the page of the item and NO WHERE does it say if you purchase this item you can not return/exchange it. I tried to call and it says its after business hours. EXCEPT its not. Its 4pm central standard time on Friday and the recording says they should be open till 5pm. I see other replies on here to use the LIVE CHAT... except the live chat is either off or not working. The icon just goes around in circles as if it were lost. THIS IS UNNACCEPTABLE... especially the weekend before Halloween, given this is a Halloween store.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible! These guys are scammers. I ordered a costume and paid over $100 with priority shipping to have it delivered on time for an event - it NEVER arrived! I tried calling their customer service line, waited over 40 minutes, and then the line just disconnected. I also tried using the chat on their website, sent emails, and sent them a DM on social media but never received any response. I honestly never write reviews but this experience was so bad I felt the need to warn other people so they don't have to go through this.

Ordered two disco costumes but only received one nun costume

I ordered two costumes from this company off of Amazon. They were matching disco outfits. One was for me and the other was for my boyfriend. I was so excited because they were so cute! That excitement took a turn when I opened the package that came in the mail. It said both costumes were delivered, but when I opened the package the only thing in it was a women’s nun costume. Nothing like what I ordered. I waited on the phone for over an hour to be connected with someone. While waiting I decided to jump on the live chat to see if it was faster. It was! I was connected with Dan. He’s the only reason I am giving this two stars instead of one. He was able to resolve my situation. I give him praise for working with a company that clearly does not know what they are doing. I am not the only one who encountered this issue in the last few days. I feel for everyone who received the wrong costumes. Hopefully they get the pleasure to chat with Dan to resolve the issue.

Oversells Items, Cancels Orders

I bought a costume on eBay... Turns out they oversold it and let me know a day later, cancelling the order on me when it was too late to order the costume from other venues in time for Halloween, so now I don't have the costume I needed. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid or waste your money

Avoid or waste your money, absolute scam, item is poor quality, and I'm being generous, I wish I could give no stars. no refund allowed for Halloween items ordered after the 6th October? Even if return allowed you have to pay 18% restock fee and all postage and if they deem the return to be against policy you get no refund, no item back and they don't even let you know!

Complete Scam

Complete Scam! I ordered a Chun Li costume, paid extra for it to be delivered quicker. It arrived in time but they sent me the wrong costume, I have no idea what the costume they sent me is meant to be, it was a blue top and blue pants in male size M with a red bow. I have tried to contact the company to no avail. No response, I have my party tomorrow and now i have nothing to wear. I just spent alot of money for this costume and the delivery, for what? No one answers the phone line, no one responds to my emails. It is very scammy.

Don’t do it

When given two chances, they sent the wrong costume twice. On October 16, I ordered a police costume for my kiddo. I received an adult-size cat costume instead. I contacted the company right away and they said they would send the correct one. The second costume we received was for a yellow adult-sized jumpsuit. I held for an hour and a half with their customer service before a message came on saying they were closed. This was six hours before they were scheduled to close.

Wrong item sent

I ordered a women’s XL spider-man costume. However, I received ghostbusters gloves instead. I was able to receive a refund but I really wanted the costume not a refund. And customer service isn’t very helpful either. I’m highly disappointed about not being able to dress for Halloween this year. I do not recommend Halloweencostume.com. Please purchase elsewhere.
